Great food, great service, great cocktails. My wife and I went for a good steak and a quiet date. I wouldn't recommend for kids or young groups looking for a high energy "loud" dining experience. This place is much better suited for dates or small groups looking to spend a bit for a great meal. The ingredients are sourced locally making everything as fresh as you can get. We will most definitely be back.

I found this restaurant to be a little odd. I can't really put my finger on it - just weird. We are in our 40s/50s and it was really nice to be able to talk to each other at the dinner table, but the crowd was older than us. The food was delicious - worth the trip for sure.

Bonnell’s has an amazing menu with some of the best food I have had. The wagyu ribeye is perfect every time I’ve had it. While it is pricy it is well worth it for special occasions.

Wait staff was excellent -great personality and took very good care of us. Brought out of town guests to experience what we always enjoy coming to Bonnell’s. Only negative was that Jon wasn’t in the house - It is always fun to have him visit our table in the past and our guests were looking forward to it.

Love the food and love everything about the dining experience at Bonnell’s!

We have been going to Bonnell's for many years and have also dined at the new Water's Restaurant in downtown Fort Worth. We've never been disappointed. The food is always great, and the service is always friendly and great. The bar is also fun.

We tried the hognose snapper even though we had no idea what it would taste like, it was excellent and a very large filet. Our server was very good with a good sense of humor! It was a very enjoyable evening for my birthday, thank you!

Quite a different kind of dinning. Food choices very eclectic and not your typical traditional Texas quesine to say the least. One of those places you definitely have to put on your restaurant bucket list here in the Fort Worth area.

Spent the evening here with wife and TCU student son and his roommate. Food was really good and most flavorful. I had a hogsnapper fish special that was as good as any fish I've had anywhere. Wife had shrimp and grits which is an appetizer but makes a complete meal for one. Son had Wagyu tenderloin and a couple of sides and everyone left fulfilled and enjoyed the experience. Oh, tres leches creme brulee was the final topper. All was great and server was very attentive.

Menu tooooo limited & Not enough choices. There's not a good basic steak like a filet or tenderloin. I got the ceviche and it was ridiculous!! Weirdest combo of ingredients. Nothing like a traditional ceviche. Should be called shrimp and grape salad(without lettuce) or dish. Not even sure what you would call it. The brushetta is also soooo weird. The supposed goat cheese was mostly cream cheese.
Very disappointed with all my food.

Service was good but most of the meal was average and at these prices I was expecting excellence. Will not be going back. Sorry, Bonnell your day in the spot light is over. Hire a new chef and spend some of that expensive meal money on the restaurant.

Bonnell's was great! As you walk in, you see a sign on the door that says, "Please silence your cell phones", which puts your mind at ease, knowing this is going to be a pleasant, peaceful dining experience. The decor was very tastefully Texas-western. The colors were warm and relaxing. Our server, sadly I forget her name, was wonderful-politely witty, non-intrusive, but seemingly always present, and very informative on the menu. The presentation of the food was aesthetically pleasing, and the flavor was....impeccable. I had the mixed grill, which normally includes: buffalo tenderloin, a half quail, and house-made andouille sausage, but I asked to substitute a full quail in lieu of the sausage-this presented no issue, nor added charge, and chose the elk for my third meat choice. For sides, I again made a substitute for Parmesan mashed potatoes, instead of grilled cactus, and also had the cheese grits. My wife had the Wagyu Ribeye, with asparagus and roasted potatoes. Every meat was prepared exactly to specifications-mine were medium-rare, my wife's steak was medium. EXCELLENT flavor with everything. Our glasses never reached empty, everyone was exceptionally polite and helpful, the atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. My only complaints were: 1, no sweet tea. Really?? I mean, this is Texas cuisine here....where's the sweet tea? 2, 2 small dollops of butter for our delicious cornbread. The butter was delicious (bacon jalapeño butter, and regular butter), but again, this is Texas....go big or go home....gimme some dang scoops of butter. Haha. We had two alcoholic beverages-mine was The Old-Fashioned (burbon, orange peel, cherry, something else, and a splash of Coke), and it will curl your toenails back. My wife had something about a Mule....it was good, and came in a copper mug. I will most definitely be back! No actual "dress code", but nice jeans and a button-down, some nice boots....you should be good. Wifey wore a nice blouse, nice pants, and something on her feet

Had dinner for 6 at table in bar area-a first. Quieter than regular area. Service inconsistent (another first), 2 people -too much selling cocktais at first, little during meal (water refreshes)- too busy having casual conversation with friends & never saw 2nd waiter again. Meal was delicious, as all experiences at Bonnells have been.
