About Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine - Winter Park
Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine is a family owned business, established in 2005, that offers variety of authentic Turkish food from many regions of Turkey. Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine adapted its name from one of the oldest cities in the world, Istanbul, which was once known as the Constantinople in the early 13th century. The name “Bosphorous” taken from the strait that lies in the center of Istanbul connecting the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara, Europe to Asia. The decor of this eatery is kept to minimum to draw the attention to the food. The intent was to create a modernized, warm authentic atmosphere by taking the old elements of Istanbul and combining it with some modern influences to create a truly unique experience.

Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine - Winter Park Ratings and Reviews
The temperature inside the restaurant is ALWAYS entirely too cold. It is so cold that the rice dinner dishes disappointingly become all too cold before need be.
It forces me to always choose a Turkish hot tea when I would prefer a glass of wine. I have not even been able to sample the wine list which would increase your check average. I would frequent more as I live right in town, but the ambient temperature is always a contention when deciding to dine there
We like this restaurant. We have eaten here a few other times and it has always been good.
The problem we had was with our waiter.
I had a coupon for two dinners with Wine, we went with another single lady but the waiter would not give us two checks. He also took my coupon from me when we sat down before I really had a chance to read it.
He told us that we could order any dinner we wanted except the combo platter.
When the bill arrived he charged us extra for our dinners and extra for our wine.
Even the Manager could not make this better. We will not be back.
We’ve dined at this restaurant many times over the years and find consistency in the quality of the food and service. We decided to have a lunch wedding anniversary celebration. We were seated at one of our favorite tables, were handed an Anniversary congratulations card along with our choice of a free dessert. Mary was an excellent server, everything about our dining experience was excellent.
Great food, service and presentation. We always enjoy the Turkish wine with our meal. The plates are not only delicious but healthy and beautiful the way they are artistically presented. The stuffed cabbage rolls are one of my favorites. Baklava cheesecake was over the top!
We have dined at Bosphorus many times and it is always a great meal. The portions are huge, the food is fresh and very tasty. I usually get the Lamb Kofte and my wife gets the Lamb Saute. Both dishes are excellent. The servers are very knowledgeable and attentive.
I love the Mediterranean food here, which is why I purchased a gift card from Costco. I'm going to guess that this restaurant regrets selling gift cards to their restaurant, because the waiter told us as soon as we sat down that would could not use our card if we ordered drinks as well. We had learned that the last time we were there, so this time, our plan was to close out our drink tab before ordering food. Our waiter wasn't crazy about this idea and said he was going to speak to the manager. I suggested he do just that, but that I was going to proceed the way I said I would: close our drink tab and then order food and use our gift card. Not happy with this attitude, but it went well, and we gave our water a very nice tip, regardless.
Best Turkish restaurant! My sister visits from Chicago a couple times a year and insists we eat here because she thinks it's the best restaurant in Orlando and she can't find a better Turkish restaurant even in Chicago! She is trying to replicate their cabbage recipe, to no avail. Everything here is delicious! Favorites include Ezme, Baba Gannoush (and I don't even like egglplant!), Chicken Adana Kabob, Iskender Kabob, and Beef Kabob.
Bosphorous has an awesome happy hour every day 4-7pm, and you can't go wrong with menu items. I split the dinner for two with my husband, and it was enough to feed to active athletes who eat a lot and still have lunch leftovers the next day.
I'd definitely recommend trying several different dishes to split with friends so you can sample all of their awesome flavors!
We were surprisingly surprised with this new found place in our 2nd home city. Great food , authentic Turkish. We choose to have our anniversary dinner here, and wasn't disappointed. My wife was specially happy as they serve 'halal' meat , which was very important and I am sure for majority of Muslims. Manager of the shift ( unfortunately forgot the name) who was very nice to come around few times to inquire about our dinner , and also offered Baklava for our anniversary desert, which he ran to deliver to us on our way to the car , as we decided not to wait as restaurant got busy. I wish service would have been little better, but then they all were very busy. Over all we had a very good impression of this place , and we would recommend definitely ,as well as we will be back ourself.
Food is delicious!! Veggies come with the entrees and they are so yummy. Even my husband who is not a huge veggies fan talks about them. Even you are not into veggies everything else is amazing!
You have to try it. We live in PAlm Coast and drive to Orlando to shop and eat at Bosphorous
Although quite pricey for regular visits, Bosphorous is our go-to restaurant for special occasions and for taking out-of-town friends looking for something different. The food is amazing, highly flavorful, prepared expertly, and, according to a friend who grew up in Turkey, spot on authentic. The prices may be on the high side, but the portions are huge and many of the dishes can be shared. The staff has always been top notch and knowledgeable of the menu. The noise level is rather high when they are busy so I wouldn't recommend Bosphorous for a quiet, romantic date but the patrons are generally happy they are dining there and the atmosphere reflects it.
The food is absolutely delicious! The service and the hostess were friendly and helpful. Made the night much better! We were seated in the front of the restaurant where people congregate, so we constantly had people up against our table. We had a reservation and would have expected to have a table that should probably be reserved for a walk in, not a reservation. If it wasn't for the service, and the food being so tasty, this would not be a restaurant I would want to come back to! I need to ask for a table not in the entryway next time!
