About Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine - Orlando
Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine has been established since 2004, and has been family owned and operated ever since. Our first location (on Park Avenue in Winter Park, FL) has firmly established our presence as the premier Turkish restaurant company in Florida. This location (opened in late 2012) was our first endeavor into the South Orlando market - and we're so glad to be here! We're very excited about our newest location, and are quite proud to say that our food, wines, and high level of service are identical to our Winter Park location. Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine - Orlando Ratings and Reviews
I’ve lived in the Dr Phillips area for over 16 yrs. Restaurant Row has a lot to offer, but this is a hidden gem. I’ve seen this restaurant many times in the past few years but never ventured in until tonight. Food is fantastic and very flavorful. Management is very inviting and pleasant. We will definitely be returning. Note: Portion sizes are large and can be shared among two.
Visiting from out town we were told to try Bosphorous for "real" Turkish foods/meals. We were not disappointed!!
We attempted to order a wide variety on foods that included a combination of salads and dips, plus lamb, chicken and eggplant. All were very tasty and true to the Turkish preparations we had last year in Istanbul. The homemade bread was excellent and combination with the hummus and eggplant....and olive oil.
We ended the meal on a very high note, having the baked cheese and honey dessert. Don't miss it with a strong Turkish coffee.
This was our first time dining at this location. And while we have always enjoyed the Winter Park location, this one was even better! Our server, Rami, was wonderful!! And the Manager, Eric, went out of his way to make sure that my husband, who suffers from celiac, had a meal that was not only delicious, but safe. They staff is incredible. And, of course, the food is delicious!
The restaurant itself is very pleasant: color, decor, scents, lighting, music...all lends itself to a warm, friendly, appealing location in which to have a date night with a loved one.
Then, the noise level hits you: BOOM. This is not a place to enjoy a pleasant date night. Although, this doesn't necessarily detract from the establishment as a whole; I went there with the intention of enjoying a nice date.
That being said, one immediately feels as though you walked into a huge family kitchen where all of your little cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends are waiting for you with open arms.
Did I mention kids? There was an abundance of them having a rambunctious, good time: yelling, running around, standing in their seats...if one suffers anxiety, or tends to get easily overstimulated, this is not the place for you.
On to the staff: they are fantastic! Attentive, knowledgeable, friendly, and johnny-on-the-spot.
I ordered the lamb shank and it fell off of the bone in front of me. It was absolutely amazing and, to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of lamb.
My friend ordered the Chicken Kebabs with marinated onions, cabbage, and carrots and he kept saying how fantastic every portion was.
This is the real deal when you want good authentic Turkish food. We tried almost all the apps and devoured them quickly. The platter was outstanding with the platter sized lavash bread. Loved the spinach and feta roll ups!! Even the liver was awesome.
The mains were good but the lamb was incredible. The shank was literally fall off the bone tender and no gamey taste. Desserts were very tasty. We tried the special cheese one with pistachio gelato. It was so good. We liked the plain baklava as well. Everyone had the Turkish coffee and some had mint tea. Overall delightful dinner with excellent service. Clean and cute place.
Service was excellent and friendly. For an appetizer, we shared a lavash (speciality bread) which was very good and an Ezme ( chopped tomatoes, garlic, nuts and a few other ingredients) and it was delicious. As an entree my husband had the chicken skewers served with rice, beets, onions and carrots and I had the chicken sauté with green peppers, mushrooms, onions and rice. Both were large portions and very flavorful.
The restaurant is quite small with booths along both walls and tables in the center. There is also outside seating under cover. We enjoyed this restaurant very much.
Amazing , friendly , great service , I even try Turkish tea in Orlando without going to Turkish region !!!! What an amazing experience I like to learn about different culture cusine, also I like all Epcot's restaurants they have like French , German, Chinese and etc but Epcot need to call to this restaurant and ask them to add Bosphorus restaurant to their list !
Our server was excellent, as was all of the front of house staff. They were very careful about my sister's gluten allergy despite being a small kitchen and there were lots of great vegetarian options. The lentil soup was superb, the cucumber dip was bursting with flavor. We especially loved combining the stuffed grapes leaves with the sauteed eggplant appetizer.
Had a birthday dinner here with a friend. We sat outside- wasn't too loud with traffic noise but there were some roaming middle school students that were causing a bit of an issue. Luckily security moved them along. Food was great- had babaganoush with puffy bread as an appetizer, then the grilled meat for two. Had enough left over for lunch the next day. They have half price drinks for happy hour, which is great!
I love the Bosphorous in Winter Park and hoped this one would be as good. It was. The three of us shared an appetizer platter, had some Turkish beer and each had an entree. Mine was the veal and lamb patties. They are a little spicey, but not too. And there were leftovers to take home. One of these days, I am going to try a dessert, but I'm always too stuffed. I thought the bill was very reasonable for all we had.
