Overall we enjoyed our dinner experience here. Good cocktails, nice wine choices, and delicious food. Our server was attentive and we were happy with the timing of our meal. The only disappointment was when we went to get seated. We made a reservation for 2 the week before and was told by the hostess that she would have to seat us in the bar area because we booked online. When my husband questioned this, she got a little short with us with her reply. If that is their practice maybe it should be noted somewhere. We’ve never run into this with other restaurants we have booked. Seating for us usually isn’t a big deal but when you spend over $100 for dinner for two and are celebrating a milestone birthday you don’t want to sit in the bar!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves at Botto's.

Our waitress was very professional and courteous but I didn’t like being sat right next to the bar with a bunch of drunks being very loud and obnoxious after we started eating. It was very loud and we had a migraine by the time we left. The food was ok. Maybe we just didn’t particularly cared for what we asked. It was my our first Valentines Day Date ever. We usually stayed in and spent the day with our kids. Might try again but definitely not if they sit us in the bar area.

I only say special occasion because it can be pricey. Of course it depends on what you order. The menu is very large. Food was delicious..

The appetizers were great, the entrees were fair, the service was SUPERB. Unfortunately, the noise level was just too high and they gave us a tiny table in a large dining room.

Botto's is my favorite restaurant! The taste and quality of the food is second to none! The portions are large and the service is incredible. I love this place!

We made early reservations on opentable and arrived 430. As the hostess grabbed the menus and began walking we told her we wanted to sit in the restaurant area and not the bar. She had some ridiculous answer about when you make reservations online they are for the bar area. We were obviously not happy and it was early but she sat us in the noisy and old bar area. I was ready to walk out but the server was very polite and accommodating. The food along with the server saved the night. The bread was hot and the pasta fagioli was good. I had chicken Milanese which was good and 2 people in my party had lobster ravioli which was good as well. The hostess and her ignorance almost ruined it and I would question going back because of it.

We had a great time at Botto’s for Christmas Eve dinner! The food and service was wonderful! We just moved to the area from Chicago and are happy to have found this local spot! We will be back.

Authentic Italian food made with fresh local ingredients. Plump fresh oysters and other seafoods. Convenient to Rt 295 and NJ Turnpike. This is a neighborhood gem!

We’ve always been big fans of Botto’s, which I why we were incredibly disappointed with our experience. Our reservation was for 5, and we ended up being at the restaurant for two and a half hours. There was another larger party dining at the same time as we were, and we ended up having large amounts of time gaps in between our courses.

This was not a typical dining experience for us. The food, as always, was wonderful. It’s just a shame that the staff wasn’t prepared to handle a full dining room.

Bottos was a great dining experience overall. The food was cooked exactly how we asked, food was presented very well, and the taste was spot on. We will definitely be coming back and suggesting Bottos to other people.

Food was good. Waitress was harried and perfunctory. Never cracked a smile and not a bit welcoming.
The room was LOUD... I mean LOUD!!!
Food was good and portions were fair.
Do something about the ambiance and it could be a really nice place.

It was made clear to us that Open Table was not the restaurant's preferred way to have guests make a reservation. We were told that if we wanted to "sit in the dinning room" we needed to call the restaurant directly otherwise you get what you get. With that said, the food selection was good and the food we ordered was delicious.

We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience from the moment we were seated. The service was good and the food was delicious. We shared the sausage and broclirabe appetizer which was outstanding. The wine list is top notch , so we went with a Cabernet. All of us chose different entrees. I enjoyed a gnocchi & sausage dish, cooked to perfection. My companions selected a chicken dish and a fish diis. Both enjoyed. We would go back.

Had the chicken culet, broccoli rabe and sharp provolone sandwich and it was good. Was here for Harry Potter Festival and it was nice and market next door was great.

My wife and I have dined at Botto's several times. We find the food and atmosphere to our liking. Our only complaint was our waitress. While she was nice, she was also very indifferent to us. She appeared to be distracted and perhaps a little overwhelmed which was surprising because we had dinner at 5pm and the restaurant didn't become busy until around 6:30 p.m. I'm fairly certain we will dine at Botto's again in the future but we will definitely consider the service we received if a choice between another restaurant arises.

Pure happenstance. Pulled off I-295 for gas. Decided to seek a dinner location. A look up on Trip Advisor followed by Open Table got me a reservation in 20 minutes. 2.5 mile ride and seated.
Food and service were terrific.

Returned to try to remember why we did not eat at this restaurant since it is near our home. Found out why. Food was tasteless and seriously overpriced for what you got. Will not return.

We've eaten at Botto's often but this time we were disappointed. Had reservations for 4 at 7PM. Arrived at 6:50. We were told our table was being cleared. Asked if we would go up to balcony which we agreed to but after waiting for 25 minutes beyond our time we were seated by the doorway with people {including children} running around and thru to the bar area. Very haphazard evening. Seemed like there were too many people but no one knew what was going on. Food was just OK, service was less than we expected. Won't go back for a while...sad to say.

The food was very good. This is our 6th time here. I had a lemon drop martini that was very well made. I have had one here in the past that was not very good, this one was excellent.

Outstanding service and food. Great for large parties. Weekend music outside. Bonus is a great specialty food store and gift shop. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. If you love Italian, you'll love this restaurant.
