    has history.. open for 70 years. the food is awful. tasteless. and smothered in garlic as if some one told the chef.. well- its Italian so it need lots of garlic. we could have done better going to the Olive Garden . The quality is just not worth the $100 per person price tag (wine is $20 per half glass). I dont mind paying as long as im getting a meal that matches the cost . honestly ... go to the Italian american club. the food is authentic and reasonable . unlike this americanized "Italian " restaurant. the cherry on top was the chocolate lava cake that tased toxic. never again. period.

    Bre' was a treat to an already exciting time at the Bootlegger. I have never been disappointed at this restaurant. Our treatment was spectacular from the welcome to our departure. The food, as always, was delicious and presented with gusto and aplomb. We sat in the booths in the bar. Great ambience with wonderful attention. Our meals were simple and simply wonderful. A true daytime treat.

    I was excited to try this restaurant after reading all of the amazing history. Upon arrival, the ambiance was extremely “old-school” Las Vegas, which is so refreshing. The photographs and memorabilia in the lobby and at the booth set the tone for a great dining experience, however it stopped there. The waiter was not personable and did not know if an espresso martini was makeable. The blood orange martini was a delicious substitute as I was nervous to get an espresso martini without server/bartender confidence. The bread came out which was very doughy and unappetizing. The marinara it came with was better than bread, but still a bit lacking. I was very disappointed in the food as I really wanted to love this place as my next Italian go-to in Vegas. I ordered Chef Maria’s Veal Saltimbocca. The veal was very thick and tough and the insides that were to include Genoa salami, hot Capicola and cheese were only in the middle of the big fried mess. The sauce was tasty but there was not enough of it to offset the lack of flavor of the main course. Sadly, the side fettuccini was also extremely bland even after adding lots of salt and pepper and I am not even a salt person. My friend ordered the Pollo Francese and had a similar experience with lack of flavor or taste. I hate to give bad reviews but cannot in good conscience recommend the food here. It may be a good off the strip place for happy hour just for the ambiance if you do not want an espresso martini.
