Our server seemed uninterested to serve my table. He was chit chatty with other tables but not ours. He came back once the entire meal. Had to wait long just to order dessert... we alost didn't because we were so turned off.

We ate at Bottega Louis for Thanksgiving dinner. This was our 2nd year in a row. It was fabulous! The food was delicious, the service was amazing, and the atmosphere was the best! My daughter enjoyed having her favorite Pizza while we had a great traditional Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you, Bottega Louis, for a great family gathering!

This place was amazing, and the food served embodied succulent flavors that were simply perfect to the pallete. Can't go without saying that our waiter (Allan) was a complete gentleman, and is great at what he does!!

The server took forever to take our drink orders and food orders. We didn't get our first drink until 20 minutes after sitting down. The complimentary bread got to the table 15 minutes after we sat down and was rock hard and cold. We received our food completely out of order and about 45 minutes after we initially sat down. We ordered Portabella fries, a pizza, and the pork chop. The pizza came first, then the pork chop 15 minutes later, then we had to remind a completely different server that we never received the Portabella fries. Our original server came back and said she's going to go check on them. 5 minutes later she brought them out. This is well after we've already stuffed our face with the entrees, so we were already full. They are delicious, so we ate as many as we could handle. We think the server completely forgot to put in the order for these because everyone else who ordered them would get them before the rest of their meal as an appetizer and in less than 5 minutes of ordering. Our entire dinner took about 2 hours because the service was so slow, and not because we were enjoying the ambiance. We were extremely disappointed with her service. She also forgot to remind us that if we buy macaroons at the table, then we get different qty options than at the bakery. I don't like to complain to managers about service because I like to give people the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps she was just having a bad night. However, for the price we paid for dinner the service was atrocious and we expected better. This was our 2nd time there and the 1st time was a delight. It's unfortunate this time was so disappointing as we probably will never return because of it.

Gigi was our server and couldn't have been more on it. I love Bottega on any given day, Thanksgiving was no different. Menu was fantastic! I got the lobster have soup and this gorgeous guy from the kitchen I guess, poured it for me table side! Quite the special experience! Service all around is exceptional!

Not being turkey fans, we had Caprese salad, short ribs, smoked ham, pumpkin pie, and fruit tart. Everything was great. The short ribs melted in my mouth. Service was indeed outstanding. Keep in mind that sound echoes in here, so it does get loud. We were seated by the window, which cut down considerably on the noise.

We were running late, so we phoned to make sure that we could still get a table after our reserved time. They said it would be no problem, as long as we got there before midnight. We made it with a few minutes to spare, but the hostess told us she couldn't seat us. After a while of back and forth, she asked the manager and he okayed it. We were rushed and given limited menu options because of the fact that they were already starting to close for the night. Granted, I do understand that at the end of the night, everyone wants to go home, but then tell us on the phone that you won't be able to accommodate us instead of having us rush there to be told we could not be seated. Overall, the food was decent, overpriced, and just ok.

I came here for the first time on V Day, lucky enough I made reservations way ahead of time and was seated in 5 mins as opposed to the 2.45 minute wait! It was a mad house with a sea of people standing around and waiting, they also have a row of small 2 table chairs that was reminscent of a busy NYC restaurant where people didn't mind hearing in on each other's conversations as they sat literally close enough to share salt shakers. Nonetheless, the ambiance was definitely energetic and almost too loud most of the time. But if you're looking for a night out with good food and even better dessert (macarons and beignets) coupled with ambience and you feel like connecting to all of downtown LAs hip new residents, then this is the place for you!

We were there on valentines,but because our reservation we avoided the long wait.Keep in mind they only do reservations on special occasions.Service was great.We started with drinks,the beer and wine selection is solid. We ordered a pizza and some small plates to share, it was all delicious and we had plenty to eat.We even went for the Creme brûlée,which was perfect!

