Bootlegger Bistro Ratings and Reviews
I always have loved Bootlegger in the past. This year was a big let down. Starting with our waiter Roger who had no personality and appeared to not care one bit about us. Next the food had no flavor either. I brought the majority home and put it in the trash can. I did enjoy the bread and it was delicious. One trip to Bootlegger this year is enough and I normally go about 5 times in a 3 week period.
My wife and I were there for her birthday on Sunday. We enjoyed the service, Cody was very friendly and accommodating. The dinner was excellent, we feasted on the lasagna with meat sauce, and the bread bites were out of this world. The ambience was perfect. We will definitely be coming back when we visit Vegas again.
The hostess seemed a bit snooty and scattered. Other than that the service was impeccable! The food and atmosphere was amazing. My only disappointment was I put in my open table reservation that it was a milestone wedding anniversary and it didn't get mentioned.
Just moved to Vegas and had heard about Bootleggers for years, so we tried it. Disappointed in that everything about it feels touristy. The food was ok, but nothing exceptional, the waiter obviously was not happy being there and kept hurrying us up through the experience. The piano guy was very good, but not worth the trip back.
We love the Bootlegger Restaurant and go there often. We love that they have music while you eat. This time it was a little off. Huge parties made the noise level unbearable. It was National Pasta day and the waiter did not even know what that meant, we had to inform him. Two of the three pastas were good and the bacon flavored one was bacon overload. It won't stop us from going back again and again but it was a little odd.
The restaurant is a Las Vegas icon. The food is very good and reminds my of what grandma would serve. The lights are abit bright and annoying. The restaurant's decor is definitely so out dated its Italian Disneyland. I would return for the food and sit at the bar, where the lighting is more pleasing.
We went early to catch their early dining menu specials. We were disappointed. My Ceasar salad had an usually shaped and blackish colored crouton. I pointed this out to our waiter who plucked it off my salad and tried to crush it on a bread plate with a fork. It was squirted out from under his fork and flew out of sight and said it was an overdone crouton and walked away. He did not offer to give me a replacement salad as he thought I planted it. I could see it in his expression as he walked away. When our food finally came... it was lukewarm. My guest request her dish to be taken back to be heated. I did not send mine back, but should have. I was too hungary. I was almost finished when the waiter finally brought the other dish back. I expected it to be piping hot, it was only heated up probably in a microwave to more than warm but not hot off the stove tempurature. We finished half the dish and took the rest home. We will not come back.
The restaurant is large and bustling. There was a piano player in the corner, but the noise level didn't allow for enjoyment. The waiter was very friendly and explained an interesting history of the restaurant. We waited over 30 minutes for our food and were told that the kitchen was having delays. Overall, the food was good but not sure I would return on a weekend evening.
I really like this restaurant, the food and ambience is always very nice. We came for my birthday and there was a little mixup in the beginning on whether our table had been served or not because we brought mine over from the bar but after that everything was amazing. We especially liked the entertainment that evening.
We had just gone to Gordon Ramsey Steak the night before. We enjoyed our food more at Bootleggers. At least we did not leave hungry like we did with the tiny portions at Ramsey's and we paid a third of the price.
Everything was perfect until near the end when we wanted water and did not get served any for quite a while. The waiter came with the water glass and firmly touched each of our glasses with the pitcher. I explained to the manager while leaving that this spreads everyone's saliva around the restaurant.
My husband and I came here due to his Birthday. We have dined here before and absolutely Love eating here. I felt like our server was not happy with us because we didn't order any alcohol to drink.
We didn't because I was driving and my husband and I had somewhere to be later. The server seemed put off because of this.
The food was very good and the piano player was very good. We still love eating here and will be back.
