As usual had an AMAZING dinner! The renovations they made look terrific
In LAX for a short trip, tired of hotel food, was looking at places nearby. Saw linguine and clams on the menu, saw good reviews thought I'd give it a try. Glad I did! Wonderful dish, service was great. I'll Make sure to stop in next time I come through LAX.
Food was great. Great wine list also. Seated in back area shaped like a 3/4 Bowl where sound resonance. Birthday celebration across us made it hard to hear each other talk. Maybe more vino would have made me more tolerant. Otherwise all good.
The Osso Bucco was great! The chocolate souffle was unfortunately dry and flavorless and had to send it back.
A definite hit. One word of caution, however. If you plan to bring your dog and sit on the patio, be sure that the weather is right. We went on a seemingly lovely beach day. The wind whipped up and it got unbearably cold. The restaurant is unprepared for patio seating in inclement weather, with no patio wind breaks or any other accommodations for weather. Not recommended for windy, cool evenings.
Service was welcoming and spectacular. Food was amazing. Even spotted a couple of celebs. Locals at the bar were friendly. We have to go back in a couple of days for the lunch menu! Highly recommend!!
Horribly noisy. Service was too fast but considering the noise; this was a blessing.
Good as usual! Thanks to Oscar and the guys - you made the time enjoyable.
We enjoyed our meal and overall dining experience with these exceptions: the people at the table next to us we loud and my mahi mahi was rubbery. I should have told our excellent waiter right away (instead at the end of the meal) and I’m sure he would have taken care of me.
Excellent service . Love the new look and new menu and especially the the new owner Elsie!! I’ll tell all my friends about the new bottle inn !
Congrats Elsie - I’m so happy for you and a huge thank you for the gift card . That was very kind and generous!!
Best Italian in the south bay! Great wine selection, ambiance, and cozy.
Bottle Inn has been a "go-to" restaurant for us for many years - nice location, good food, reasonably priced and a neighborhood gem. We were celebrating our 22nd anniversary - enjoyed the food and the service was great. I just finished the leftovers for lunch. One surprise...I had asked for the little table by the window, but I guess I hadn't sat there in a while, because it was right where a bar was installed. So our romantic dinner was a bit noisy...although I could watch some of the Olympics. I also was assuming that since I had mentioned we were celebrating that we would have gotten a complimentary dessert as restaurants usually do, but that didn't happen. But that's okay - we'll be back in the future.
Excellent in all areas!
Great food and old school ambiance. Wine and champagnes only. Be prepared it is loud inside. As for seating in wine room
The Bottle Inn has stepped up it's dining game since being purchased by a new owner who was an employee for many years. Menu, quality of cuisine, ambience have all improved tenfold under the new owners leadership. Service was always excellent and hasn't changed. Always a nice complement to any establishment when employees remain in their positions through transition and most did!!! Three favorite items on the dinner menu hold me back from considering other yummy meal options, eventually I'll try something different, maybe in 2019!
Thanks!
Waited to be seated while employee was having a conversation standing right in front of us.
Took about 10 minutes before the waiter came to our table.
Both dishes I ordered were below average.
Only one person in our party of 6 liked their food.
Just sub-standard in every way.
The waiter was very nice
The food was not the best too salty the sauces weren’t great ruined a good osso buco dish because the sauce was horrible
Great for a date, special occasion, family gathering or really any reason. Always amazing food and service.
Love our neighborhood gem. The staff are always very attentive and they remember everyone that had dined there. We always feel very welcomed.
The new owners did a fabulous job keeping the authenticity of this Hermosa Beach gem of a restaurant and continue to please! Great food and ambiance. Thank you!
Delicious food and great service! Thank you Noel!
Service could have been better. . Staff was very nice but our waiter forgot about us
This has been our neighborhood spot for years. Always great food and service. The prices have been out of line since it was sold recently. Either way, still the best dessert in the South Bay. We sometimes go there just to get the bread pudding. Don’t miss it!
