Seriously my favorite tapas outside of Spain. The service is excellent, the food is top notch! Love this place ❤️
Food was perfect; service was exceptional.
This place is great except for the way too loud music. It’s a shame because food and service are fantastic but I won’t go back. It is impossible to carry on a conversation with such loud music.
Excellent Tapas ! Friendly service... A taste of Barcelona in NY !
I've been here before for dinner. The food and service were good. Today for brunch was loud as hell... a couple patrons at various tables..
Having just returned from Spain and Portugal, we decided to give this restaurant a go. And we were not disappointed at all. It felt like we were right back in Barcelona the food was so authentic. The tapas were wonderful and good sized. The paella was delicious and full of great flavors. My favorite tapas were the mussels, although the traditional Pan con tomate was excellent. WE will certainly come back again and again!
We had the most delightful experience at Boqueria with their tasty menu options, Mikey our waiter went above and beyond to make our anniversary a special ocassion! Wil sure be back!
Fabulous food. As good as the tapas in Barcelona.
The food was amazing and delicious, but the fountain soda was not a "free-refill" and we were not notified about that, which was unreal. When I asked another server about it- he said, "sometimes it is free refill and sometimes it is not." What kind of restaurant doesn't give free-refills on fountain soda? Still left server 20% because I have a conscience- but totally not cool.
The dishes we ordered were very tasty for the most part but they were on the salty side. My recommendation to the chef is to use less salt.
Great food, nice atmosphere.
The food and service was outstanding I would 100% recommend this to friends and family
Our meal was totally delicious, everything was perfect except the service: it is strange to complain about that but the service was... too fast. So fast that we had received more than half our tapas without receiving our pichet of sangria... Next time, we will order our tapas two by two to be sure we can drink too... ;) We will definitively go back next time we visit New York. It is a very great/sympathique/delicious place.
Went for the bottomless brunch and it was absolutely delicious! Worth the money, left very full and merry.
We shared several items which were all pretty good, but the Paella was terrible. Super disappointing.
The food here is outstanding, some of the best Spanish tapas I've had outside of Spain. Service has always been consistently great. If you get nervous in crowded, noisy spots then this place might be a bit too chaotic for you. I love it so much it's becoming my favorite restaurant to take special dates to. Great happy hour specials at the bar too. I do recommend making a reservation!
Boqueria is an outstanding restaurant, it has a great collection of Tapas, magnificent ambiance, very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a very good locale. I recommend the Pinoentos Padrón, the ham, the cheese,
the paella, the zetas, the tortilla española, all very good.
I have been to Boqueria many times and i am sad to say that for the first time the paella was mediocre
This was my 2nd time here. This time we had chef’s menu, $49pp. We had a great selection and with churros at the end. Everything was delicious. Highly recommended!
This restaurant was highly recommended by my colleague from Spain. Before this restaurant, I have only been to one Spanish restaurant located around World Trade Center. The staff here were very friendly. The service is good! The food is ok to my taste. We had the meat plate(jamon iberico, this is good, meat lover will like it. ), tomato bread(pon con tomate, tasty but personally I would prefer more tomato on the top. It is still a good dish though), blistered shishito( pimientos de padron, this is ok. Peppers are fresh large, but lack of flavor and not evenly seasoned. To be honest not recommend this dish) , grilled flat bread( coca de setas, this is tasty, All ingredients will dance in ur mouth with lightly sweet aroma. The flatbread is really awesome. Each bite is crispy outside but very soft inside), flatbread with veggie and yogurt(Escalivada, this is my favorite on the table. More because it is something I have never had before and also cus I really love the flat bread they prepared. Soft, fresh , nice texture. ) , also had grilled shrimp, ( good but to the price I had better ones) , classic churro is really nice. Maybe I am not that into Spanish food yet, i will only give 3 stars for their food. But I really liked their staffs.
Atmosphere wise, this Place is very crowded. And u might have to share large tables with others. If you don’t mind then it might be fine for u. This place is also very loud, so if u like loud and energetic places here is for you.
