We came for Austin Restaurant Weeks, and we were blown away by both the food, and the service! I will definitely be making a return trip to try more things on the menu. (Don't skip dessert)
Intimate restaurant with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Excellent house made pastas and sauces. The Botticelli bread is not to be missed and can be a great meal all by itself. Interesting wine list with some real hidden jewels.
The restaurant was quaint and warm. Lots of new places in Austin are flashy, modern and often very loud. This felt like the "good old days" in downtown Austin. The food was excellent and I can't wait to go back. The service was perfect. She was there when you needed her and not there when you didn't. Timing between courses was complete perfect. Very enjoyable experience in all areas.
Food is exceptional. The bartender is my favorite, as she creates her own special drinks, and they are pretty and also exceptional. Kudos to her!
First time here. Won’t be the last time. Very impressed. Server was awesome. All the food was great. We were here for restaurant week, and got the four course dinner. Very tasty, well presented and good sized portions.
Great night out - we went back the next right too
Small personal and fabulous! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. A must visit location in Austin.
Todo excelente comida servicio y lugar
We enjoyed several aspects of Botticelli's. Outside we had lively music and casual atmosphere and when we got to our reserved table inside we had quiet and pleasant surroundings with good service and excellent food. We had five different entrees and every single one was fabulous. The wait staff was attentive but not over-bearing. Good food, good wine, good friends and plenty of laughter to make a night perfect.
Botticelli's never disappoints! The food, the service, the atmosphere is always enjoyable -- and very authentic. They are an Austin gem!
Our dinner at Botticelli was memorable. The place is a little bit small but it is cozy and it has a vibe, so make your reservations (i did not check the terrace as we were under a heat wave).
Everybody in our party (4) enjoyed their cocktails; my old fashioned was very tasty. For appetizer, the veggie bread was excellent. It was delicious of course with a crusty outside and soft inside with roasted veggies and the accompany tomato sauce made it a great treat.
I usually order the pasta carbonara when I visit Italian restaurants for the 1st time; this is how I measure up restaurants, by the simplest of dishes (or maybe I just like pancetta/bacon); I liked it a lot that it makes me salivate just thinking about it. My wife had the risotto with scallops; I could eat the risotto by itself and not care for the mollusk (which was a little bit undercook). Our friends had the mussels and the pansotti di fungi. Mussels are always a crowd pleaser so no problem there; my friend liked his mushroom ravioli, but it was good for me.
We shared their strawberry short cake which I strongly suggest; we were fighting for the last piece of it. I accompanied it with an espresso with one spoon of sugar.
Service was very very good. We made Andrew know how much we enjoyed eating at his restaurant.
If there is one thing I think it can be improved (meaning it was not bad, but could be better), it would be for the water man to be a little bit more engaging when trying to ask for our plates or filling up our glasses; he was very quiet and I was like trying to figure out what he wanted to do. Nonetheless, this did not take away from our experience. I'm sure this is not his normal and had other things in his head. We are humans after all.
All in all, this is a solid find for me. I will look forward to try their other dishes in my next trip to Austin.
The food is great. The raviolli is wonderful. They are very good at suggesting a wine.
The food was Truly incredible! The salad was fresh and delish, wine was a good pour, They modified a dish for me because I’m vegetarian- it turned out perfect! What made the experience over the top is the service… The female bartender was the most attentive incredible server even though she was so busy And we were not sitting at the bar!! Family.....we will return and return!
Both waitress and busboy were super attentive, talkative. Super pleasant. Food was wonderful as always. My daughter’s birthday, she enjoyed herself immensely.
The food was excellent and we love the charm of the restaurant..One of our favorites that is consistently good
The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Our waiter gave us some good suggestions and provided immediate answers to our many questions. It was a bit noisy (we were inside), but it was not overwhelming. Each course set a high standard and that carried through to dessert, both of which were large enough to be shared. Although the restaurant appeared to be quite busy, we never felt rushed and the entire dining experience was very pleasurable. We will be back.