Very nice. They had great food and amazing service! Excellent wine selection however I little over priced in my opinion... but then again it’s Hermosa Beach LoL
Every Valentine’s Day I take my wife there. The food is always great and fresh. The service is excellent. Need to make a reservation weeks in advance for this day.
A wonderful experience. Save room for the bread pudding
This is a Treasure in Hermosa Beach with authentic & excellent Italian food. The restaurant has been here forever-- and I hope it stays for many more years. It is simple, good, quiet and excellent. This is like an Italian joint you would find in the Village in NYC, (but pay twice as much for the food if it were in NYC ). We had fried calamari appetizer, and it was not greasy-- it was light, and tender. The Chicken Marsala is not heavy, its tasty and not greasy at all. The pasta is excellent and fresh. The veal scaloppini was light and very thin, which is how it should be. When you sit down, you are IMMEDIATELY given the MOST DELICIOUS garlic bread...and they will refill the basket if you ask. Desserts are very good-- if you have any room left. We have come here several times, and we like that there are people of all ages (from couples dating, young families with children, and people in their 40-70's!). Its a treasure-- for sure.
You feel at home!
Best of the best!!!
We've been here a few times but not for a year or so. It was one of our favorite date spot. Last Saturday night we went there for a date night. The food was disappointing. They served garlic bread cold, my finance's starter was served 10mins before my starter. His soup was not great and the calamari was average. The bartender served us and was lovely but it seemed that the staff were all over the shop. The hostess seemed frazzled when we asked to move to a window seat. The dining room was so loud we didn't want to spend the evening shouting to each other. It was a strange night and although we hadn't complained the bartender seemed to realize that the service and food was not up to standard and gave us complimentary desert and coffee. Very nice of him! We will not be rushing back, simply because there are much better restaurants in the area.
Great food and Oscar is the best server ever. Back room was very noisy as some folks thought they were at a bar instead of a nice restaurant.
We’ve been coming to the Bottle Inn for 40 years, but we hadn’t been there since they remodeled the restaurant. The restaurant is even better now with the small bar for people waiting for a table. Our dinner and the artichoke appetizer was scrumptious. We’ll back back sooner than later!
My family and I had a lovely time . This was our first time visiting after the remodel. They did an awesome job. Menu has also been updated and the food did not disappoint.
Good time. Last time @ Bottle Inn was a few years ago. Still has terrific staff, great view and ambiance.
Great service, great food, will definitely be back.
Really friendly wait staff, easy reservations, and super delicious polenta lasagna!
The Bottle in was our go to place. We were their a week ago and had a very nice dinner even though its under new ownership. I decide go back and bring out of town guests I asked for a special table and special occasion was a birthday. The manager gave away our table and put us in the back room where the light can kill you. You feel like the spot light is on you.
The manager who talked to us last week, didn't remember us talked to us as if this was our first time their. Also very rude. He didn't apologize just did not care. We have been coming to the Bottle Inn for over 40 years. This will be our last time and we will tell all our friends .
We just walked out. Went to Fonz's in Manhattan in Manhattan beach where we were we treated like royalty.
A local Classic back to its old charm after a recent renovation. Popular and crowded, it has a good energy. Not a quick meal but that was fine with me, more time to enjoy the ambiance and time with friends.
Despite having a reservation, we were made to wait a long time. The bar was full, so our choices were outdoors on a cold night or standing in the crowded entry space. The restaurant was very noisy the entire time we were there.
We ate at the old Bottle Inn numerous times each year before it recently changed ownership. The new menu is way too limited, unlike the previous one. And the food is not nearly as good....we've been here twice since the remodel and didn't care that much for it either time. This last time I had the Osso Bucco (how can you mess that up?)....but it had some kind of funky sauce that pretty much ruined the dish. Probably won't be going back. Also, last Saturday night the restaurant was overbooked and way way too noisy and crowded.....poor scheduling I guess.
We miss the old Bottle Inn!!!!!
Great friendly service. Nice wine selection. Good food. Amazing mushroom soup. No liquor (only wine/beer). Fun neighborhood atmosphere.