In all fairness, it was Valentine's Day so the restaurant was VERY busy. However, the design of the establishment, though grande, it is not helpful when there are so many people. The noise level was deafening, to the point my husband had to come and sit beside me just so we could talk over our dinner. There were so many people lined up at the host/ess station that we had to wade our way through just to check in (since we had our reservation). During our meal, we felt rushed. Which was very dissapointing since we laid down $150 for our meal and beverages! It appeared they were overbooked, or perhaps just not willing to turn away those without reservations. Either way, the food was outstanding and we would try this restaurant again.

Portobello fries is a must-try! Cod entree is tasty and filling. Butterscotch budino is by far the best dessert on their menu. Please don't forget to take some french macaroons home with you! :)

We were there during our vacation during Thanksgiven evening.
If anything could go wrong, that was THE day
- wine wasn't the year that they have in a menu
- on our question what is the best to order for our Thanksgiven evening meal, got answer - "Pizza"
- they went out of bread (one of their main feature) and they brought old brochetta bread instead
- meat wasn’t cook the way suppose to
- got free desert and sides, just because waitress forgot what we have ordered
We have had so high expectations but it was just a bummer, our friend from LA felt sorry that he recommended this restaurant.

This was some of the best food that we had in the LA area. The restaurant was spotless and the building is a great downtown space. The waitress gave recommendations which I find to be a wonderful help. We almost left when we walked in due to the noise though. IT WAS SO LOUD!!!!! I could hardly hear my parents or my husband sitting right beside me. Food was out of this world. I love my short ribs and the hubs loved the pork chop. Overall, awesome food but be prepared for the noise!

The food was amazing and our waitress was a gem. They were all sold out of macarons, though. But it was Valentine's Day, so I guess that's to be expected. Thanks for the reservation, Open Table! We couldn't have gotten in, otherwise. They sat us immediately.

Bottega Louie never disappoints! Went early on Valentine's Day and it was great that they took reservations on this one night (wish they did all the time). Only quibble was I thought the special Lamb Chops weren't quite as good as everything else and much higher in price than most everything else on the menu. I know Lamb is expensive right now, but only two chops for $38 seemed high. Everything else was just great though!

Occupying a smartly remodeled former Brooks Brothers store, the first and enduring impression of Bottega Louie is of a happening Manhattan restaurant/bakery. It's brimming with energy, sophistication and attractive people; the perfect eatery in a reinvented downtown. The large area is loud, therefore best suited for couples and the easy-of-hearing. The service remains attentive and impressive, but not overbearing. While satisfying anyone looking for a good pizza or spaghetti and meatballs, the fare is mostly upscale Italian. One of our favorite dishes is mussels. Plus, thumbs-up on their lasagna and thin-crusted pizzas. Nearby parking is available; $4-$6, varies by time. For quick seating, arrive earlier or later than popular dining time.

We went to this place on Valentine's Day, and I was pretty excited to bring my husband here for the first time. I've been telling him about their macarons for a year. But since it's Valentine's Day, they only had 3-4 kinds of macarons. I got disappointed on the selections they had at that time. I wish they could have kept their in demand flavors during those times.

But other than that, my husband was really amazed on how great their pork chop is cooked. He said that he has never tasted pork chop as good as that. Knowing that he's a chef, It's hard to please him.

This place is amazing. They don't take reservations and on the weekends you could be waiting hours for a table. I'm glad I live just down the street, so I can pop in for a casual early Sunday brunch or Tuesday dinner. The food is consistently incredible and the pastries are to die for. This is the one truly "nice" place in Downtown LA.

I'm quickly becoming a fan of downtown dining -- at Bottega Louis the food is stellar, service is great, and it has the vibe of a New York or London hot spot (but much more reasonably priced). The only downside of this very cool spot is that it is popular and very loud -- no sound-proofing, lots of tile, and a bit tough to talk.

Love this place! Had an amazing Valentine's Day dinner with friends and my boyfriend. Great food, great ambience, great service, great everything. They even surprised me with the last raspberry macaroon cake in celebration of my birthday. I would probably be here daily if I lived closer. Thanks to all the amazing staff at Bottega for creating such an A++++ restaurant.
