Wait staff was friendly and helpful. It was nice to have some healthy options available as well as many wonderful traditional Italian offerings.
I recommend the Calamari - didn't eat it this time but I have many times in the past, delicious and fresh too!
Check out Bootlegger's Copa Club - we saw Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns - they were excellent!! And with dinner, you get preferred seating. Quite the following, make sure to make a reservation thru Bootlegger for the Copa or make a note in your OpenTable Reservation to avoid any confusion.
Good enough to go back again this Friday
Great food great service. We’ll be back!
The food is great, our server was ok. This is old Vegas at it's best!! My only complaint is their corking charge of $25.00 is in my opinion a little high compared to some of their competition.
Awesome as usual
Try to get Richard if possible
Very good food, always a nice dinner option. Make sure you ask for the daily specials, the options change everyday.
Great history of this family owned business. The live piano music was an unexpected bonus.
My daughter and I were in Las Vegas for a mother/daughter weekend. We saw a special interest story on the local news channel that featured the owner who is 100 years old! We just had to try this historic Italian restaurant. The bolognese sauce was out of this world. The pasta was cooked to perfection and the cesaer salad was delicious. This is definitely a must do place when you are visiting Vegas. It is a little drive south of Mandalay Bay and the Tropicana, but the trip is well worth it!
We had an enjoyable evening. There were many large groups so there was a lot of noise. I wish I could have heard the performer better. Our server was fantastic. We love this place.
The gravy is good! The marinara is authentic slow cooked and a perfect melody of of herbs, & tomatoes! Spinach garlic olio is divine and the sausage is perfect! Everything is good!! Best place we have found next to Lauguna Beach Ca!
Best clam linguine EVER.
I have enjoyed the Bootlegger many times in the past; however, this last visit was disappointing. In an Italian restaurant, it is customary to offer olive oil and balsamic vinegar for bread dipping. We had to ask for it specifically. I ordered Chicken Alfredo. When the dish was presented, the noodles looked to have been sitting out for some period of time as they were dried on the surface and therefore rubbery. Chicken was dry. The creme brulee we ordered for dessert had an odd taste -- can't even identify what it was. We had to repeatedly request refills for the water glasses. Maybe it was just an "off" night, but I'll think twice before choosing this restaurant again.
Chairs very old and in poor condition.
What a great find this place was! Was in town for the Celine concert (Never saw, as she became sick and had 2 canceled shows), and Bootlegger was highly recommended. They have live music nightly, and a harpist was playing thus night. So glad we tried it - our waiter, Triain "Try-on", was a pro! We wish could have stayed for coffee & dessert. We will definitely return again!
We have been coming here for 10 years. This is our go to place when we are in town. The service is wonderful and the food is out of this world. Love it here ❤️
Use to be nice just okay now, not sure if The restaurant has changed ownership.
Great Italian food selection with an old school ambiance. The food is excellent and is served in a timely fashion. The wait staff is pleasant and makes the experience enjoyable. The cost is reasonable as well. Overall, the dining experience was enjoyable. The bar area has several big screen TVs so viewing your sports team(s) prior to dining is easy to do as well.
The service was spectacular! The food was absolutely incredible. It was my first time going there and am already making plans to return.
Enjoyed a wonderful dinner celebrating Ray's 92nd birthday . The food and wine was super and the music was really great. It was perfect pitch so we could carry on a conversation and still enjoy the music in the back ground.
Excellent food.... wonderful service..... I'll be back!!
We love this restaurant! We make it a point to eat here during every visit to the Vegas area.
We have been to Bootlegger for breakfast, lunch and for dinner. Each and every time the food has been delicious and the service was excellent. We visit Las Vegas at least once a year (twice this year) and we make it a point to include The Bootlegger on our itinerary. The food is always fresh and authentic Italian. The food has always been of excellent quality. We recommend this restaurant to all of our friends who travel to Las Vegas.
Great Food, Great Service. Would like to see more detail on the expresso ( sugar cube, lemon skin, napkin ) etc. Not just plop a cup of expresso spilled on the saucer. Other wise a Very Nice experience. I believe Justin was our waiter? Very Good to deal with , Great Job. Overall Great Dinner. Would only like to see more detail on the coffees.
Food is excellent, always consistent. Friendly atmosphere, Great music.
Always love the Bootleger! Good food, good service, good fun!
Food was excellent. Live music was good but a little too loud for casual conversation.
