The food always meets expectations and regardless of how busy the restaurant is (and it's busy every night of the week), they manage to time the meals perfectly. This restaurant is one of my favorites in the area, however, if you are looking for a quiet dinner experience, it might be a bit too loud. Bonus point: management always makes sure special requests are satisfied.
This restaurant is small and was overbooked. The noise level did not allow conversation. It appeared that the kitchen could not keep up with the demand. One entree was served and finished before the second one was delivered to the table. We did not stay for desert, couldn’t wait to leave. That being said, the food was delicious. Might try it again, but not on a Saturday evening.
Great food as usual. Exceptional service. Waiter provided samples of suggested wines, which really helped and were delicious.
We really enjoyed the seasoning. Loved the salmon and Lavas. Everything was beyond expectations.
We are going back.
Loved Bosphorus. Excellent food and great service, we can't wait to go back!
Great food and service. Nice atmosphere, but beware: the restaurant is small and in the spring, they leave the entry doors open. Cigarette smoke from nearby sidewalk tables wafts into the restaurant, so if you have allergies, you may be uncomfortable.
If you are a foodie, this is a destination restaurant. The service was impeccable and the food divine. The atmosphere was quite charming. The copper tables, lamps and artwork added a distinctive, personal touch.
We will return on every visit to Orlando. Very impressive- from a couple of food critics!
5 stars minimum from beginning to end.
10/10 as always. Great food, great drinks, excellent service!
Great Turkish food in generous servings.
Stick with American (rather than Turkish) wine.
Good restaurant. Tabulle is Ok, size of tahine somehow a little smal. Kanufa dessert crazily good.
Every time we come we are alway please. Food is delicious and service is great. We love this place.
Our server Richie was super attentive to our table and the food was incredible! We’ll be back for sure!
We had a nice experience at Bosphorous, but I do not think the quality of the food commands the high price. We regularly dine at Turkish restaurants, love the cuisine, but I did not find the preparation to be something sufficiently unique to warrant the price. That said, I was very appreciative and pleased with the attention our family received when one in our party had to dine gluten free. The manager spoke with us and made some recommendations and suggestions about foods that she could eat and should not eat. It is clear that this place is a neighborhood gem, as it was packed with more people coming in after 9pm. Clearly a hit with the locals.
Very nice food but did not acknowledge Birthday!
My boyfriend and I tried Bosphorus for the first time on Valentine's Day. We made a reservation and was seated right away at a table that had been reserved for us, which was so nice since the restaurant was tiny but they take their reservations seriously. We ordered the lavash bread and hummus - amazing and very filling. My boyfriend got the Chicken Kofte, also amazing and with spices I have never tried before. I got lamb for the first time and really enjoyed that as well. I will say the notable dish for me was the pickled vegetables and rice pilav. So good! The only downside is this location didn't have a liquor license, but their Turkish wines are awesome.
Good food great
Always good and very consistent! Yum!
Lentil soup is like water without lentils.
Very slow service
2 spoons of unflavored hummus for $10
Ok I bueno
Fantastic food! Great selection of Turkish wine. We love visiting this restaurant every time we are in Orlando. Service was excellent. Portions are huge and great value. Don’t miss ordering the Lavos bread!!! The space is a little small, but otherwise fantastic!
Great service, great food, order the lavash bread is amazing
Food was outstanding. Babaganoush, lavas and a glass of wine - heaven. The lamb shanks are beyond delicious. Some of the best Mousaka ever. The service, however, was frankly obtrusive. I felt rushed by the server. The moment my fork left my hand our server was there to usher in next part of the meal. Our entrees arrived before we finished the appetizers so my choice was to let my food get cold as I caught my breath between courses or dive and give in to the rush. It was disappointment when all I wanted was to dine and enjoy the rich food and flavors.
Living by the reviews I took 3 meat and potatoes associates. All really enjoyed their dishes from kebabs to saute’s . The bread is fabulous and the service spot on. Will definitely return when back in Orlando.
Love Love coming here -- the food is always delicious, the portions are large, and the service always great!
Food was excellent. Our water, Ali, was very helpful and suggested some food and drinks for us that were spot on, and he was quick with our food.
The white bean salad was disappointing. I thought there would be more greens and the flavor was not appealing.
My husband and I were there recently for his birthday. We both like Turkish food and the food here is quite good. Staff is very friendly and attentive. They made my husband feel special for his birthday. We will be going back(this was not our first visit). Great job!
Wonderful food. Wish they would make smaller bread and/or not charge for it with appetizers
Our server was fantastic! Will definitely recommend this restaurant
Bosphorus is a great restaurant with great-tasting authentic Turkish food. The food is made from scratch and contains no MSG (monosodium glutamate), which keeps me coming back. Their food and restaurant decor remind me of the 31 exceptional days that I spent in Turkey a few years back. Our waiter at Bosphorus Orlando was super! Love the Mediterranean Sea Bass, the lavash, Iskender, and Special Beyti. They deserve kudos, as does their whole menu. Don’t forget to save room for dessert! Sadly because it was a nice day out, the wait staff left the front door standing open and the cigarette and cigar smoke came wafting in, along with the car noise and fumes, which put a damper on an otherwise great business meal. But in spite of that, I will definitely go back again.
We don’t eat gluten or dairy, and they were so helpful! The food was amazing, and our server Victoria was awesome. We went back two days later and she even remembered our crazy difficult order.
good food with nice atmosphere. service is great friendly waiters
The food and place are amazing, The service not that good. The waitress been so annoying.
I’ve lived in the Dr Phillips area for over 16 yrs. Restaurant Row has a lot to offer, but this is a hidden gem. I’ve seen this restaurant many times in the past few years but never ventured in until tonight. Food is fantastic and very flavorful. Management is very inviting and pleasant. We will definitely be returning. Note: Portion sizes are large and can be shared among two.
Excellent experience! Was in Orlando for one night, wanted to avoid the big chains. Easy to get a table at 7p on a Thursday, great service and everything we ordered was delicious. Go with the server recommendations!
Always consistent with amazing food quality and generous portions. The hand picked Turkish wines are amazing! One of the "gems" in our area!
This is our "go to" restaurant when in Orlando. Good is fresh, delicious , authentic and generous portions. Service is friendly and attentive. Love this place!
I hadn't had a chance to return to Bosphorous for sometime; however another great visit. Thank you to our server Irina who was very attentive and helpful explaining the menu to my guest who had never dined here before. Looking forward to coming back soon!
Visiting from out town we were told to try Bosphorous for "real" Turkish foods/meals. We were not disappointed!!
We attempted to order a wide variety on foods that included a combination of salads and dips, plus lamb, chicken and eggplant. All were very tasty and true to the Turkish preparations we had last year in Istanbul. The homemade bread was excellent and combination with the hummus and eggplant....and olive oil.
We ended the meal on a very high note, having the baked cheese and honey dessert. Don't miss it with a strong Turkish coffee.
This was our first time dining at this location. And while we have always enjoyed the Winter Park location, this one was even better! Our server, Rami, was wonderful!! And the Manager, Eric, went out of his way to make sure that my husband, who suffers from celiac, had a meal that was not only delicious, but safe. They staff is incredible. And, of course, the food is delicious!
