Service was impeccable, food was excellent. I had the stuffed salmon w/ crab, wonderful, wife had petite filet, perfectly done and tender. Sides are family style and we chose the mashed potatoes and the cheesy corn, they were both fantastic, loved the corn. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Would highly recommend.
Always get great food and great service! Can't go wrong!
Food and service was excellent! Highly recommend this restaurant if you want a good steak!
Excellent! The food and service is always good. It's well worth the visit. We'll be back!
We had three suppliers in from São Paulo Brazil which we treated to a fantastic dinner. Wine selection is outstanding and food was prepared exceptionally well.
The entire evening was top notch. Only two small items for feedback sake only. My date requested a Bellini and was told that an ingredient (puréed white peaches) was not available. Finally, I had the petite filet and crab cake and the crab cake was served on a swirl of ketchup. The ketchup invaded not only the crab, but also the filet. I understand the ketchup was for presentation, yet it was unneeded.
Top-notch! Great service, great food and worth the time and money!
Nothing short of amazing! A wonderful evening!
Great overall, this trip service was below par and cold bernaise 😂
Enjoyed a special evening occasion and we enjoyed wonderful dinners of filet and pork chop, perfectly done and presented. The seafood options look fantastic, had a crab cake appetizer but preferred meat for entree that occasion and will be back for that experience.
Best crabcakes in va, filet mingon was tender and moist thru and thru.i will definitely do again
Excellent service as always, and food was very good. Upscale restaurant without the "snooty" atmosphere.
Great night out. We had great service and food.
Outstanding! As it always has been for us. We make our way from Short Pump to Bookbinder's when we want a special meal, and we have never been disappointed.
I took my girlfriend to dinner and left with a fiancee'. Our engagement dinner experience at Bookbinders could not have been more perfect. We were given an out if the way, quiet table. Our server was exceptionally attentive. Our appetizers and meal were excellent. Everything about our special night was made even better by the staff of Bookbinders. Thank you, cheers!
Very good food, my stake was cooked right the first time witch is good for me. Service was great an friendly. A little pricey but not to bad. Would recommend it to all
Fun place with great seafood and sweet environment ..pretty wood accents and fun people!
Best overall dining experience between Williamsburg and Richmond! Great for special occasions or just a night out. Petite Filet and Kona Coffee Crusted Filet Mignon were our entrees during our most recent visit. Both were amazing as well as our waiter Chris!
We had an amazing meal at Bookbinders! The service was impeccable. We chose filet and it was one of the best I’ve ever eaten! Definitely enjoyed our evening! They even had printed Happy Anniversary on our menus!
Nice place for a special occasion. A tad on the pricey side
Visited for the first time to celebrate my husbands birthday.
When I mentioned to a friend that my wife and I were coming to Richmond to see Tony Bennett and we’re looking for dinner recommendations, he didn’t miss a beat, “You’ve got to go to Bookbinders!”
Truer words were never spoken. My wife and I have been married 31 years; this was a top-5 dinner.
Keep up the great work!
My husband and I tried to book this restaurant for New Year's eve but we couldn't get in so we decided to try it on a weekend night in March. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the ambience it was very classy not very loud but still well populated. The sea food was delicious we had the swordfish special and the horse radish encrusted Rockfish. And my husband particularly enjoyed the bread and I thought the berries and chocolate pate dessert was heavenly. The only downside was that they do not serve espresso coffee's and we really enjoy a good espresso after dinner.
The atmosphere was really nice, very nice touch to have the wife's birthday greeting printed on our menus, although the jazz was just a bit too much and a bit too loud for our non jazz taste. Salads were superb, as was the bread, and crab cakes. I had a Tequila Sunrise, it was one of the best I have ever had. We each had steaks, I chose the petite because I wanted to try the fried shrimp with mine. The petite steak was overcooked (wife wanted me to send it back, but I did not want to cause delays on her birthday) and it was very noticeably tougher than the wife's steak. Cream style corn was a disappointment, but the mashed potatoes were very good. Service was good, but not overly impressive for the price of the meal.
While the food was very tasty and the decor is relaxing, the music could use improvement. They were playing not-so-smooth jazz at too loud a level for an early evening timeframe when the restaurant was not yet in the least busy or filled with patrons.
Our server Zachary was wonderful, attentive but never intrusive. Next time we dine with you we will ask for him!
My wine choice, a Sauvignon blanch was perfect, but my husband was not as impressed with his steel Chardonnay.
Great food, great service, great choices. The only downer was a loud table next to us, just rude classless folks, our waitress tried to help but still was too much. Once they stumbled out it was much better...
This was my wife and i first time eating at Bookdinders Seafood and Steakhouse. The experience was top rate and a most return. We will be return customers.
This was our first visit to Richmond. We just picked this restaurant off the internet and must have found the best restaurant in Richmond. The food was excellent - the stuffed salmon was just off the charts delicious. Will definitely eat here again. Not cheap, but you do get what you pay for.
The manager actually came over and spoke ... making the experience more personal
Overall... just an awesome place
We are never disappointed when dining here. The food is always outstanding as well as the service. We actually will be returning in a week to take his out of town parents
Bookbinders has quickly become my favorite restaurant in Richmond. Amazing food and amazing service!!!!
First visit...and we will be back. Had a quiet table, an outstanding waiter and great food...doesn’t get any better.
Bookbinders is #1!! Amazing food and service! Love this place!
Just can'tsay enough great things about Bookbinders. Food, service, wine all were excellent. Even had anice brief chat with the owner who made it a point to visit every table at least once. Keep up the great work.
Food above average, but over priced. Wine prices are outrageous.
The waiter we had was horrible!!!!! The food was great and the atmosphere was also great... my friends and I had a wonderful time! However the waiter we had was very rude and unprofessional!!
This was the best experience I had dining out in a while. The customer service and atmosphere was top of the line and I can not wait to come back again. This was an outing for me and my mother who do not get to see each other much and we really enjoyed ourselves.
First visit...met owner who was very courtesy and welcoming...love service and look forward to next visit.
Everything was absolutely fantastic. The food and service were amazing. My children had never been here before and now love it!
Bookbinders is a first class seafood and steakhouse restaurant. It is easily the equal of better-known establishments such as Ruth's Chris, Capital Grille, and Morton's. The menu selections are excellent and some are creative. The wine list is guaranteed to please anyone, and is reasonably priced. I had the Petite Filet Mignon, which, at 8 oz, is the same size as other establishments' larger portion. The Diane Sauce that I ordered with the filet consisted of a very tasty cream sauce with mushrooms. Excellent! My wife ordered the Lobster Mac. She said it was the best such dish she has ever had. Finally, our server, Avery, was a key ingredient in the memorable meal we had at Bookbinder's.
