Excellent service and the best lasagna!
Our reservation was for 7:45 but we arrived early and got to sit early which was nice. Caitlin was our server and she was great. The food was amazing. It was kind of noisy and we couldn’t really hear each other without yelling but overall had a great time
We visited here for Valentine's dinner. They had a pre-fixed menu, which was fine by us. The food was absolutely delicious and paired beautifully. Our waitress was a delight, Candice(sp?). She wass so helpful and made the night even better. We liked it so much, we stayed at the bar when Done and had even more fun with the bartender, she was so great( sorry blanking on her name but, she makes a mean bloody Mary mix apparently[Will test this when we go for brunch]). We will be back.
We were 25 minutes late for Valentines and they still had our table... Our server Candice was awesome! Food was terrific, and the hostess at the door reassured us parking at the lot down the street would probably be okay (it was)...
WE WENT FOR SATURDAY BRUNCH AS THEY JUST STARTED THIS OFFERING>. VERY AUTHENTIC ITALIAN ATMOSPHERE >. CHARMING WAITSTAFF AND OWNERS
GOOD MENU SELECTION AND FOOD WELL PREPARED>. WE WILL BE BACK
This place is amazing. The food is really outstanding- deliciously prepared and beautifully presented. We sat at the bar and Michelle took fantastic care of us with great recommendations for food and wine. Eat here, then go next door and see some music at the Continental Club.
Long-time ATX resident; first-time Botticelli's diner. It's a smallish, rather "intimate" space on the inside, though quite charming and tastefully appointed. Seating capacity likely doubles when weather favors the outdoor area. Solid menu with some interesting dishes. We had their take on the duck (seared breast w/ duck Confit ravioli) and the tagliatelli with 4 very large meatballs for a more "autentico" take on the fare. Both were great and half the pasta went home. So, yes, large portions. The wine list as one might guess was largely Italian with a very nice number of WBTG so you could easily finagle a taste. The servers were happy to oblige in this regard. Which brings me to what made Botticelli's stand out more than anything and HEAD & SHOULDERS above 90% of Austin restaurants these days - Service. From entry to exit these guys NAILED it from friendly greetings to thoughtful recommendations and constant, but by no means overbearing attention. They functioned as a team and my oh my was it refreshing. Too many restaurants these days overlook the importance of a top-notch waitstaff and it is to their detriment. Props to you Botticelli's for hitting on all cylinders.
Friendly waitstaff with excellent service. Focused northern Italian menu executed well.
Wonderful neighborhood atmosphere with great food!
I made this reservation for when my mom came in from out of town. We just vacationed in Italy last year and Botticelli’s was a lovely authentic trattoria for us to reimagine we were back in Florence. The pasta, wine and ambiance was wonderful!
My meatballs were cold around the hot pasta. But the bread filled with salami and prosciutto was amazing, and so was the lasagna and bolognese. Tiramisu was great but we do like more ladyfingers and not mostly mascarpone.
Would come back and try again and hopefully all my food would be hot.
We sat at table close by bar and bartender was very loud being friendly and talking to folks at the bar in the beginning of our dinner then she left and noise level was better.
Highly recommend outdoor seating for a date night. Botticelli bread is a must. Overall great food. Service can be a tad slow but overall very good.
Great service, small cozy restaurant and the lamb was amazing.
Brittany our server was excellent! We were unsure of which Italian wine to choose, so she brought us three small tastings and we fell in love with one of them! She also suggested some delicious meals that we ordered and were very happy with. Excellent service! The food met more than our expectations and the strawberry trifle for dessert was our favorite! The ambiance was nice and we were seated right away. Already looking forward to coming back!
The B bread never fails to be the bomb
Cozy ambiance, excellent cocktails, innovative menu. The foccacia bread basket was half fresh and half dried out. Salads were delicious, my husband’s pasta with Italian sausage (instead of meatballs) was fab, my duck missed the mark on two levels. The breast was tough and the confit (dry) stuffed ravioli was average. All was salvaged by our waiter, who took it off of our bill. We would try again if we lived in Austin, but there are so many other restaurants to try, probably won’t.
Our out-of-town business group needed a flexible menu and good atmosphere. Every person raved about their food and this dinner was the talk of the rest of the trip!
Each year we travel to Austin for the 3M Half Marathon. For the last 4 years we have made Botticelli's our "pre-race" dinner. Each visit has been great! The owner, Matt Botticelli is such a nice guy. This last visit we had Jaclyn as our server. She was great! We love the food and the ambiance. We will continue to visit Botticelli's every time we go to Austin.
One of our favorite Italian restaurants in Texas - amazing ones are hard to find! Do yourself a favor and actually eat the bread and if they have mushroom soup when you go, be sure to get it! Lasagna, mushroom ravioli, lamb chops...all amazing!
We love Botticelli's. We are so happy to have found out about this restaurant. Everything we have tried here is simply wonderful. The service is terrific and we love the atmosphere. They have the best tiramisu in Austin.
