This was our first time to dine at Bonnells'. This place has an upscale and pricy menu. But I have spent $125 for a meal before and did not enjoy the meal. That was not the case here. We had the caesar salad, soup of the day and the bison tenderloin. All were fantastic. My wife normally likes her steaks medium well but our waiter cautioned her to reconsider due to the richness of this steak. He said it is bet served medium rare. She changed her request to medium and it was perfect.
Our waited (Monc, I think) was outstanding and attentive. All in all, it was a perfect evening for us. Would highly recommend this place to anyone.
We had a great time celebrating my daughter's birthday. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The pecan crusted red fish and the bourbon buttermilk pie was to die for!
My wife and I make it a point to eat at Bonnell's a half dozen times a year. As Fort Worth residents, we applaud their delicious food and dedication to the larger community. And we always look forward to catching up with our favorite server, Barbara!
Fantastic food, exceptional service and we are supporting an independent restaurant owner and Fort Worth’s best chef, Jon Bonnell.
We were there to start a new tradition…to reclaim an old painful anniversary by making a new one. Everyone was so welcoming and attentive. And of course the food was outstanding! Perfectly cooked, crazy delicious and generous portions. Our waitress Jolene was exceptional and made our evening very special. #lucky13
We loved our recent experience at Bonnell’s. The food was fantastic, the service top notch, and the atmosphere was great.
Lovely evening and they provided dessert. Best crime brûlée I’ve ever eaten. Great drinks and atmosphere.
First time visit and it was delicious. Highly recommend!
Great place! We went for our anniversary and they gave us a complimentary dessert! The food was to die for. We will be back!!
Our server Mox was amazing, he was very attentive and answered any questions we had and offered alternative suggestions when we weren’t sure about something. The best dish we had was the spicy pumpkin soup which had the best flavor, and our cocktails were excellent. Overall unfortunately we found the rest of our food underwhelming and very under-seasoned… and maybe that’s just our personal taste palate. There wasn’t anything terrible in the way of being inedible by any means, just not the food experience we had hoped for. I can see why it’s a popular spot for the older crowd- nothing too fussy, great service, you don’t feel rushed… just don’t think it was a fit for us.
Food was outstanding. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Service was over the top.
Great dining experience, our server (Melanie) was outstanding. Definitely be returning and recommending Bonnell’s.
Wonderful experience. Will be back!
Another fabulous evening at Bonnell’s! We had the Oysters Texasfeller to start. Our Bison tenderloin was prepared exactly as we like it. Dessert was excellent as well. Our waiter, Garrett, was very friendly and attentive to our needs and preferences. We will be back soon.
Great food and excellent service in quiet atmosphere. Ask for Barbra as your server, she’s fantastic!
Food was excellent and the service was just as good, celebrated our anniversary and the staff took great care of us. We will be back again
Enjoyed a wonderful Anniversary dinner at Bonnell’s. Service was attentive and professional, food and drinks were top-notch, and ambience was delightful. We had elk tacos to start (fabulous. Some of the best elk I’ve had). I had the red fish and my date had the filet. Ended the night with a Fort Worth Old Fashioned and buttermilk pie. I wouldn’t change a single thing about anything we ate or drank — just absolutely the best of the best in Fort Worth.
Really relaxed dinner. Service just right, not rushed, but not waiting either. The bruschetta was a great choice to start. Perfect portion and very tasty.
We both had fish that was just wonderful.
Good Good Good
great food and service
Bonnell's always has the best food and service. The Bison Tenderloin is wonderful. The fresh okra out of their garden was excellent. Always a very enjoyable meal.
The service and food served at this restaurant were both fantastic! We had a wonderful waiter who was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Everything we ate we loved! From steaks, to sides, to soups, to desert, everything was wonderful! We will be back!
Bonnell's has been our favorite restaurant in all of DFW for years because the quality of the food and service is always outstanding, and the menu features excellent items not found at other restaurants. Fried quail legs appetizer cannot be beat!
Unique menu, highly trained and experienced wait staff, clean, comfortable table spacing, chef (John Bonnell) spent time in the room with diners. Not cheap, but well worth it for special occasions!
Wonderful from beginning to end. Great and professional service. Excellent food. Chef stopped by to great the diners. True class. We will definitely be back!
Wow! Outstanding food, quality service. We will be dinning here again
Great menu, found hair in my broccoli. Had to ask for bread. Waitress was slow. Did not explain food well. Ambiance was nice.
If you’re looking for a very nice restaurant for a special occasion, this is it! We’ve been coming to Bonnell’s for 4 years and every time we leave with great memories. Most of the servers have been there for years and they really “make it an experience”! The food, is always impressive! The grilled bison is sooo good. There are many meats offered here that are a rare delight like quail and elk. The crusted redfish is the best I’ve ever had and the grilled chicken dish has so many flavors you can’t get anywhere else.
Shrimp and grits appetizer was amazing. Red fish very fresh and well seasoned and prepared.
Stuffed poblano, filet and mixed grill were also delicious!
This was our first time dining at Bonnell’s, and it was the best food, wine, service, and ambiance we’ve had in Fort Worth. This place has become our new “spot.” Highly recommend!
Our daughter was in town and requested Bonnell’s. It is our favorite place as well. Food was excellent…bison, elk, and redfish all wonderful, and we were pleased that the Texas Bruschetta was back on the menu! Service was smooth and well-timed.
We had a wonderful anniversary dinner at Bonnell's. The food was amazing. We will definitely be going back.
Always great food, good wine choices, good service
We celebrated my wife's dinner at Bonnell's, our favorite Fort Worth restaurant, and everything was perfect. The food was excellent, our waiter was professional––attentive but unobtrusive––and we always appreciate the Bonnell's ambiance.
My sister and I went for our birthdays and had an awesome experience. The food and wine was, by far, the best I've ever had. I would also like to mention the staff was equally fantastic. We will definitely be coming back.
Everything is A+! The ambiance is dated, that is my only critique.
Our server was obviously trained in a dinner! She kept trying to take things from the table, without asking first, and before we were finished with them. Several times she would ask us a question and walk off before we had a chance to answer.
Bonnell's is a great business casual place in the Fort Worth area for fine dining. The food is wonderful -- creatively prepared and served. Unforgettable! The service is quintessentially Texan -- friendly and efficient. I heartily recommend Bonnell's!
Service and food was 100% on point. This is an outstanding dining experience.
It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious. The service was fabulous. I would highly recommend Bonnell’s to anyone. The atmosphere is very Ft Worth. I promise you will enjoy everything about this place.
Elk tenderloin is the best ever. Redfish is heavenly. Can’t go wrong with any choice.
