Bottega Ratings and Reviews
We were offered a table inside or in the outdoor area. As a group of 6 they had two tables waiting for us. The bread kept coming (we had two children who gobbled away at it), very good service in general. The sword fish was cooked well, and the spinach risotto was outstanding. The special of green and white homemade linguini with seafood was tasty, well prepared and fresh. The children had their food prepared exactly as they wished with no difficulty, and when one of our party asked for something not on the menu, gnocci marinara, they were happy to comply. The teramiso for dessert was light and delicious. A nice family friendly easy late afternoon dinner.
We had a delightful mid-week dinner. The atmosphere was lovely and the food delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Our waiter was very accommodating with our special requests. Portions were appropriately sized and well seasoned. The noise level was not intrusive. We look forward to a return visit in the near future.
Entree was excellent. Appetizer was ok. Dessert was disappointing. Lemon tart was too sweet . Wine by the glass overpriced.and a request for a wine list was refused. Accordingly I give waitservicev low marks. Noise level was loud and intrusive.
It's a neighborhood restaurant that's ok for an occasional meal in a large, comfortable dining room since entrees are very good to excellent .
Excellent food and we were immediately seated at our reservation time. I had to change the reservation 3 or 4 times and each time the restaurant was accommodating
Food selection was authentic and delicious. I will absolutely return here when business brings me back to this area of New York.
Was taking the family out for dinner including my 88 year old grandmother. The staff were accommodating towards that and staff were quite friendly. I was extremely disappointed to learn the menu of OpenTable was not the actual menu and only about half the items listed on the OpenTable menu were actually part of the menu. Had it not been a hassle to move my grandma, I would have left for a different restaurant. The food twas nothing special and the portions were very small for the type of restaurant and price per dish. Staff said would accommodate however when trying to substitute spinach, a very inexpensive item we were told they would not accommodate. Our waiter was wonderful however, and tried to work with us.
First time dining here. Warmly welcomed and seated promptly. Tables are comfortably spaced. Service was prompt and attentive. Our group enjoyed several appetizers--fried calamari, bruschetta and tomato and mozzarella. Lentil soup was hearty and not salty. Veal Milanese was a standout main dish. The bread basket is mediocre and the accompanying red dipping sauce thin and tasteless. The desserts were standard good tiramisu and tartuffo. Prices were reasonable. Definitely worth revisiting when in the neighborhood.
