Bottle Inn Hermosa Ratings and Reviews
Really enjoyed my meal here. The Osso Buco over risotto was tender and very flavorful. The appetizer with baked bread, mozzarella cheese and sauce was delicious. Outstanding wine list including great Italian wines. My wife has the Cannoli with vanilla bean ice cream. All the deserts are made at the restaurant.
Great food, service, ambience! Menu is spot on with several new items and the great classic dishes you expect from Bottle Inn. Remodel was well done giving the restuarant a much needed "facelift" while keeping the traditional charm of this Beach Cities favorite!
So disappointed , with the new remodel I was hoping they update there menu as well. They did not . We were seated in the back of the resturant ,where they keep there wine. all night they kept interrupting us so they could get to the wine bottles . Will not be back
I have always loved the food at the Bottle Inn and they have a great wine selection. After closing for renovations, there is a much more up-to-date bar and feel to the place. They did a great job on the renovation, revamping the menu presentation, yet it is the same friendly staff with great service and excellent food.
The newly remodeled Bottle Inn was very enjoyable and delicious place to meet old friends. I ordered the Salmon vodka dish which was amazing!! We also ordered the calamari as an appetizer and both were amazing! Our waitress, MaryLu was delightful and made our experience a wonderful evening. Definitely be back!
This restaurant has been special to my husband & I for 40 years and I was thrilled to see it reopened. The remodel has decluttered it without removing any of the ambience! It's more open, less cluttered. Love the bar in the front! All of my favs are still on the menu and happily, many of the wait staff have remained ! Go! It's like visiting an old friend!
After a few months of renovations, the Bottle Inn recently, reopened. We dined there within the first week and found the new owner did a great job balancing some of the features that were signatory of the old restaurant with some much needed improvements in everything from lighting to booths to champagne glasses to a new bar.
The calamari was some of the best I have had in a while as it was served without the tenticles which I find unnerving.
The main courses were hearty and had good taste. The flamed dishes landed a little flat as the liquor didn't burn off enough to allow the taste of the food to stand out. The bourbon or whatever they used was all you tasted. Regardless, the pastas and other dishes were great. It seems like the price point is a little higher but it is worth it.
The tiramisu was incredible. They are still working on their lemon cake recipe so that was not available. I would pass on the cheesecake. It was ordinary and unremarkable. (The Costco cheesecake is much better. ) HA.
All in all, we are happy to have the beloved Bottle Inn back in our rotation of neighborhood restaurants.
Bottle Inn is one of those neighborhood places that has been in Hermosa for years. It is ticked away on a beach access street, and has a homey feel to it. Seems to be perfect for both dates and families. (saw a lot of both that night.) The decor hasn't changed much and it could use a face lift, but the food is good, the wine list is extensive with a lot of value (not as gougy as other places in the South Bay) and it has a relaxed atmosphere perfect fort he community. The service is solid and the waitstaff know the food and drink so it's easy to get recommendations.
Our server was friendly and informative and made sure we received our food just as we had ordered. Great Italian food with many favorites on the menu, but some innovative special items as well. Food was very well prepared and artfully served. Very pleasant experience in all.
I haven't eaten at the Bottle Inn in over 10 years, but the food is still just as good as I remembered! I had the eggplant and hubby had the Chicken Parmigiana dish. They were both fresh and tasty. Bring a light jacket and you can dine outside to enjoy the nice sunset view!
