Wonderful waitress, great food and a perfect place to meet friends to share the experience. Because we were with friends, we talked more than looked at the menu and Sydney was a perfect waitress. She was attentive without hovering nor did she forget about us. Definitely a place to go back to.

Pretty good experience - food was excellent and waitress very attentive. The only problem was a couple small flies persistently bothered us through the meal. We were sitting inside at the back of the restaurant.

Everything we had was very good. The zucchini fries were perfect, and the Wood-Fyred Seafood Trio and Rotisserie chicken were phenomenal! There are also mini dessert mousse cups that are off menu and delicious.

We came to celebrate birthdays. We were greeted by our waiter with a smile on his face and happiness exuded from him. That was huge. The menu was excellent. Everyone was happy with their food selection. The portions were enormous. The mood, the waiter, the food, made for a really nice evening. We will be back again.

We ordered three items: ribeye steak which was excellent, walleye fish which was good, wood fire chicken which was a bit dry and very mediocre. Bon fryre is a good average restaurant but not in the upper bracket of Madison restaurants.

Great wait staff but 3 of 4 steaks came out over cooked resulting in two going back to kitchen and two individuals eating what was presented. With 6 at the table it’s hard to keep the atmosphere when four are eating and others waiting for dinner. Waiter commented that “this guy” always overcooks so it appears to be a known issue.

Very enjoyable experience while visiting Madison from out of town. Looked at Trip Advisor for recommendations and Bonfyre Grill caught my eye. So glad we went there for a romantic dinner. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, with tea lights on the tables. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Had cheese curd appetizer, which was greasy but tasty with siracha dip on the side. Then my husband had chicken Parmesan over alfredo pasta, and I had the mixed seafood grill (shrimp, scallops and salmon) over vegetable risotto, with a lemon caper sauce, which was delicious! Large portions, and had leftovers to take home. Topped it off with the caramel apple raisin bread pudding, which we were planning to take home, but ate half of it before we left because we could not resist it’s deliciousness. Our server Natalie was very attentive and sweet. Would definitely eat there again!

Our server Reagan was one of the best servers we’ve ever had. She made our Valentine’s night out incredibly special. The food was also wonderful. The lime salmon dish was incredible. We will definitely be back.

We had a nice time. This was our first dinner there in a long time, and it was just as pleasant as our first few years. Our server, Kevin, was very well presented, and he was clear, quick and timed his service perfectly. Our meals were perfect. I had sea food trio and my wife had jumbolia shrimp. Her shrimp was prepared better than mine, that could have been a little better but the scallops were prepared perfectly. It was nice to be back. The cost of the meal was perfectly balanced. We will be going back soon.

It’s been a while since we’ve been to Bonfyre American Grille, but our dinner was amazing! I really enjoyed the Ahi Tuna Salad - perfect amount of ahi tuna, dressing was very good! This is definitely going to be my new favorite salad. I also enjoyed the Blueberry Mojito. Will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu items!
