    Just unbelievably wonderful. My husband and I loved Sunday brunch. Arturo, our server, was amazing. We will definitely be back. In fact, we can't wait!

    The atmosphere is so sad here and felt old and stale. We left as quickly as possible. I only wish we hadn’t ordered and had just left instead.

    We were a group of 7 and sat outside. The restaurant was not busy and that should have been our clue. It took at least 10 minutes before our waiter came by. It took us a couple of times of flagging down our waiter to finally get water. When we were ordering, one person requested their meal without peppers and the waiter said the chef would not modify the menu. When she asked to speak with the chef, the waiter refused. I wish we would have all walked out. The food was mediocre. Will not be back.

    The tapas took almost an hour to get to us. They ran out of champagne. Though our waitress was great, they were WAY understaffed and seemingly way behind in the kitchen, despite not being busy at all. The worst part: the food wasn't that great for all of that wait. Very sad, as they have vegan items.

    We arrived on 02/15 early to our dinner reservation and sat at the bar service was slow which wasn’t a problem until we finally were seated. Once seated no one attended is for at Least 20 mins and only after we asked to be serve. In addition we waited a very long time for our entree’s. We had to ask for water multiple times and just felt that we were being neglected. We Watched other tables be served promptly and with a sense of urgency without an apology. I’ve been in the service industry for 21 years and I rarely right a negative review as I understand the challenge of working with the public but I felt compelled to do so this time. I write this in the hope that management and ownership makes necessary changes so this doesn’t happen to anyone else, best of luck.

    We came for a nice Valentine’s Day meal and it was obviously pretty busy. The food felt like it was prepared in a rush and it was lukewarm. Everything needed a little something extra to up the flavor but i understood the kitchen was slammed. I’ve been here before and the service and quality of food was delicious and as to be expected, a busy night like Valentine’s Day showed a lack in quality. I’d still return back to eat, just maybe not on Valentine’s Day.

    I - along with many other of my table neighbors - were a little surprised, but very happy to receive a nice, tasteful bouquet of flowers; it was Valentine's Day. It came complete with unique gift cards we could personalize. It was a very nice touch. I liked the food and will likely go back again for the ambiance and menu selections.

    Border Grill was a wonderful experience. The food was terrific, definitely a cut above your chain Mexican restaurant. The room is unique, the service is excellent, and the price is reasonable, especially for DTLA close to the Music Center. It is a manageable walk, if you're a walker, 10-15 minutes. I'd definitely recommend.

    The food had really great flavor but our mains weren’t served hot. They were that shade of warm that’s frustratingly hotter than room temperature but not hot enough to feel like you’re eating an evening meal.

    I hadn't been to Border Grill in a while, and was enticed by the DineLA menu, which was appealing and an excellent value. The food was delicious (I had the Border Classics appetizer and shrimp bowl entrée), the service friendly and appropriately attentive, and the setting amusing. I'll try not to wait as long before my next visit.

    The service great and food was decent, but it was hard to actually enjoy anything with the drunken people at the bar yelling and screaming the whole time. What was worse is the bartender kept feeding them shots and at one point was taking shots with them. I get it, it’s DTLA I live here so I know, but this isn’t a bar or a sports bar and it was only around 8:30. Sad because I liked the menu and the art, but probably won’t go back. If you do go, the squash and the corn are excellent.

    Over the years, this has been one of our favorite downtown spots for a creative south-of-the-border menu. The last few times we've been here, at least one in our party was disappointed. The service is friendly and attentive enough, but seems the wait staff and kitchen are having a hard time coordinating getting a hot entree to the table while it's still hot. This has happened several times. Flavors are still great. Hope they can get thier issues worked out.

    I have always loved Border Grill, so sad to report that the food was mediocre and also way too spicy - the server said mild to medium, but it was hotter than that. Soup was tepid. Table cleaner brought half-eaten food plate from another Table to ours, stacked soup bowls that were still half-filled on top of one another which resulted in soup splashed on table and then put dish from the other table on top. Yuck.

    Loved the Sweet Potato veggie lettuce wrapped tacos!! The flavor profile was delicious. The guacamole was tasty plus with the addition of the fresh crispy chips. I definitely took my guacamole home but I ate all 3 tacos!
