Boston Chops Ratings and Reviews
We had a great meal here. Visiting from out of state and looking for a nice restaurant for excellent steak. Everything was cooked perfectly and the food was delicious. The service was a bit slow. We were very squished next to other tables so we spent a lot of our time listening to others conversations. We also requested to take our leftovers home and it was never brought back out to us. For the price we paid I would of expected some better service and attention and better seating especially since we had a reservation. Would recommend based on food rating. Probably better to go as a group rather than a date night.
Tried the 14 oz dry-aged bone in Sirloin Steak - was very flavorful, juicy, and well-marbled. We couldn’t resist starting with the steak tartar and another special, Lobster Ravioli. Highly recommend all 3! Try to save room for the Bourbon Milkshake and yes it’s topped with an ice cream sandwich.
Went for Valentine's Day and had a fantastic experience. This place is quality, and will confidently (and capably!) prepare your steak blue if you want it. Our server was super fun and helpful without hovering, and made sure we had a great time. I strongly recommend Boston Chops.
Boston Chops doesn't disappoint! My husband and I go there lots for dinner, sit at the bar and have great meals. We also attend the wine dinners occasionally and thoroughly enjoy the pairings the chef and wine specialist come up with.
I was there Sunday for brunch for the first time and it was amazing!!
I would totally recommend Boston Chops!
I found the room to be quite plush and comfortable. The service was very attentive but unhurried. The salads are well prepared and of moderate size, considerably smaller than most fancy steakhouse chains. I had an aged bone-in strip steak medium rare that was cooked perfectly. The valet parking was also very easy and fast.
Went here for my sister birthday dinner with some girlfriends and it was simply great! From the time we walked in and by the end of dinner, service was awesome from beginning to end. Food was so good, the ambiance was just right. Dim lights and very intimate. Noise level was moderate, not too loud or quiet. My expectation was fulfilled! I recommend for people to try it out!
We had to make a last-minute choice on a Work dinner, and someone mentioned Boston Chops. Food was good, and we had a large group. Service was spectacular. Leah was fantastic...she was warm, attentive & knew her wine.
Next time I'm in BOS, will definitely be back.
Our waitress was awesome - she made great recommendations. Onion rings and brussel sprouts were delish! Not overly impressed with my prime bone-in ribeye, it was just ok. Our party also got Filet Mignon and sirloin. Seems a bit pricey for the quality. I had the best dirty martini there!
A memorable experience. Staff were knowledgeable and gracious professionals who went out of their way to make an occasion special. We knew the steak would be outstanding but so was everything else...cocktails, popovers, poutine potato, sticky toffee pudding: divine!
We have dined at Boston Chops a number of times and find that it never disappoints. The service, food, and ambiance are always of the highest level. On this trip, we tried dessert for the first time - the Boston Cream Cake Pops - and I am now kicking myself for taking so long to dive in. In all seriousness, this may be my most favorite dessert of all time. It's a large portion for the price - definitely big enough to share - and not overly sweet. Overall, another truly superb meal.
Definitely a quality steak house. There were some issues with the way my steak was cooked but it was handled so well by the staff that it wasn’t even a blip on the radar. The manager, Dave went way above and beyond the call of duty to make things more than right. The apps, salads entrees, all top quality and expertly served by our waiter Jose’. This was our second time here and we’ll definitely be back.
My wife and I went for our anniversary dinner and the service was great, our needs were met and the food was amazing. After our meal we had dessert with the plates decorated with the words "happy anniversary". Also some champagne was provided for us for the fact it was our anniversary. We plan on going back in the near future.
Food and cocktails were very good, though, frankly, not exceptional for the price. I was disappointed that despite being asked if we were celebrating a special occasion when I made reservations- we were; it was my 65th birthday- the restaurant chose not to acknowledge that.
Authentic steakhouse which fits the neighborhood perfectly! In a land of small plates known as the South End, Boston Chips is a welcome presence for a full plate meal and upscale experience. Sometimes a man needs a good steak and stiff cocktail to come back to center from a long week at work. Boston Chops delivered that and more during my visit. I will definitely be coming back!
