Bonnell's Fine Texas Cuisine
Certified Texas organic beef, wild game, and fresh gulf seafood are the star performers of Bonnell's. Each dish exhibits creativity and innovative tastes with a blend of Southwestern, Creole, and Mexican influences.
Fine Texas Cuisine, as defined by Chef Jon Bonnell, is a blend of regional flavors and cultures, combined with local ingredients that make Texans proud. All of the venison, quail, wild boar, beef, ostrich, chicken, fish, oysters, shrimp, cheeses, and fresh herbs served at Bonnell's come from the great state of Texas.
Food was excellent as always. Staff was friendly and attentive. Was able to tailor my meal to fit my diet.
This restaurant was even better than anticipated! The staff were awesome and the food was terrific. It also is a nice restaurant but reasonably priced for a nice restaurant and the quality of food you get.
My dinner club visited for restaurant week. Bonnell’s else always delivers. Excellent food & excellent service
The whole experience was wonderful. From the moment we walked in the door we were treated like royalty.
The food was exquisite and the presentation was like a work of art. The wine list extensive. The chef and owner Jon Bonnell came to our table and chatted. It was an excellent evening and I would highly recommend this fine establishment.
Everything was excellent, from salad, entree, sides to deserts!
Food was good as it usually is. The off the menu intrigued us this time, but still stayed with the mixed grill. Can't go wrong!
Always a great experience! Love that they have seasonal along with their outstanding regular menu. Can’t wait until they have the duck on their menu! Highly recommend you to make a reservation and try it out or just stop in for a nice evening drink at the bar. Bartender is pleasant and knowledgeable on all drink types and you can try one of their delicious appetizers too.
New Years Eve celebration. We sat in large back room as there were 5 of us. We appreciated the last minute accommodation. The larger group in back of us were very, very loud. Theirs was a big table and they they were all engaged in conversation which was loud because of the size of the table. Once they left - when we were getting dessert, the quiet returned. Service was excellent.
Great food and service. Expect to pay $70-$80 per person.
We had Elk tacos and Bruschetta, appetizers
Then butter lettuce salad, and Qual Mushroom pasta dish for wife, and Wagyu steak for me. Then apple crisp desert that was best I’ve ever had. With her 7&7 and my Texas Old Fashion cocktails. Total $190 (worth every penny). Not that everyone cares about the cost of a great meal, but If you do plan accordingly. Very professional, quiet, respectful staff. My wife and held a 2 hr conversation without even realizing it.
Fabulous dinner and the attention to detail was amazing.
Love the food the ambiance . My third time and will continue going.!
This place was the best experience I ever had from the food to even the service overall I would recommend that this place be checked out.
Wonderful lunch menu, great soups, salads, and sandwiches.
I’ve dined at some of the better restaurants in America, the French Laundry and Gary Danko, to name a couple. The food at Bonnell’s is a wild game menu that could rival the best restaurants in the country. I highly recommend Bonnell’s.
It is our second time and we liked the place and the food so delicious. I will go next week again now for lunch and with a friend . Recommend 100%
This place is the best ever.
We had an enjoyable evening at Bonnell’s. The service was friendly, food was good and the wine list was expressive. The menu had something for everyone, from beef to fish to exotic game. The Redfish was delicious! We will definitely be back.
Wonderful dining experience. Service was excellent and well paced. Server was helpful with selections, and very attentive.
I’ve had lunch here more times than I can count and the food has always been superb. I like the varied and exotic choices as well as the more basic fare. All the food seems to be hand crafted with a wonderful knowledge of how to combine culinary expertise with creativity. Thanks!
Without Waze I would never have gotten to this place but I’m glad I did. Extraordinary food, not a big menu but carefully crafted. The Bonnell’s margarita was excellent.
Love those Oysters Texas fellers! And the buffalo was amazing.
Out favorite place to eat
Fantastic service and food. Great place for a casual dinner or a birthday celebration (as in this case). Wine list is excellent and the staff know the menu very well. Will be back!
Great service, great food - bison rib-eye with blue cheese sauce was cooked to perfection!
We celebrated our 30th anniversary at Bonnell’s at a friend’s recommendation and couldn’t have been more pleased with the experience. Exceptional service, comfortable but upscale environment, and incredible food. Our server was helpful and professional, and even provided a complimentary dessert to celebrate the occasion. We felt very pampered and enjoyed our meal very much. Definitely one of our top five dining experiences ever! We’ll make this a regular place to celebrate special occasions and look forward to coming back.
Our anniversary. We had friends join us. Food was delicious! Our server was wonderful - very attentive with great recommendations.
Was a delicious, meal , great service & wonderful time with life long friends!
Great selection and everything is made to perfection. Consider quail or steak they are the best.
We've been wanting to try Bonnell's for a long time, and it did not disappoint. Great food, great service, great drinks. So, so good!
$8 for two teabags? REALLY? Bonnets thinks too much of it’s fine dining to take advantage of its customers. I won’t be back.
A family favorite for special occasions. Services is impeccable, daily special offerings are always creative and delicious, wine list is very good with the chef's special offerings and dessert....save room!! Recommend reservations, but have walked in and gone to bar area to eat. They are very accommodating.
We have been to Water's Bonnell several times but neglected this restaurant for location reasons. Well worth the extra drive time to get to south Ft Worth. Food Atmosphere and wine were all sublime!!
I was impressed with the fried oysters then everyting went south. Asked for a medium rare Wagyu RIbeye. Was served well done. Got brussel sprouts as a side which had a bland taste to them and was like eating them raw. The truffle frites were okay but noting extraordinary. It was extremely loud and couldnt hear a thing my date or waitress said.
Great night. Goode exotic dining experience.
My elk was delicious but others that had the red fish were not impressed. The service unfortunately was slow and inattentive. I’m wondering if they had people call off? For those prices we would have expected immaculate service and attention.
Always enjoy this place and their creative menu. The absolute best Shrimp & Grits and the Pecan Crusted Redfish is our favorite.
As usual, this restaurant always pleases. I live in Colorado and try to visit this restaurant when I am in town. I had the rabbit enchiladas which were absolutely amazing. The blend of spices and rabbit was amazing. We also shared the mini elk tacos with cheese grits as an appetizer.....I don't even like grits, but again the different flavors melded together to make an amazing dish.
Bonnell's had some huge shoes to fill for us. We'd read reviews and heard through word-of-mouth it was almost in a league of its own in Fort Worth and it truly is. We haven't found a better fine dining experience in the area... Bonnell's is fortified at the top of our list.
The food was tremendous with service that was prompt. The buffalo tenderloin is my favorite. I’m never disappointed here.