If you wish to go to Spain for a great repast without ever getting on a plane this is the way to go. Expertly done and very satisfying.
Great food, great service. Be sure to make reservation
Great food, great service, and a fun evening! Just what we wanted!
Food was amazing and staff were very attentive and knowledgeable. Huge thanks to the staff for their help when my husband became ill and arranged a taxi back to our hotel
Quick get in - get out kind of experience for me. It’s nice that they have coat check because the whole place was packed.
Slow and spread out
This was not my first time at Boqueria, and although the food was very good as usual, the service was off its game. Our waiter seemed overworked, as it took some effort to flag him down, and the pacing of the meal was not right at all. Almost all of our food arrived in rapid succession, to the extent that we had to ask them to slow it down so that we could chew and digest. Unfortunately, by the time they did manage to put the brakes on, we only had one course left. The noise level was also deafening--it has never been a quiet spot, but it seemed particularly hard to carry on a conversation this time. The service and noise unfortunately detracted from what would have otherwise been a great meal, and when we finished our last course, rather than linger for coffee or dessert, we asked for the check (a laborious process in itself) and headed out.
Love this place! Food and service was great, only thing keeping it from a 5 Star was the wine. I probably should have ordered a bottle but did not want to, so I had glasses that night. All of them were not very good.
It’s the only criticism.
Was there for my bday with a group of friends. We were lucky to have one of the round tables in the corner. The ambience and atmosphere was fun, trendy, and of course the food was delicious. We ordered about 2-3 tapas pp and a drink each. Total bill was reasonable and the service was OK. Getting seated and looking for the host was a bit of a challenge.
My dinner was going great until the hostess came over to our table as we were finishing our last drinks and goes “do you guys mind moving because I have another reservation that is waiting” so rude. I can’t believe I was asked at a restaurant to move while I was still finishing up something I ordered. We politely told her no we will be a few minutes. When we finally got up and got our coats from coat check and I was put my coat on my scarf that was still on the hanger the hostess was shoving it in my face so I would hurry up. Meanwhile I was a little busy trying to put on my coat.
Food was amazing and service as well. But the restaurant was SO loud. Please encourage people to not SCREAM, it gets really loud to a ridiculous point for some. And unnecessary.
Fantastic food and atmosphere at Boqueria as always. The tapas were delivered at a good pace and the house wine was good.
Food always amazing and service is ALWAYS lacking.
Add in the place is ALWAYS TOO LOUD and you have the perfect date place when you don't care what he says or if you will ever see him again.
The food was quite good.
But that place is really too noisy. Hard To talk with the person you came with !
The service was wonderful from the hosts to the managers to the servers. Excellent Excellent Excellent. The food and drinks were perfect. My friend and I were visiting from D.C. and we were very happy with everything. I will definitely be back my next trip to NYC.
We made a reservation a week in advance for 3 people at 7:15pm on Saturday. We arrived at 6:30pm and asked if we could be seated early. We were told no, so we ended up lucking up on a seat at the bar. The Maitre D, was rude. We kept having to remind her about our table. Finally after asking her about our table we we're seated at 7:30pm. Overall the restaurant was super crowded, and noisy. But, a good experience besides the Maitre D's lack of attentiveness.
Dined on Saturday night with a party of 6, which required the prix fixe Chef's Menu. All of the dishes were excellent, but 1 member of the party has an extreme allergy to nuts. The restaurant told him which dishes not to eat, but did did not bring him any substitution dishes. I find that policy to be unacceptable. I love this restaurant, but would recommend that anyone with a food allergy dine elsewhere.
The food arrived quickly. It's a great place for brunch. The bottomless drinks could've been a bit stronger. But overall, it's worth the price.
I have been to this restaurant twice now and also to the one on the UES and all three times the food and wine have been amazing. The only thing I find odd is when you arrive for your table, they tell you the time you have to leave. It feels a little rushed once there.
Great food, good to go with a group and do the Chef's tasting, LOUD atmosphere
