BOSK at Shangri-La Hotel, Toronto

Vegan dishes were very average. Poor effort from the back of the house. When you pay $28 for Phad Thai, you would think it’s going to be something special. All vegan dishes were really underwhelming.

Great service. The ambiance could use a little jazzing up though.

My family and I have been to Bosk multiple times and it’s always a great experience. The ambiance is incredibly nice.

The food and service were fabulous. The setting is very pleasant, although it gets a bit loud once the restaurant fills up. Unfortunately, the pricing is over-the-top. I do not expect fabulous food + service for bargain prices, but I have often had both fabulous food and fabulous service for more reasonable pricing.

We found big plastic piece from the food, salad. Garnish on the dessert was not clean. Decoration on the table had stain, might be from food sauce. Butter plate was plenty of water stain.

Server was kind but when we got the change after paying with cash, there were water drops among the changed bills.

I was quite surprised about the quality of the restaurant. It was much lower than I expected.

They offered free meal for one person though.

Celebrated our anniversary here. The food was good and the ambience of the restaurant was perfect for a special date. Very good service overall.

My wife wanted to try the duck offered during Winterlicious but I did not like the other options so I had planned to get something from the regular menu but they said they were only serving the fix priced menu. The table next to ours was getting a completely different menu for some reason. The food was very bland, something you can easily make yourself at home. I was very disappointed.

We were there for winterlicious lunch. Service was amazing the staff are very attentive. The ambiance was very warm and welcoming and not too crowded. The food was delicious and attention to detail in each dish was perfect. Portion sizes were just right as well. We will definitely be back.

BOSK was very welcoming and accommodating during our lunch reservation. They were very polite with our last minute amendment to add a third person to our table and were easy to communicate with on the phone. Their winterlicious menu was well thought out and offered vegan options. The service for our table made sure we were enjoying our meals and that we were having a good time. Definitely coming back to use their beautiful patio in warmer months!

Everything was amazing!

Initially, I was very satisfied with my experience at BOSK but upon leaving the restaurant and checking the receipt, I realized they charged me for something I didn’t order. I came back to BOSK to get a refund but they didn’t seem too apologetic that they made a mistake.

We had a new year day dinner there. It was very nice.

Simply amazing. Food is excellent with good background entertainment. Everyone needs to at least try this place.

Terrific holiday lunch for our team, everyone was thrilled. Attentive service and excellent food.

Celebrated my 25th birthday. The server was kind, ambience was lovely and it felt very special being there.

Was celebrating my fiancées birthday. Put a note on the reservation requesting they put a happy birthday message on her dessert. Seems like they ignored the note. The dessert ordered had plenty of room to put the message. When we checked in I had even noted to the restaurant reception that it was my fiancées birthday as he sat us at our table. I guess they didn’t read my note.

It was the perfect place to meet up with friends around the holidays. Its location suited everyone. The staff were pleasant, professional and efficient. One of the reasons for this choice was noise level. it is easy to talk and be listened to. Food was very good too. I will definitely be back!

We all decided to order the tasting menu with wine pairing.
Lauren, our server was very entertaining sharing with us historical and fun information about each pairing which we all appreciated.
Each dish was a delight and we all had a most enjoyable evening.
Beautifully plated and the perfect amount of food per dish.
We were all happy we decided to all go with the tasting menu for our get together.

The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is spacious yet comfortable. And Lauren, our server, was fantastic from start to finish--always attentive, and referenced our comments throughout the evening (indicating she had listened to basically everything we said)! We loved this dining experience and are looking forward to coming again.

Birthday Great Time

Very attentive service, and great food.

I was disappointed. The food wasn't up to par for a restaurant of this calibre. The halibut was overcooked and dry. The sunflower risotto was disappointing as was the chicken. The staff was busy with a large table that arrived after my party and we had difficulty receiving service from our waitress.

This was our second visit to BOSK for dinner in a couple of years. Both the service and the food were still outstanding. Located in the Shangri-La Hotel, BOSK is a vibrant restaurant located just off the hotel lobby. Our server Anthony turned a difficult foodie menu into a wonderful dining experience for my wife. This was very much appreciated and made our dinner a success! I loved the duck breast entree and the pre-dinner surprise and post-dinner sorbet were wonderful touches. We capped off our dinner with an amazing Peach "Melba" dessert which we are still raving about! We highly recommend an evening at BOSK if you are in the downtown Toronto area.

there are two problems with Bosk:

1. The room is dark and extremely sterile-it would be helped by white table cloths and any effort to minimize the effect of the angular walls and square tables.

2. The piped-in music is both loud and offensive, making it difficult to carry on a conversation with your dinner companion(s).

Very pleasant business lunch spot with good service, excellent wine selection and convenient location.

My first time at the restaurant and I was not disappointed. The food was exquisite and nicely presented. The service was superior, which honestly can make or break a restaurant.

I asked for a quiet table for a business meeting and they placed us in a perfect spot. I was impressed with the next day follow up call to check on my experience. This is an operation that cares about the product they put out.

If you are looking for an upscale dining experience this is the place. I'll surely return next time I am in Toronto.
