This was our first visit to Bonnell's. We went as a part of restaurant week and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Brenda provided wonderful service to my husband and me. We will be back.

Food is delicious and service is outstanding. But the decor/layout appears that it hasn't been updated in more than 20 years. The other Bonnell branded restaurants are lovely and feel special. It just doesn't feel like a special night out when inside the restaurant at Bonnell's. When I get dressed up and walk into a place that needs a reservation, I want to feel like I'm at a reservation-only type of place. The furniture is old, the decor is strange and sparse. I wish it were more reflective of the food (and the price point).
Wonderful date night. Get the shrimp and grits from the bar appetizer menu. It's special. We did restaurant week special. What a wonderful menu and set of choices. Fantastic wine by the glass list and amazing service. John Bonnell stopped by our table to see how everything was going. You just DON'T see that anymore from the chef/owner. What a nice touch. This is one of my favorites in Fort Worth. Everything that made it so was on display tonight.

The best buffalo tenderloin came with perfectly thin and crispy french fries and roasted asparagus. We ended with the tres leches creme brulee. The table cornbread was perfect and a nice bottles of malbec paired well.
Awesome. Got the last lamb shank available for the weekend and it was fantastic. Got to finish my wife's Bison tenderloin and it was also fantastic. The key is to make sure you get 2 appetizers so she fills up on Oysters Texasfeller and elk tacos, then when she can't finish her tenderloin you volunteer to finish it for her. Also wash that down with a nice scotch and you can't put a price on an evening like that.
The food was not as good as my previous dining experience . The house salad was not as tasteful, the tenderloin was somewhat tough and the red fish has some smell. The crepe brûlée was runny.
Probably the regular chef was off that evening.
Our anniversary dinner at Bonnell’s was everything we hoped it would be. We loved the intimate setting and the ambiance. We are new to the area and found Bonnell’s through their great reviews on Trip Advisor. Our food was beautifully plated and delicious. Our server was exceptional. We highly recommend Bonnell’s for special occasions.

We are long time fans and repeat customers of Bonnell's. Today, I want to recognize the fine job the Bonnell's team is doing of addressing COVID safety. As required by local ordinance, masks are worn by employees, and required of patrons upon entering and walking around. Tables are appropriately distanced. None of those measures have any negative impact whatsoever on the food or service. Highly recommend you go see this fine establishment soon.

Honestly, I have never had a bad meal at Bonnel’s! I always try to get something different and I am never disappointed. Buffalo, elk, antelope, fish, etc - it’s all good. Sides are excellent and they have always allowed me to substitute a side for something I am not wild about. Great restaurant and Chef Jon is a class act!
We celebrate our wedding anniversary every year at Bonnell's and have never been disappointed. Despite COVID, this restaurant has adapted and still shines.
This was our first trip tp Bonnell’s but it want be our last. My wife had a grilled ribeye cooked to perfection. I had the Bison tenderloin that would melt in your mouth. The service was very remarkable with a very knowledgeable server that could accurately answer any questions we had. The layout and Covid masking was observed by all and we felt completely safe and totally enjoyed our evening.
Bonnell's is always outstanding food. Get the Tenderloin, as it won't disappoint with a side of the Truffle Pommes Frites. It is an expensive place but well worth it!

Bonnell’s has excellent food, coupled with a great atmosphere. Their service and attention to detail is impeccable.
As always, service, food, attitude, and making sure that the customer is satisfied. I have been to most of Bonnell’s restaurants and all make sure that you are satisfied and if he is there, he himself comes and checks to make sure that you have all you need.
Anniversary celebration was just what we needed. Not too crowded and plenty of social distancing. Food is always exceptional and the service top notch.

The service was absolutely exceptional from the moment we walked in. Areas were separated by room-like areas, so we appreciated feeling safe in that regard.
I got the mushroom ravioli. The pasta was so fresh and delicious. She got the buffalo tenderloin which bufallo tender I swear you could have cut it with a spoon.
They asked what we were celebrating and comped our dessert. It was a beautiful night, I can't wait to go again.
The entire staff made our evening very enjoyable. Especially our server Sheila. She was phenomenal.
This is mine and my wife’s favorite place to eat! The best shrimp & grits I’ve ever had. We have eaten all over North America and this by far is the best all around food. Jon Bonnell and team have done a fantastic job.

The food was outstanding as usual. The server seemed a little busy and at times we had to wait a bit between him visiting us. But overall it was a great experience and we would highly recommend to all of our friends. Please help support this local business that’s run by an amazing family that loves giving back to their community.
Our server, Caroline, was a delight! She was engaging and very accommodating for our dietary restrictions. We celebrated our son’s 11th birthday and she made sure he felt celebrated and special. Highly recommend Bonnell’s for a special occasion!

We always come away very satisfied with Bonnell's offerings. Today was no exception. The trio special was so delicious and the Bison filet spectacular as always. You cannot go wrong picking this place to eat a very fine meal.
