Bottega Napa Valley
Tuesday–Sunday, 11:30 am–2:30 pm
Daily, 5:30 pm–9:30 pm
Bottega never disappoints from the time we walked in and were seated to the moment we left - outstanding service, fantastic and amazingly delicious food and wine and decadent dessert.
Our wait staff person was an absolute gem!
Cannot wait until we return!
Outstanding experience at Bottega. It was my daughter’s 21st birthday and the restaurant and our Waitress, Olivia, made special touches to recognize her and make her feel special. The food was second to none.
Excellent service and hospitality. The food was delicious
The food was amazing. The gnocchi were literally like little pillows of yum.
It was when I asked the waitress a question about the menu that I had an issue. When I asked if something on the menu was spicy her answer was, “I lived in Southeast Asia. Nothing’s really spicy to me.” Not quite an answer.... After my second question between Brussels sprouts and artichokes she answered then said, gotta go. Turned and walked away. The artichokes were delicious, as was the rest of the food. But such as off attitude.
The hostess was beautiful and sweet. The manager stopped by a few times to check on us.
We have been there before and will for sure go back. I’ll just take a peek at whose section we sit in next time...
This was the first horrible experience & sadly probably our last experience at Bottega. My husband & I have always enjoyed many meals here in the past so I thought it would be perfect for my husband & our best friends birthdays for lunch. The food as usual was good but the service was the worst we’ve ever experienced there. I’m talking over 15 min for cocktails that we ordered before our starters but I guess they would have gotten to us faster if the order was remembered to be put in & a menu that was given to one of the birthday guest that was on the floor from a previous party. It was noticeable that things weren’t going well but sadly the only one that seemed to notice it was the servers assistant because our server, the manager & the GM were too busy paying attention to the two tables on both sides of us, I guess maybe we were just in their blind spot. Super disappointed with this experience & again it’s too bad because the food is good.
Large group, everyone really enjoyed the meal and will certainly return.
It was the first time my daughter and her boyfriend visited and said it was wonderful. They had a great time and the food was so good.
Every time is vacation in Napa we eat at Bottega. Always wonderful. Great food.
I have been wanting to eat at Bottega for a while and had the opportunity to do so during a recent trip to the valley.
The meal was outstanding, the wait staff super friendly, the setting relaxed and inviting and found the price reasonable.
I wish I lived closer so I could go on a regular basis.
Great Bottega experience! Food was wonderful. Service was great. Ambiance was perfect. Recommend the spaghetti and bolognese- absolutely delicious!
Friend’s 25th Anniversary
Food was excellent. Bartender Steve (?) was very nice
Visiting from Fort Worth. So amazing!
Food and atmosphere was incredible!
Hope to come back!
Amazing as always!
Our lunch was delicious. Our waiter, Ed, is the best. We have been going to Bottega restaurant for years and we always ask for our waiter Ed to serve us. He is extremely knowledgeable about food and about the menu and is always is good about explaining how the food is prepared and what the ingredients are.
Bottega is consistently an excellent dining experience. The atmosphere is very "wine-country" with comfortable seating and well spaced tables (both inside and patio). The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and with a wide selection to choose from. The staff is wonderful: attentive, helpful, friendly, and courteous. Our server had some terrific suggestions when we had difficulty with our selections and the sommelier was excellent with his help, as well. We highly recommend Bottega!
Service was very very slow. When things weren’t going well server engaged in one way communication and left table abruptly. Left us feeling unheard. Food was beautifully presented though once it arrived.
All the components for a great dining experience: knowledgeable, friendly waiter, delicious food (loved the cauliflower), lovely wine (David Arthur 2014 Sangiovese) , and a great night on the patio!
Excellent food and outstanding cocktails! My friends and I went for a birthday, and Bottega is a great place for a special occasion. Wait staff was funny and warm. Great place!
My wife and I stayed in Napa valley for a vacation and this place came highly recommended. The bread and olive oil were great. I would highly recommend the polenta appetizer to anyone, the mushrooms were perfection. Our ravioli was a small portion but delicious and well-presented. Our dessert was a chocolate mousse that was rich and perfectly moist. Highly recommend and want to go back someday, despite living across the country.
