Botticelli’s South Congress is a fun and tasty Italian restaurant located in the heart of the exciting "SOCO" district. Botticelli's serves fresh and delicious Italian food combining old family recipes with new, inventive ones. Andrew and Matt Botticelli are the proud owners and are made even more proud by the food that Botticelli's delivers through its amazing staff. There are both an intimate dining room up front and a large beautiful beer garden out back, where there is live music Thursday through Saturday night. Full menu is available inside or out and at either bar. Look forward to seeing you soon.

Botticelli's Ratings and Reviews
I really enjoyed the overall environment. The people were social and having a good time. I wasn't too excited after lunch and dinner. We had the lasagna and the ice cream cake(not sure of actual name). I enjoyed the lasagna but was hoping for a bit more food. A side would have been great. The cake was good but probably wouldn't get it again. Overall I would recommend this place to a couple and I am planning to try something different next time I plan to go. This place is great because the staff was excellent and hostess were nice.
Started with some cocktails while we waited for our table to be ready. Mike the bartender served us up some excellent drinks. The food was excellent and paired well with wine we picked from their expansive wine list. Overall, it was a great dining experience! Highly recommend this restaurant located in a very cool area of Austin that offers great bars and a few music venues all within easy walking distance of each other.
This is one of my favorite places for authentic, delicious, comforting Italian cuisine. Every time we take friends to Botticelli's, our friends fall in love with the place. Fantastic vibe, great indoor and outdoor experience. The best homemade butternut squash ravioli ever, ever, ever. The service is A+. attentive, interested, knowledgable. I love everything about it...especially the butternut squash ravioli...
Overall experience was good. Server was knowledgeable, helpful, and not overly attentive. Atmosphere is cozy, reminds me of A typical neighborhood Italian restaurant in either New York or Chicago. They would have to up their game, to survive in a city with a lot of Italian restaurants. Pasta I was thick and tough, Dough was over worked. Steamed clams were nice.
This place was highly recommend by a friend who ate there this past June. Chef change? The duck was rubber, not even edible. And ravioli was not cooked and too doughy. Our easier hovered over our table too much, not giving us our space to enjoy. By far worst experience and we should requested no payment on the duck entree. But we were tired from traveling and didn't feel like dealing with our waiter about it. Super disappointed and would never eat there again or recommend. The only thing good worth mentioning, our cheese plate. I feel bad for the harsh review but it's an honest one.
We were very pleased with our experience at botticellis. The food hit the spot, we were craving traditional Italian and got it in spades. The manager also comped our appetizer as the wait was a bit over our reserved time.
The place is a bit small but right next door to continental club, so was perfect for a date night. Italian food, plus jazz, yes please!
Thanks for the great evening botticellis!
We were bopping around South Congress not long ago as a family, and my husband mentioned he'd always wanted to try Boticelli's. When it came time for me to pick a date night destination, I was so happy to see them pop up on OpenTable. We were very happy with the menu. We picked a half dozen items and let the server and kitchen sort it out as courses. Everything was timed so perfectly and tasted heavenly. The "Botticelli Bread" was magnificent!
I've been a fan of Botticelli's since their opening. The food creativity, ingredients and prep continue to be good. Service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant itself is located in an older, modest building and has traditionally had a 'local' appeal but recently I have noticed the facilities are getting a run-down feel/appearance. The ability to achieve parking and actually get to the restaurant has become so much more challenging to the point of being a real dis-satisfier. Because of these I do not have an intention to return.
It has been years since we ate at Botticelli's. The food was good with very generous portions. Our server that evening was outstanding, which is hard to find in Austin even at fine dining establishments. My only serious complaint about the food was that the ravioli dough was too thick and that the dough overwhelmed the filling. My wife had the duck with fig sauce, the portion was very large, and the fig sauce was too much and too strong for the whole dish. I had the lasagna, which was huge and very good, although somewhat under spiced and a bit bland. The clam starter was excellent!
Everything about Botticelli's was a win! The ambiance is perfect - small restaurant with attentive service. The food was incredible - some of the best Italian food I have ever had and the Cesar Salad was the best salad I have tried! Highly recommend the Botticelli bread appetizer. You can't go wrong!
Botticelli's is an Austin treasure. Wisely, they never change. South Congress is the setting outside, but inside is a restaurant that could easily be found in New York or Rome. This is a place you take visitors when they want to go where locals go instead of the flavor of the month tourist trap.
Botticelli's used to be my favorite restaurant. Then the last three times I have gone something has happened...so much so that my husband asks "what is it with you and this restaurant?" The food has always been quality but there is always something happening to me. There was a bug (the bad kind) in my menu one night and I killed it in the menu....things like that. This last time I was looking forward to getting back there and my cocktail had a receipt in in...a whole long receipt amongst the ice, floating around. I don't even put lime in my drink because my anxiety and phobia won't allow it so to find a receipt...well that was the nail on the coffin. Bye Bye old friend.
Lived here since '98 and almost "distraught" that I only found this hidden gem last week, on a recommendation from a friend. While Vespaio gets most of the press, this place - also on Soco, just a few doors down from Continental Club - is on par with its Italian neighbor. Please don't tell too many other people about it ;)...
My partner took me here for my birthday and it was a delicious meal. The wine is good, the bread to start off with is delicious, and our entrees were delicious! We had the ravioli and the steak. It's a little cramped inside the restaurant between the tables and also the people waiting to be sat crowding near the door which is the reason I subtracted one star from ambience but otherwise it was a lovely dining experience and we will be back.
We were a group of four people and were disappointed with the drinks and the food: the drinks were too strong (comparing to what is to be expected and we are quite used to strong drinks) and the pasta (ravioli, that was in two dishes) was too thick and not well cooked. The place is average nice and the service was good, but I wouldn't try it again.
The food was excellent, the service was great. A party of 8 showed up with 3 children and no reservation. The Botticelli's staff was too accommodating to our liking, as this resulted in 10+ minutes of dragging heavy tables and chairs around on the tile floor while the children ran around screaming.
It's a cute, romantic, intimate restaurant. No idea why people think it's kid friendly, but it ruined our experience.
We tried the clams and shrimp from the appetizers list, and the quality was really good. The pasta was very fresh, and the fillet was grilled to perfection. While the noise level tends to be on the high side, we never felt it interfered with our conversations.
What would help: valet parking, please :)
