It was loud, very expensive and pretentious. Even the waiters seemed bummed!
So authentic I actually cried. (I had previously spent a significant amount of time in Spain)
Service was great. Thanks so much!
Loved it! Everything we ordered was delicious and our waitor gave great recommendations. The nutella churros are a must. Will be back soon!
Happy hour is a nightmare. Patrons were being rude with each other because lack of space. Needs much service design analysis.
Juan Carlos the bartender was very helpful, pleasant and friendly.
Was in NY for the weekend visiting friends and the dining experience was wonderful, good food, service was amazing. Will go back again!
Great service. Went with friends and had a great time, much of it thanks to great staff!
Great place, great food and service - just a bit cramped, you end up knocking elbows with the customers on the next table. Would still recommend it though.
Great vibe, cool spot but food a bit disappointing for the price.
Great food and fun vibe. Great for groups.
My party had their Boozy Brunch special and were very pleased. The only reason I gave the food 4/5 stars is because this was the second time I'd been there and both times the meat in the paella wasn't a great cut. All of the tapas, however, were spectacular. As was the sangria.
We went for my birthday brunch and had a great time. I brought a big group of girls and we got a really good table. There are plenty of different options so everyone was happy with something, we had 2 vegetarians and there was something for them. The brunch feast had plenty of really good options and you are able to switch between the "bottomless" drinks and try them all - you won't be stuck with something you don't care for.
Everything was great except they forgot one of the appetizers that were part of brunch. ....... :/ who does that?! But otherwise good
The second time we have been here. Both occasions have been superb, great food and wine
All good but intensely loud.
Sat at the bar. Bartender recommended some great Tapas. Offered a sampling of some red wine that was exactly what I had described. The Sangria was great. Would have liked to see some better options for Vermouth.
One of the best brunches I’ve been to so far. The food was amazing and so was the staff! Can’t wait to take some of my other friends!
I thought the food was just all right. The noise was almost unbearable. The staff was superb.
Great atmosphere, wish the server pointed us to the best dishes— we couldn’t decide what we wanted
Food was great as usual. Noise level was insane. My friend and I couldn’t hear eachother and walked out with horse voices due to screaming over everyone else.
After getting a curt blow off when I came in with my 3 person reservation on time, I was greeted with "we only accept "twos" in our reservation. I gave up but my friend from Texas visiting went straight to the manager and said there has been a mistake, we have a reservation for 3 tonight. We got a table and the service was great after that.
Upscale dishes for casual check. Place is small and popular, so it gets crowded and noisy at nights.
Food was great. Croquetas (both Ham and Mushrooms) were delicious - our fave! Happy Hour is for bar area only. Bartender from Columbia awesome guy! We enjoyed his food/drink recommendations and welcoming. Thanks we had a great time!
Really enjoyed the Boqueria. The place was packed with young and trendy folks on a Thursday night. But making an opentable reservation a couple of hours earlier, we were seated immediately. Even though the restaurant was full, our server was on-point - there when we needed him, but not hovering. Food was excellent.
The staff were so rude to use and unhelpful. They refused to seat us even though we had booked, we’re ready to order apps and drinks, simply because 1 of our party of 6 were not present.
It was a 5.30 booking and a quiet time at the restaurant.
Then they didn’t serve us drinks at The bar.
We left and went two doors down to Sala One Nine and had the best time!
The hostess gave me attitude when I️ asked to be seated at a different table. She attempted to seat us right next to others when there were at least 10 other tables open.
Everything was great except for the restaurant was very busy and they basically kicked us out to accommodate the next party before we were done with drinks.
This place never disappoints. I’ve been coming hear for a long time and it’s always been a great experience. I will definitely keep coming back.
My wife and I were in the city to celebrate our anniversary. We love tapas and had heard great things about Boqueria. The restaurant did not disappoint. The sangria options were fantastic. We opted for a sangria with grilled pineapple and mezcal. The tapas were just as good. The standard menu features standard tapas options, but the daily specials offer a little more variety and seasonal choices. Definitely worth checking out.
Food was outstanding a bit noisy but very
energetic. The only negative was that they squeezed a table of six people right next to
use so we did not have much elbow room
The food and service was so good that we overlooked this. Would definitely go back
We were a group of 7 and forced to the prefixed menu. The menu included tapas only most of which did not include meat or fish. We were just in Barcelona and wanted to experience the same delicious food but Boqueria didn’t even come close! We will not return or recommend to our friends!
This is our 4th time at Bouqueria and we still LOVE it. It’s our go-to restaurant in NYC. Both locations are wonderful.
Swanky tapas and great vibe, though a bit noisy with the music in the background.
Absolutely wonderful, best tapas is the USA. Patatas bravas were amazing, and worth a visit for these alone.
Chairs are uncomfortable, and noise level is too much for conversation, but food is too good to pass up.
The food was excellent. The choices on the menu, abundant. Drinks were delicious. Went with a couple co-workers after work. Very enjoyable.
Delicious food. All of our food was amazing...except the desserts, which were pretty crappy, to be honest. A half-cold, half warm, and poorly baked crema Catalina, and about 3x times the appropriate amount of cream on a cake. Desserts were a major letdown after the phenomenal appetizers and entrees.
Just loved all the dishes/tapas we had and loved our waiter and the timing of the service.
It was so so loud though— hard to even hear people next to you. A fun vibe there but they have to figure out how to improve the sound. A bit!
We’ve been coming here for years and they never disappoint. Food is amazing and service is excellent. Must try the patatas bravas, lamb skewers, and shrimp with garlic.
