BOSK at Shangri-La Hotel Toronto Ratings and Reviews
I always love coming here. They have the best servers and the food never disappoints. They have a patio as well which they heat in the winter sometimes. Its right by The Four Seasons for Performing Arts, so its great for pre/post show meal or drinks. The hotel is beautiful and the spa is one of the best in Toronto, so you can make a whole staycation in this one hotel. Can't say enough - this spot is great :)
Bosk never disappoints, fresh ingredients, molecular touches, artistic presentation in vibrant surroundings.
I was a regular for 3 years, then left Canada, returned and I am still remembered by staff and management. Looking for ward to my next visit to Toronto.
Anniversary dinner, very sweet gesture at the end where they brought out a perfect dessert with happy anniversary on it! Service was excellent, the hostess greeted us very well and wished us a happy anniversary as soon as she seated us and our server Jean Michel was super friendly and attentive. Very good food and ambiance! They made us feel very special! Can't wait to come back here!! Excellent experience.
The staff was very attentive and helpful. The menu is varied to meet many likes. While not mentioned on the menu, we were offered wine pairings for our meal, pricing dictated by tasting sizes and wallet.... we found this very helpful and enjoyable. The food was excellently prepared and presented.
Had a wonderful dinner there on August 3. Menu selection was very good and the special price for 3 and 4 courses was a nice touch. All items are listed on 1 menu which was easy to read and decide. Food was very well presented and the servings were just right.
Definitely would return
My three girlfriends and I had a wonderful experience dining at BOSK for Summerlicious. Our server took great care to describe all of the options on the menu while including a few recommendations of his own. He was attentive and enthusiastic throughout. The food far exceeded our expectations, especially for a Summerlicious menu! We've come to expect service and/or quality to suffer during this time of the year and didn't feel any of that. We were not pushed to leave, and felt comfortable chatting long after our dinner service was done. Our waiter even came to refill water for several hours after our dessert had been served. A truly memorable experience and a world class hotel.
One of my favourite restaurant in Toronto, however, this time with our Summerlicious menu, I was a bit disappointed on the chicken and the mushroom dish.
The chicken should be presented like a piece of chicken, instead the meat was pressed into a rectangular shape. I know the Chef tried to be creative but it didn't worked for me. Mushroom was overly salty.
The presentation was definitely creative, with great service as usual.
My friend and I should have order the Tuna instead.
Thank you Chef for trying.
I ordered a tea and our server forgot to bring it over. She was really nice though and took it off the bill. I came here for summerlicious and ordered off the $28 lunch menu. My chicken was a bit overdone, the duck egg pasta could have had bits of torn meat, maybe some duck confit in it to make it more than just a regular pasta. The value was okay. The dessert was nice- a flourless chocolate biscuit. Ambiance was very nice, we sat on the patio and being higher up than ground level made it less exposed to passersby and more intimate. Would come back to try out their regular menu.
Summerlicious lunch for $28 was a good deal. Food was delicious and nicely plated. It was like a piece of art. The only drawback from eating at a fancy restaurant like Bosk is that the main barely contains any carbs and thereby does not fill you up. However this was compensated by the fact that they kept asking if we wanted more bread and quickly filled up as soon as we ran out of bread. Staff was extremely nice and friendly and did not let us wait to refill our water glasses and they took the time to explain the menu to us. Definitely a restaurant I would recommend!
