Bonnell's Fine Texas Cuisine
Certified Texas organic beef, wild game, and fresh gulf seafood are the star performers of Bonnell's. Each dish exhibits creativity and innovative tastes with a blend of Southwestern, Creole, and Mexican influences.
Fine Texas Cuisine, as defined by Chef Jon Bonnell, is a blend of regional flavors and cultures, combined with local ingredients that make Texans proud. All of the venison, quail, wild boar, beef, ostrich, chicken, fish, oysters, shrimp, cheeses, and fresh herbs served at Bonnell's come from the great state of Texas.
It was a lovely evening with great service and fantastic food. Our favorite was the Elk. Fabulous!!
Great food, wonderful service and a terrific bar area! All combined to make our evening special!
We take out of town guests here. They always ask to return. Love it!
Great meal - great service. One of our favorite places to dine and never disappoints!
Overall a good experience though some dishes prepared very differently than normal, that can be good and bad. For the money would probably prefer a different type of restaurant, this was a bit pricey for what it is.
Fantastic food. Quick service and the servers were all wonderful.
Food is ALWAYS wonderful at Bonnells!
A wonderful experience. . . as always. We appreciate all the efforts taken to make our dining experience a quiet one. We are customers for life.
Such a wonderful spot for dinner, but truly an amazing spot for lunch. A great menu with plenty of choices for anyone’s taste from burgers to crab and shrimp salad (which I had and was delicious!), tomato and jalapeño soup (I also had, really yummy and not spicy, just flavorful), Mexican inspired dishes, sandwiches and much more. And, very affordable. Of course the service is perfection. LOVE BONNELL’s!
Great food and great service
We went for a friends birthday lunch. Sheila was our wait person and she did a wonderful job. Very personal and gave us great service!
This was the perfect place for a dinner with friends, to catch up and experience Ft. Worth. Every dish we ordered was prepared well and taste Devine! The atmosphere was nice where we were able to talk and hear each other well. The partitions around the room made it feel more intimate. Our service was friendly and efficient. I would certainly recommend this place!
Another very delicious meal at Bonnell's. I could have made a whole meal out of the butternut squash soup and tiny cheese scones, but we went on to bison entrees with unique, yummy sides. The only downside is that the service on this evening was not up the level we usually get. Our server was friendly and polite but was absent for long time periods and didn't return in time to offer us a second glass of wine before we finished our meal. Not enough to discourage us though - we will be back!
A bit pricey, but consistently great food! Always a nice variety of menu items.
We generally eat here at Bonnell's a couple of time a year. It has never disappointed. It is a little pricey to go any more regularly, but the food is good.
I would recommend Bonnell's to anyone looking for great food, excellent service, and the perfect atmosphere for date night or an evening out with friends or family. If you want a little more lively atmosphere the bar side of the restaurant is where you want to be. An amazing place all the way 'round.
Food was excellent, the server was delightful. Making reservations was very easy.We will definitely be back.
Okay wad expecting atmosphere more like del Frisco or capital grill Eddie v... this was more of a casual dining experience
Wife’s birthday, however we go regularly. Great food, service, and atmosphere.
Fort Worth’s hidden gem!! It’s consistently fabulous and we love to eat there!
Always fun to come to Bonnell's and have anything quail.
I picked this for our 20th anniversary dinner based on reviews and the menu and it did not disappoint! The service was excellent, food was amazing, and the overall experience was fantastic. I would definitely recommend!
It was a wonderful Anniversary dinner!
Bonnells is the best for cuisine and service. Food was excellent as always with a good variety.
Everyone was great except there was a party of about 10 people in the corner. They had 3 small children seated there but a 2 year old that wouldn’t stop screaming. The hostess who sat us looked flustered by it but basically shrugged her shoulders. We were celebrating our 24 wedding anniversary and didn’t think we would be disturbed by noise at a restaurant this nice and expensive.
My wife and i went to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. Really had a good time
- Great ambiance and decor
- Service was awesome and the waitress had good recommendations
- Wine was good and not overly prices
- Food was delicious and not something that's commonly available
We ordered a creme brulee and they put nice "Happy Anniversary" touches and didn't even charge us for it
Bonnell's never disappoints. Lovely atmosphere, unusual (in a good way) food options that are mouth-watering. The buffalo strip was extremely tender, and the crust was simply perfect. Definitely going back!
This is one of our absolute, hands-down favorite places to dine out. Fantastic food, great wait staff, nice surroundings. A must visit spot for anyone wanting a relaxing evening with great food and drinks!
One of the best Birthday meals ever!! We can’t say enough about how wonderful this place is. Loved every minute!
Bonnell’s does exactly what I want it to do; take the “down home” south-southwestern” food I know and love and create a fine-dining experience worth every minute and cent. Between the well informed and polite staff, to the delicious food and drinks, there are very few, if any, negatives to Bonnell’s.
This place never disappoints. I had the buffalo tenderloin and it was fantastic. Everyone at the table was satisfied with their decision. Pretty good wine list and our pairing was delicious. They also have a nice allocated bourbon selection.
Second visit for us, perfect place for our anniversary, nice atmosphere, elegant, classy, food and service is outstanding!
We really enjoyed our dining experience. Food was delicious. Service was fantastic! Highly recommend this restaurant!
I treated my sister to a birthday lunch. We ordered two different salads and two different entrees and traded bites. Everything was exquisitely delicious. The restaurant is dark and quiet, perfect for having a conversation with a friend. We can't wait to return.
The food was excellent. Wait staff, Barbara, was always on spot. Keep wine poured, water filled, table cleaned, explained our meal selections and took great care of the birthday boy of 65yrs!!!
Great food, fantastic service. Try the Elk tenderloin, it is fantastic.
Service, atmosphere, and quality of food has moved Bonnell’s to the top of my list. The staff is educated on the products, and do not hesitate to seek answers for any unknowns.
I was really anticipating our first meal at Bonnell's, it was my wife's birthday and wanted to go to a special place. We made reservations on Open Table, and when we got there at least 30% of the tables were empty, yet we had to wait to be seated an additional 15 minutes for our table. When we did get our table we waited at least 10 minutes before we were greeted at our table, and then another 10 minutes to get our first drink. The Service never got better, the table near us was having similar experience. The Waitress appeared to only have two tables but was very inattentive. We ordered the Oysters Texafellar which was very good, then we waited again for our waitress to refresh our drinks. She finally came back right before our meals arrived and my wife and I both ordered a glass of wine. Her's showed up but mine showed up when I was finished with my meal. I just expected a lot better service, as for the food I had the Buffalo Tenderloin, it was very heavily peppered, which covered up much of the flavor. My wife had the Quail pasta with truffles and that was amazing. My Mother in law had the Chile Releno which was also very good. The service was such a turn off for an otherwise good meal. We all agreed after the meal that the service was very amateur, when we left our waitress was standing outside with another worker....that might explain why the service was so poor.
