Boqueria Flatiron Ratings and Reviews
Its a wonderful for deal for brunch-- $40 for 4 tapas choices, two main course choices or paella, one desert choice and bottomless sangria or mimosas. While the food is really good, the service and ambience is lacking. It was so incredibly loud, I was screaming in order to have a conversation with my husband. Not a huge deal, but annoying I couldn't enjoy regular conversation. Our server while very nice, was unintentive. It wasnt incredibly busy to justify it however she was consumed with a bigger party opposite us. She forgot about our table, and we had to track someone down to get the check. She never came back to say goodbye etc. I don't think I'd go back.
Always one of my favorites... Great food, love white sangria, very hip place... It always has plenty for vegetarians as well but for me the octopus is always epic... I go there all the time... Note that its very loud at night and kind of a party place in a good way...
Had a wonderful experience at Boqueria. The food was really good, however the drinks needed a little bit of tweaking. After I paid we were rushed out of our table which I did not mind as we were about to leave. None the less, my mother made a stink about it. She did not appreciate it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our evening here! We had the chefs tasting menu and we were blown away by each and every dish. Our meal was definitely top 5 meal we’ve ever had in NYC. Our waiters Isabella and Edward were lovely and very attentive. We cannot say enough great things about I️t! We will definitely be back many many times!
This place has great varieties of Spanish tapas! I would personally recommend the ham and cheese plate they offer for 20 bucks because it has a large portion and very tasty. Whoever drinks wine is suitable for the restaurant! I went there with my mother but she absolutely loved it. They offer creative cuisines and at the same time they are very yummy!!!!
We were celebrating a friend's birthday. Boqueria Flatiron was great in terms of food, drinks, and hospitality. It's not easy finding a place for 10 during holiday season but they went above and beyond. The food was delicious and plentiful. Will definitely go here again for both large and small parties.
Food was very, very good. Like even if everything else was horrible (which wasn’t he case) I would consider going back for that Benedict good. There was a brunch option we weren’t even offered which was a bummer- but it would have been a great option. Also they have no high chairs which isn’t ideal - but they did happily check our stroller and were very kind to my daighter.
Another wonderful time but this time the paella was not good. It was luke warm, the chunks of pork belly were too large and not carmelized enough, and there was not enough salt. It was a little embarrassing because I had raved about this place and convinced my friends to meet here.
The food is amazing, our server was fantastic but I wouldn't recommend sitting at one of the community tables because it's way too tight and you end up getting hit by people waiting or by the wait staff. Aside from that, this place is awesome and I will definitely be back!
I picked Boqueria based on th menu and reviews and was not disappointed. Food was great with a terrific tapas menu. The service and sangria were also great. Terrific recommendations from the bar tender for their Rose sangria! Stopped first at the bar for Happy Hour. Great value for drinks and tapas. Only complaint is that our second pitcher of Sangria was almost twice the price after we sat down at the table for dinner. Still was a great time. I would definitely return.
I️ love this place so much. Been here many times and it’s always a success. Last night I️ took a friend here who is visiting the city on business and it’s his first time in New York. The croquettes are some of the best I’ve ever had. The seasonal squash with chorizo was also amazing.
The food was tremendous but our waiter, sadly was not. We asked to be moved because the vent above us was dripping on us and our drinks and we were afraid it would drip in our food. The waiter told us that they could not move us because they had “lots of reservations”. Someone came and wiped the vent a few times but we were refused a new table multiple times.
Meanwhile, a table of two opened up directly next to us right as we complained about the problem the first time, and the table two tables over were allowed to utilize it after we had been refused to move over, because they didn’t have enough elbow room at their current table.
I love the food here but am really disappointed at the level of service we received. The waiter continued to be rude to us and acted as if we were an annoyance during our entire meal.
Community seating does not make for a great experience. Too expensive to sit next to strangers. Very awkward. Hostess was rude about the seating issue. We had reservations and could have taken a private corner and the hostess said she had to save it in case a larger party came - one never did. Food was delicious but NEVER going back because of the bad ATTITUDE.
I came here with a dear friend for his birthday. Everything was extremely good: the food, service, and ambiance. We both had a great evening, though we also agreed that it was way too loud. We ended up shouting the whole evening. It's really too bad, since there is no reason to leave a nice restaurant with your ears ringing! So many NYC restaurants have this problem, it's noise pollution and it's completely unnecessary. Note to city restaurant owners: People will have an even better time if they can hear themselves think!
From outside, one can’t tell how classy the restaurant is.
Once you get in, everything is comfortable. Good music, nice staff, good food. The boozy brunch is great, but be careful with the sangria... Or you might end up being drunk, as I was! 😉
The churros and coffee (americano) were amazing. The tapas were good (some great, some okay). The paella was very average and lacked salt - we asked for some salt to add on top but never got it. Most importantly, the lady who was going to seat us was very rude so it was a bad start. Our reservation was on the list but she made us sit at the bar saying we dont have one. I had to look it up for her and when I found it she didnt even apologize and was rather rude.
I love this place but the noise level is horrible at busy times, deafening. To call this noise level energetic is a huge understatement. Of course, tile of the walls doesn't help. But the food and service are wonderful and I have spent many hours there after the crowds leave. Great place!
We've been going to the Soho location for a long time and love it! This was our first time at The Flatiron location and it was even better! The service was better, timing of the food was better even the preparation of the food was better! We will definitely go back!
I have been here before but at a different location. I wanted to come for my birthday because the food was incredible the last time I went. The good thing is that the food is consistent and was excellent this time as well - fragrant, creative, fresh, hot, etc. However, the service was quite poor. Our main waiter was extremely rude to us. There were several occasions that this happened but the ones that stood out to us were 1, we were thinking about which chef's menu we wanted and honestly it wasn't for that long but he rushed us and was very impatient 2, my friends asked if there was anything special for birthdays but he had bad attitude, was annoyed and seemed flabbergasted that we even asked that. Another time, the ceiling (or something above us) was dripping water on my friend and when we complained, the man that took care of it was very polite (it was a different man than previously mentioned) and nice but I think it kept dripping. He was very nice though, so this wasn't a huge thing. The main thing was the rude waiter/chef who was impolite to us all and created a negative experience.
Took our friend here for his 60th birthday and was hoping we'd be seated at our own table but instead we were seated at the communal table which was a little awkward considering we were there for a special occasion. Our server was absolutely amazing. Very friendly and attentive and even gave us a free dessert for my friend's birthday. The food here is spectacular so despite the awkward seating this time around I would most likely go back.
I always have a amazing time here.
The food and staff are always fabulous.
Anyone that's been to Spain 🇪🇸 can really relate great quality of ingredients they use for their dishes. So yummy.
The one complaint I have is that it's insanely loud! I always feel like I'm yelling to talk to my friends.
