Boston Chops Ratings and Reviews
My partner and I had a great experience at Boston Chops! We were using a Gilt City deal and I had indicated on our OpenTable reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. The food was amazing! We ordered off the fixed Gilt City brunch menu and got the pecan sticky buns, the brisket shank and tongue hash (aka fancy poutine), the chorizo and egg sandwich, the lobster Benedict, and the Boston cream popovers, and everything was SO GOOD. We're about to leave Boston in a month or so, but I wish we had found this place earlier! All the food was on point (especially the hash, lobster Benedict, and popovers) and they even gave us two complimentary glasses of sparkling rose to celebrate our anniversary! Great food, great service, great time!
We were quite disappointed with this place. We were travelling from overseas and wanted to experience thanksgiving dinner. So we booked with Boston Chops. When we arrived they took half an hour before giving us the table. Then they tell us they are out of Turkey. So disappointing! We ate steak with some thanksgiving sides. Which were OK.
We dined at the Restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner.
The meals were very good, but the service might have been better, but this was not the waitperson's fault.
One of our party has sodium restrictions and asked for Fr. fries with no added salt.
Unfortunately the person who served these didn't speak good enough English to rectify.
basically she ignored the problem.
Only later, half way through the meal, did our server notice that we were not served the "bottom-less" fries and immediately went to the kitchen to help.
The bigger issue is that the server who had a problem with English just blew us off, never attempting to get back to us.
It's the little things that count.
This was our second Thanksgiving spent with Boston Chops. Love the ability to order both the classic Thanksgiving dinner and from their regular menu so we could have he best of both worlds. The staff is wonderful, friendly and inviting. They don't rush you - they let you take your time from start to finish. Happy to go again next year!
First visit to Boston Chops and definitely not our last. Best high-end steakhouse I've been to in a long time. Service was outstanding and unpretentious. The food selections, particularly the specials were sublime.
Definitely not a place for children or a quick bite (perhaps at the bar); but a lively, friendly, destination event in and of itself. Perfect for special celebrations. A bit expensive; but worth the occasional splurge.
The setting is beautiful at Boston Chops. The wait staff were excellent (although they wouldn't allow for substitutions on entrees). We ordered steak & fries; both were decent but not worth the price. The ambiance was perfect but the food was only okay.
We went for our anniversary dinner and we loved the ambiance where you can dress up or business casual and be tucked away in a corner. Service was very attentive, the fresh popovers were so good, a great selection of half bottle wines for small parties, and the food was excellent. Get the famous F&W bone-in rib eye! Excellent!
The mac and cheese was by far the best part. We were not a fan of the wines we tried, we got the steak and frites, the fries were nothing special, salad was bland and steak was just OK. The steak was served extra thick and our preference is thinner as we like our steak medium well and the steak had minimal flavor.
Popovers were very good, steaks (we had bone in ribeye and a regular filet) were outstanding one of the best I've had, we got the spinach au gratin and the poutine potatoe, they were ok. The staff was excellent and we had a very enjoyable anniversary.
Great spot for anniversary . Treated well by host when we arrived and were seated next to loud mouth couple talking about how much money they made in their bonus w child. Cut the crap lady jane. So hosts gladly moved us over to Melanie’s section who treated us like gold. Great chops and sides. We’ll be back.
Amazing service from the moment we walked in! We were greeted and asked our preference between 2 different tables. Followed by a very knowledge waitstaff that made great recommendations. Perfect service throughout. Very good cocktail and wine pairings. Food was prepared perfectly and everything was delicious. Table visit by manager to ensure everything was up to our liking. Great for a special occasion, business dinner or anytime you want a REALLY good steak. Highly recommend.
My boyfriend and I went here for our 3 year anniversary! I purchased a GiltCity voucher for a three course dinner with wine pairings for each. Our meal and server was outstanding! I had the steak tartare, he got the wedge salad, we shared the 24oz porterhouse which came with fingerling potatoes, and broccolini. We also ended up getting the pork belly Mac and cheese which was phenomenal and brussel sprouts. The wine pairings with each were so good. I highly suggest getting the GiltCity voucher and going or just go and try it! We loved it and we will be back for sure!
