Bookers BBQ + Crab Shack Ratings and Reviews
it was unfortunate that we didn't know all you can eat Crab and Ribs Sunday night price had dramatically increased. Last visit it was $45 and this visit was $57!
too much of an increase to be surprised with.
But super yummy as always! Best crab in the city by far!
Our servers and our waitress were so attentive and pleasant!
Our friends and us have wedding anniversaries 2 days apart so we wanted a night out to celebrate. We like trying different restaurants and not going to the same ole all the time. We weren't disappointed with our choice...it was a great evening with friends, good food & drink. We will recommend to others! We understand the restaurant was extremely busy with the Remembrance Day special so wait staff were run off their feet. Only downside was the ribs on the BBQ platter were very grisly fatty and hard to eat.
Visited restaurant as a get together and Birthday of one member of our party. Food was very good and service was excellent. Portions were large and none of us left hungry. Only negative on this occasion was the noise level which was very loud as we visited the restaurant on Memorial Day. Booker's was recognizing the military and emergency responders on this day. We'll be glad to return in future. Would like to try some of their seafood offerings.
The food was terrible. Over breaded fish, undercooked fries, watered down gumbo, ribs that tasted like they were re heated, corn bread that tasted like the smell of burnt eraser and jalapeño macaroni that just tasted wired. Top it off with one of those plastic bread bag clips among a sandwich. Felt badly for the waitress. I
I had not been to Bookers in years--it was just not top of mind. However, that has now changed with my recent visits. I came in and shared an appetizer platter with one other person. The portion was generous and food was delicious. The ribs were my favorite. Food and service was so good I went back a week later and brought reinforcement with me. That same appetizer platter and a large Caesar salad was the perfect amount of food for 4 people. I'm already planning my next visit!
My Rating would have been 5 star across the board but when we first started eating the place was still pretty empty and the crab was way over cooked and the ribs slightly under cooked. Once the restaurant started to fill up and large amounts of food were being brought out the quality of the food became perfect. Next time we go we will book a later reservation.
For a crab shack the options for seafood were very poor. The worst crab i have ever had. The service was very poor, i think the waitress forget we were there. The table next to us was very loud and vulgar. We could not hear each other talk across the table. Would not recommend it or go back.
Food as usual was great. Servers responses and general demeanor was not really great. It seemed like we were"not worth it" so I was disappointed in that. She forgot to bring a couple items until we asked again. Maybe it was her first day or something... Don't know. Still a super place and would recommend.