Matt Botticelli always offers the best drinks, food and dining experience ! Never disappoints!
Exceptional! I've been before... but usually do the happy hour... This time we had the full dining experience and all 3 of us were absolutely blown away! The Carbonara and the Squash Ravioli were terrific! The Caesar and mista salads were perfect... and that Damn Botticilli Bread was Tooo Damn Good! WE shared the Tira Misu and left super happy!!! My sweetie, Doug, had never been and is already talking about another reason to go back! Thank you for everything... Jaimy did a great job!
Tried Botticelli’s for the first time and had an outstanding experience across the board - food delicious, service excellent and very convenient location. Suggest using parking in back - inexpensive lot or plenty of street parking. Also, there outdoor “beer garden” in back is worth checking out - shady and quiet.
Food was great, service was too. Beautiful outdoor area for when the weather is nice. Good HH too.
We ordered the fillet and the lasagna. Both were excellent. The service was very good. The ambience of the restaurant was also good. It was our wedding anniversary. If I had any constructive comment whatsoever, I would say that the restaurant should have done something special for our anniversary since I put that in the comments in open table. But not a big deal.
Food is great from appetizers to desert. We went for happy hour and the value is outstanding even though the choice is limited. Drinks could have been a bit more tasty.
The patio is wonderful except for the flies which is why we rated it 4 stars even though there’s not much that can be done about that.
I love sitting outside and listening to wonderful musicians. It is always fun, funky and eclectic. Servers are always personable and the food is incredible. I had the scallops with herb roasted risotto. I truly do not know how they get the risotto to have just the right amount of Parmesan flavor in the creamy sauce. So good!!!!
Wonderful staff and experience overall!
I did enjoy the dinner. And I thought it would have been a little more unique from other ratings I have seen. To be honest it was not spectacular. It was okay. Not to be conceiteded but if I am going to specnd over a $100+ for a nice meal, I want it to be great! That being said, everything was fresh and tasty. I just wouldn't spend another $100+ here again.
Great place but did not have a laid back vibe.
Always consistent in their quality of food and service.
The food was outstanding. The Botticelli bread is a must start appetizer. Decent selection of Italian wines. The service and staff were excellent. We especially enjoyed the Forest Salad, Lasagna, Spaghetti and wonderful meatballs, Scallops, and Tiramisu for desert.
We sat outside for the live music. The guy singing with an acoustic or electric guitar was like a singing impressionist (or is it impersonator). He could sound just like Dylan or Willie! I think his last name is Kincaid. All the food was great too. The bar inside is small and quaint.
Best Italian food in Austin! Amazing food and great people!
With all the changes in South Congress, let's hope Botticelli's never goes away!
Wonderful neighborhood spot with great food, drinks and impeccable service. Highly recommend.
Smart nice waiter. Happy nice attentive owner. Great happy hour specials. Appears to have some consistent clientele.
The entire experience was wonderful. We were there to celebrate after eloping, and they made it a perfect evening. The service was flawless! The food was amazing!!! We can’t wait to go back!!!
Delicious food. Great quality. We can't wait to come back and dine here again.
The great service started before we even arrived! I booked a table for 6 for dinner on Friday afternoon and at 5:00 pm I called and needed to increase the number in our party to 8. Because the restaurant is small, they weren’t sure they could accommodate my request but they would see what they could work out. By 6:00 pm they called me back and let me know that they had made it happen for our party of 8! The food was excellent and the service was fantastic!
Delicious meal, great drinks, outstanding service and charming ambience for a totally wonderful dining experience. Can’t wait to dine there again!
We had a great dinner - party of 6! Awesome service, delicious food!! Everyone who got the lasagna couldn’t stop talking about it. Great wine selection, too!
The restaurant opened on time, the kitchen staff was ready to go, the wine was chilled, and the server was present right at opening! The food was delicious and fresh and we were quite pleased with the entire experience.