2nd time at the bootlegger. First time awesome, 2nd time...marginal. Food was good, service was missing. Waiter had no energy, wine glass sticky, garlic knots hard, no ground pepper offered, no spoon for pasta. Not worth the price, not sure if we will try a third. Told them about a birthday, but no mention.
I would say Bootlegger is "good enough," but it's packed so I may have chosen the wrong dishes. Going to try the pizza next time because the menu wasn't terribly alluring. Way too much garlic in everything (and I lived in Italy) but good cuts of meat and fish. Pasta was al dente to the point where the fettucine woudn't wrap around a fork, which was a change from the usually overcooked pasta in the US but still not up to Italian standards. Portions good, other than the skimpy $9 Caesar salad. I wouldn't call the food Neapolitan or Sicilian as much as Italian American because nothing resembled anything one might get in Italy (it described the carbonara as having a "cream sauce," which no menu in Italy would ever say, but not having eaten it, can't say if it was actually a cream sauce or genuine carbonara (in which no cream is used but egg, cheese and oil are added to the pasta itself. Loud and convivial, and the staff, while rushed, was friendly and professional. All in all, it was just good enough to try again.
Enjoyed the music but to loud. Very difficult to have normal table conversation.
Bootlegger Bistro was recommended to us while we were planning our Las Vegas trip. The food was wonderful. Our server was excellent. The only "fly in the ointment" was the cheesy male singer that was absolutely awful. Would have been much happier with piped in music with Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin singing. Otherwise, a wonderful visit.
The food was pretty good my friend and i both had the Spinach fettuccine primavera was good but DRY! The Pawns were $6 a piece!! pricy! The ravioli was good and the pawn linguini was good but pricy! Service was ok nothing special a bit loud and crowded. Since the Sante Fe and Fat City horns were playing that evening to be expected they were excellent!
consistently good food. they don't seem to have enough servers so the service was slow
Always great food and service.
Good food, good service, but food needed to be a little hotter temperature when served. Would try it once more, but if food not hot not again.
Great Italian, affordable cocktails and great entertainment, especially when George B. is there!!!
Old school Vegas. Nice to visit.
Booth was nice to sit in & listen to the music. Would recommend the pork chop with mushrooms.
We dined here in November 2017 and had a fantastic meal. We dined here on November 22, 2017 and had a lousy meal. We had 3 different entrees, the Osso Buco was cold, tough, and fatty. The Veal Saltimbacca was cold and the Veal was tough. The Manicoti was cold. We sent all 3 entrees back. This should not happen at a good restaurant. Something must be wrong in the kitchen for serving 3 meals that were cold.
We loved the Bootlegger when it was at Tropicana and Eastern years ago. In LV frequently this was our first time at the new location.
Service very good, although took a bit long to place our wine order but the food came out quickly and the server definitely knew how to serve
Ambience - dark and intimate with a piano player singing the best of Sinatra, Martin plus some 60’s 70’s pop. Big booth seats with tuck and roll upholstery - straight out the 50’s; reminde me also of Mama Leone’s in NYC. It’s a really nice restaurant. 75% full when our party of two was seated but very ast to have a conversation.
Food - great Italian food, take home portions. Chicken Parm was very food, breast was moist nad evenly breaded, perhaps a bit heavy on the cheese but not excessively so. I had the sausage dish, served with red peppers, onions, sliced roasted potatoes and foccacia bread with marinara on the side. Sausage was juicy, tender, moderately spicy with just enough basil (often they clobber you with basil - not here). The red peppers were so tasty, they actually competed with the meat.
Wine list - we found one of our favorite wines, which is a coincidence, of course but only added to our enjoyment. The list was decent but, as with any fine restaurant, its best to bring your own and pay corkage.
Value: Good value For the size of the portions in a nice intimate setting. $50 for both meals, $50 for the bottle of Meiomi Pinot noir. It’s right up there with Nora’s ove on Flamingo
Both Lyft drivers, to and from, complimented us on our choice.
Delicious and authentic Italian food. Great date night with live music!
I always have loved Bootlegger in the past. This year was a big let down. Starting with our waiter Roger who had no personality and appeared to not care one bit about us. Next the food had no flavor either. I brought the majority home and put it in the trash can. I did enjoy the bread and it was delicious. One trip to Bootlegger this year is enough and I normally go about 5 times in a 3 week period.