Great dinner! Ambiance was amazing, our server Omar was really attentive and professional I give him kudos! 🙌🏼
Absolutely incredible food! This place will be Michelin Star soon! Service food ambiance all fantastic!!!!
Wonderful service, food and atmosphere!
Dinner was delish. I got the quail and sweet sausage, my husband got the ravoili. Zeppolis for dessert were awesome. Perfect ending to our weekend in Napa wine country
Wonderful experience while enjoying wine country! Can’t wait to come back...
Great food and staff
Nice night out, shared an amazing bottle of 2016 ZD Founder's Reserve Pinot Noir that was phenomenal! Service and were absolutely fantastic. Wonderful evening! Look forward to next time!
Really happy with appetizers. Sprouts, polenta especially. We had a very attentive wait staff! Nice wine list. Love the calebrese chocked diavolo
Awesome, as usual
The food was fantastic and the service impeccable.
Booked for a special occasion and we were seated right away in a quieter part of the restaurant (that we requested) and had a special hand written note (nice touch) Service was impeccable and food Amazing!! Owner and Chef Michael Chiarello manages to blend locally grown ingredients with old world recipes (and creations) dishes to deliver contemporary wonders and it doesn’t break the bank. This is a must when in the Wine Country or well worth the drive from SF or beyond. Can’t wait to go back.
My husband and I had a lovely evening at Bottega while on a short vacation. We will return next time we are in wine country. Our food server was very attentive and helpful. He made our evening memorable. The food by far is why we will return. Absolutely exceptional!
We celebrated moving to Napa by dining here - love that we can sit outside and enjoy a breeze while eating the most delicious concoctions by Chef! Octopus appetizer, great vino, Bolognese pasta, Fruitti de Mare...and that BREAD! We will be regulars. 😊
We had made a reservation on open table 4 months out for our last night in the valley. We got a phone call 24 hours prior that they had to cancel bc they had a buy out of the restaurant. We were unable to reschedule bc it was for our last night. We were very disappointed bc I am sure the buy out had been in place for quite awhile. We’ve been there numerous times but this left a sour taste.
Food was really over salted, maybe an off-day for the chef. I’ve been to Botega several times and seems as though the food and service has been gradually declining since the first. Will give it another shot in the future, keeping my fingers crossed.
we have reservation for 9:15pm ( we got there early ), and did not get sitted around 9:25pm, I know that Bottega is always busy, I had been there many times, but i did spot empty tables starting at 9:00pm, and the 3 tables next to us were empty and all of them is for 2 ppl. could have sitted us earlier or at least on time.
Food was amazing, beyond that - the experience sucked. We waited about 15 minutes after our reservation time to be seated and when we finally were, we were greeted by the Sommelier 10 minutes after being seated - not our server. Wine was presented and served before we ever saw Murph. Because we had our menus open he assumed we needed more time - kept saying just take your time I’ll be back - I didn’t need time I wanted suggestions, or an explanation of the menu - portion sizes, suggestions for courses. Bread came with our appetizers. Pastas (the raviolo was beyond rich and amazing) were out shortly after, and he never would have known because he didn’t check on us. The table next to us got great service, he spent the entire time we dined talking to them. We skipped dessert - even though the doughnuts looked awesome - because Murph again said just take you time enjoy the wine instead and walked away. Raymond the busser was great, and he spent much more time with us than our server. I left a crappy tip knowing he would have to tip out Raymond, and he didn’t need punished for Murph’s inability to provide decent service - and that’s really the only reason. If I had cash I would have tipped Raymond separately. I spoke with the manager after dinner and he didn’t seem to care - said that seems weird people usually come here for the Murph show.
Thank goodness the food was good - because I have never felt more ignored as a customer.
The food was fantastic and not over-priced. We thoroughly enjoyed our date there. However, I would probably bring my own wine next time.
