Border Grill – Mandalay Bay

Great food and fun place for people watching.
Nothing was right, the food was terrible. The server acted like we were taking too much time from her other tables. She mentioned this twice! Not worth it at all!
Food was great, service great and perfect ambiance for my mom's bday!
I was disappointed this time with brunch. Every time we go to Vegas we make it a point to visit Border Grill. The green tamales were not available, which is one of the reasons I visit Border, they are so good. The brunch menu was changed. Not too happy with change. One must remember not to order all at once; otherwise they bring everything out at once snd food gets cold. Our previous waiter took our order and spaced it out for us. To have to order small plates in small batches and then wait for your order to be put in again, waste of time, especially if it gets busy and your waiter is taking care of other customers. Will go again, but probably not for brunch.
Complimentary chips and salsa were great. We all enjoyed our entrees as well. Sat outside under a roof so lots of pool noise and music but still able to converse ok. Great place for casual dinner & drinks.
We enjoyed our dinner at Border Grill overlooking the pool at Mandalay Bay. The food and service were excellent, especially the ceviche.
Really enjoyed eating here; have been to the downtown LA location and enjoyed this spot in Mandalay Bay so much more. Very friendly servers, engaging waiter who made spot on recommendations of the very tasty Yucatán pork and chicken enchiladas. Portion sizes were absolutely huge and would be easy to share. We also enjoyed the ceviche and margaritas. Compared to most restaurants in LV, this is a relative bargain and so delicious. We even got a tasty ice cream and warm, gooey chocolate cookie desert comped for my birthday.
Excellent service!!!!! Good food.
Pur drinks were the blood orange margarita and a tequila old fashioned. Both were yummy. Entres were Yucatan pork and Chile rellano duo. Both excellent. Fresh chocolate chip cookies with homemade vanilla ice cream. We almost died and went to heaven. The server was Justin who made our date night extra special. We will be back!
Border Grill was very accommodating to my gluten allergy. I am usually frustrated when dining, but the staff made ordering very easy. My chicken was cooked to perfection!
My only concern is that there did not seem to be any food options for people who like less than highly spicy dishes. I would want to see a few options added to the menu if I were to return. the service was excellent.
Everything was over the top outstanding. Our waitress was amazing. The all you can drink mimosas served bottle style with mix ins were fun. A must do every time we stay at Mandalay Bay/Delano
My husband and I made our annual visit to the Border Grill and as always it was very nice! We got to sit out on the deck overlooking the pool area on a beautiful evening, and enjoyed a nice drink and wonderful food.
We would recommend to others to go give it a try if they haven't yet!
Bucket list restaurant... exceeded all expectations
The food was ready great, and the service too.
Great food with unique flavors from traditional Mexican dishes and the service is always consistently good, helpful and friendly servers. Very busy atmosphere and the outside dining is a bonus.
This is probably the 5th time we have been to Border Grill for brunch but the service was by far the worst. Our waitress was not attentive. We went through most of the afternoon with empty plates on our table and no water. Our last order didn’t even get sent out until I said something after the bill was paid and she did not seem like she wanted to go to the kitchen and get it. For the price of the meal we definitely expect better especially when showing our out of town guests what was one of your favorite brunch spots. This will probably be our last visit.
Food was terrible
A/C was blowing on top of us
Service was hurried
I brought my daughter and friends here for her birthday brunch. My daughter was disappointed that the "tapas" turned into "family style" for our party size (which I completely understand the logistics of). The food this time around was less than stellar, including cold grits on the shrimp and grits for brunch and a lack of attention by anyone other than the gentleman that was diligently refilling our waters. We asked for additional empanadas - which never came. My son asked for an order of campechana, which never came. My daughter asked for a fruit parfait, which never came. I asked what the chef's pancakes were - I never received a response. although they magically appeared on my table.
What I really don't understand is why, when it was not that busy, our waitress disappeared for over 45 minutes at a time. It took over 35 minutes for her to return to our table with our check once we had signaled that we were done with our meal. I love Border Grill, but I think I will be putting a pin on coming back here until they figure out their waitstaff issues. Especially when inattention to detail and lack of service costs me over $300.00.
One of the best Mexican Restaurants...don't miss this one!
My wife and I loved the ambiance and the food was delicious. We enjoyed it so much and ate there two out of the three nights we were there. The cocktails were tasty and loved the guacamole.
Good food, but not exactly what most would expect in a ‘Mexican’ restaurant. Fairly noisy.
When we checked in with the hostess, she asked if we wanted indoor or outdoor seating. I thought it was a bit chilly for outdoors, but she assured me it was quite pleasant outdoors. Well, it was very cold and windy outdoors and all of the people dining around us agreed that it was too cold to dine outside. I enjoyed the food, our waiter was great, but I couldn’t really enjoy the evening because I was freezing.
Best brunch spot in Vegas! Food was amazing, unlimited tapas and mimosa (make your own!). Such a great spot for a large group. Will be back every time I visit Vegas!
Amazing service with delicious food. The unlimited brunch was phenomenal.
Turn the lights down and put on some upbeat music. Very lackluster experience
Food was not that good. Over priced. Charged us .50 per glass for tap water. Service was ok but took a while. Fish tacos were not great.
Decent overpriced food and drinks.
Great place!! AWESOME! Our waitress was wonderful and her recommendations were spot on!! From the drinks to the food...loved it all. Also the manager was AWESOME!! He checked on us frequently and never missed a beat. I wish all of the staff at this hotel were as attentive and wonderful as this restaurant. A+++
We were looking for a nice meal before Santana concert. We had a great time at Border Grill and would recommend to others.
Great small plate selections. Our server Tiffany was exceptional. Explained the format, different items on the menu and when we identified ourselves as locals, she reminded us that we get a 15% discount. Prosecco poured was very good. She kept our glasses topped off. Thank you for a good dining brunch experience.
Love the new location. Followed them from the Shoppes at Caesar’s. The menu has something for almost every eating style today. I was there early, to eat before a concert, the service and food were spot on. I’d return again without hesitation.
Everything was acceptable, not special. I don’t expect special in a place that serves 100 tables an hour and I’m told by the waiter that “when your last guest gets here, order fast..”
Quesadilla was way too oily and greasy - used my fork. The ceviche portions were small - I don’t seek New American Medium which is XL from 1988 but a small ice cream scoop of ceviche for $15 or so was underwhelming.
Great food- jalapeño margarita was great- service was friendly and inviting- we will be back.
Great mothers day brunch. Certainly not cheap, but unlimited and way better than a buffet in my opinion. Excellent service too.
Wonderful as always
Are here twice ... took very very long for the food to come out each time. Other than that it was great.
Always friendly and the brisket taquitos are amazing as is the steak quesadilla.
Right from the start, I knew it was going to be a lovely experience. Our server was super helpful with cocktail selections, entree recommendations and was diligent with one of our party’s food allergies. The drinks and food were super tasty and rustic- which was exactly what we all wanted. We shared our meals so I was able to taste everything and it confirmed the fact I’ll need to return to enjoy more meals there in the near future. Thanks for a lovely evening.
