I always go to Border Grill when I am at Licensing Expo .. my favorite place for dinner.
The food we all had was mostly very good, some items were way too salty. The special Avacato Toast special was great. And they are good at a speedy lunch if you don't have much time.
Had such a great time at brunch bottomless mimosas are great !!! Everyone was so kind and the food was amazing.
Service was horrible! The waitress did not want to help us make an entree to our liking. Then ignored me and rather just talked to my husband.
Excellent, authentic Mexican food with great service. Unfortunately it was very loud and hard to carry on normal conversations. A group of partying girls also pushed the noise level over the top. Food & service was great but the atmosphere was lacking on this occasion.
Food was excellent but they sat us outside of the restaurant in the hallway near the convention center. They were hanging banners for a convention right next to our table so we had scissor lifts and constant beeping while we ate. I would go back but only if I could sit inside.
everything was great. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa+
Wrong item was brought to the table by the waitstaff, error was corrected immediately. Service was prompt, professional, and high quality. Food was exceptional, well presented, and delivered the expected excellence of world class chefs.
It wasn't terrible. Food was a bit overpriced but the drinks were STRONG!
We came here for Mother's Day Brunch (thirs year in a row). Food is real good, and service (once the food is out) is excellent. The problem is that the way it's organized makes it for a very long wait between orders. Took over 2 hours and the excuse that they were busy but doesn't fly (you know people are coming, get ready). We are locals and love to support our town and can't wait to go back, but they do need to figure out their timing issues.
Border Grill had great service and good food (especially good vegan options), but it was overpriced for the quality and amount of food received.
After being listed as a top spot for breakfast and wanting something elevated beyond the buffet, we were excited to try. After several people that arrived after us kept getting food, we were a bit surprised that all of our small plates were delivered late and all at once. Then we noted that the dishes were cold. Like cold to touch level of cold. They were replaced and brought back a few at a time, still not really hot. And we had a bird dive bombing us inside. There were buttons high on the wall labeled “bird chase” that the staff had no idea about. A manager came by to check on us, which was nice, but despite an apology there was no extra accommodation for all the hassle. Still pricey for breakfast and certainly not at any caliber higher than a standard casino buffet. For me, a one time visit.
Had us waiting an extended time when we saw that our table was cleaned off. No restrooms anywhere close to the restaurant. UNACCEPTABLE!!
We love Top Chef and wanted to come here. Recent reviews had said the service was really poor so we were expecting long waits, etc... The service was great and the food amazing. We definitely recommend this place.
Food was great. Service was mediocre. We sat outside which was nice, but the seats were extremely uncomfortable. Waiter only came by once to ask how we were doing. I thought it was a very pricey meal for the service. We were served water without asking, which was great, but they charged us for it. It was only a dollar, but it seemed kind of ridiculous to charge $1 for non bottled water when it was an $80 meal for 2.
Food was pretty meh
It was amazing like always and great service!
The absolute most unorganized restaurant I’ve ever been to. I felt like we were in the twilightzone
Worst service ever! The waiter half fast took our order he kept trying to leave before I was done talking! I will never go back it’s a mess in there!
Disappointing. Made a reservation over a month before the date. We were seated in a windowless room attached to the restaurant. Felt like we were eating in a garage. Didn't feel like we were appreciated.
I really don't know how to rate the food, since we never received our food. We ordered out dinner and 40 minutes later we had to leave for our show. The guacamole was good.
Surprised at so many vegetarian/vegan options. Enjoyed the patio dining.
We have been to Border Grill several times. The octopus is amazing as well as all the food. Highly recommend eating here if in Vegas.
Border Grill is the closest restaurant to the Mandalay Bay convention center. We were seated ouside which was nice after being inside the convention center for days. Food was great! Service struggled a little. They seemed overwhelmed by the people brought in by the convention which surprised me. One of our appetizers never came and overheard someone at the next table being served a cocktail in a disposable cup because they were out of clean glasses.
Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant. I came here for a business meeting with a reservation at 1:15 and arrived on time at 1:10. I was not seated until 2 p.m. Why would a restaurant take reservations or over book to seat people at a first come first serve basis. The hostess was rude and made me and my business partners wait. Yes this was for a business meeting. Which made the wait even worse since we all had to be at other events after this lunch meeting. If someone makes a reservation and is on time please honor it. Or tell the hostess how a reservation works because she clearly does not understand...
The Brisket Taquitos are AMAZING!!!
The food was excellent and so was our server.
The small plates brunch is a must do every time we visit Vegas! The menu is completely different from our last trip in 2015 and it did not disappoint. Everything we tried was phenomenal, from the steak & eggs to the chicken & waffle. And we were so thrilled they still serve the guava empanadas as a house starter. Those have been a favorite from our first visit in 2013. We passed on the bottomless mimosa’s this time but they are well worth the extra cost if you want to extend your Sunday afternoon with friends and exquisite food. It is a good thing we don’t live in Las Vegas because we would be there every Sunday.
Fresh, vegan options, delicious food. Great service
The food, beverage and service was excellent! A bit too noisy to visit!
All the food is great, fresh, clean and innovative. I brought a friend - a Las Vegas local - who didn't know of the spot. She agreed that their tortilla chips are the best. Home made, crunchy and pleasing. We ordered the guacamole, octopus and a grilled fish. We were stuffed and immensely satisfied. The broth the fish was in makes me want to go back and order it again. The service is as good as the food. Whoever trains their staff knows what they are doing. The people there are real professionals who make it look so easy, but they are sensitive, gracious and attentive. This is a somewhat casual and relaxed place that is friendly to dressing down or dressing up. This is one of my Vegas favorites.
We had meetings back to back and our waiter was amazing and never rushed us. He was extremely patience and friendly. Thank you!
The food was delicious as were the cocktails. Prices were reasonable and portions were hefty. I did find the service a bit too fast which made us feel rushed. We took our time though and enjoyed the yummy meal.
This Border Grill is probably my favorite Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas. The ingredients are high quality, the dishes are fabulous, and the service is excellent. My favorite is the Kurobuta pork cheeks and the sweet tomalleys.
This restaurant exceeded our expectations. We will be back for sure!! I booked it after looking at some dining options before the Michael Jackson show. The food was delicious and service excellent. It seemed like every time we took a sip of water our glasses were topped it. I would recommend the pork entree which is a house specialty, it was incredible. I had the Shrimp and scallops which were also delicious.
My daughter, husband, and I all loved our meals.
I have eaten here several times and I have never been disappointed. I am impressed with the server's ability to provide spot on recommendations. The food has consistently been exceptional and interesting. The chicken enchiladas and Tacos Al Pastor continue to be my favorites! My only very small criticism is that sometimes the food comes to fast, when really would just enjoy sitting and enjoying the meal more.
Very pretty outdoor patio, good food, great chips and salsa and solid margheritas.
We sat in the patio area overlooking the pool area; great view. Food was great and the service was excellent
