   We were looking forward to eating at this restaurant as it gets good ratings and was recommended by other people. Restaurant was not overly crowded, but was very loud. Unfortunately, the service was unexpectedly sub-par. We felt like we were bothering them by being there. When asking for recommendations for entrées and drinks, we didn’t get much feedback and heard from our server “whatever you like”, no effort to offer suggestions, so we didn’t order drinks. It felt like there were not a lot of options to add proteins. Salads were pretty good, main dishes were not great. They got one of our orders wrong and it had to be re-done. No apology, not taken off the bill, and no one offered a complimentary coffee or dessert to recognize the error. We skipped dessert and got something down the road, which we enjoyed much better than anything we had at Bottega. Total bummer!

   Entrées were very good. Appetizers were disappointing. Noise level was excruciating.

   Fantastic overall, service was good and everything absolutely delicious. Our entrees took longer than expected to come out delaying our departure to a winery appointment. Not a factor, however, in planning a future return visit. Benissimo!

   This dinner was to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. We had reservations but arrived 45 minutes early and were able to be seated right away. Our server, Joey, was very helpful and answered our questions. Our cocktails were tres lychee martini and Negroni royale. We had the octopus appetizer, lamb ragu and beef cheek risotto for entrees and zeppole for dessert. Everything was delicious! We’ve enjoyed this restaurant several times before and will continue in the future.

   Calamari was delicious. The Squid ink condiment for dipping was unique and memorable.

   So very disappointed. Had gone in 2016 and it was wonderful. This visit: Both items were over salted - big time - the arugula salad and the chicken dish too. The meatballs are 3 for $20. They are tiny and not great. So many other good places. Don’t waste your time or money.

   I had very high expectations for Bottega. Overall, everything went beyond them. My partner and I chose to go here for an anniversary dinner and Bottega went out of their way to make it special, from a lovely card to a complimentary plate of little pastries reading, “Buon Anniversario!” in chocolate syrup. Complimentary bread was crusty and fresh, paired with a garlic parmesan spread. The appetizers we chose were phenomenal—a balanced bruschetta trio and perfectly cooked calamari with a charred meyer lemon and calabrian chili. I chose the Bear Flag Revolt to drink because the pomegranate bear sounded adorable, and it was! It was also a well balanced cocktail once the bear started to melt a bit. For our main, we shared the raviolo and gnocchi. Delicious but quite rich, we should have chose a lighter accompaniment with them. Lastly, the dessert knocked everything out of the park. In addition to the complimentary pastry plate, we ordered their tiramisu and the chocolate lava cake with creme anglaise and candied hazelnuts with a scoop of vanilla gelato. I would say that the dessert took a long time, but they did come out very fresh and were so, so good. The atmosphere was a bit too loud for my liking, but Bottega cannot help the wine drunk crowd here. Would definitely love to come back!

    Great restaurant. My wife was excited they had gluten free pasta and other choices for her. Service and food was excellent.
