It was our first time dining here. WOW! The service was great and the food was phenomenal. One of the best Ahi Tuna salads I’ve ever consumed. Will definitely be returning and would highly recommend!

Service and food always excellent at Bonfyre. Food was served quickly and was amazing as usual!

Dinner with friends on Friday night. We were glad to see there were a lot of people at the bar and the restaurant. Every one was socially distanced and the staff were wearing masks and gloves.

Service was attentive and paced perfectly so we were never wanting. I highly recommend the house bourbon old fashioned. Hand made and very tasty. My friend is a rib fanatic and he says these are the best in Madison. Sweet sauced and falling off the bone tender served with fries and slaw. Morts pot roast was another hit. Very tender and flavorful roast served with tender crisp asparagus and carrots with a side of mashed potatoes. The last two dinners are steaks. My friend ordered the filet medium and I has the New York strip rare. Both steaks were well seasoned and prepared to perfection. Twice baked potato and the best green beans in town come with the steaks. Sorry no room for dessert.

I was so glad to see this place was open again. The tables were well spaced out and our server was delightful and attentive. She also seemed grateful to have the business. Menu seemed paired down (understandably!) but it still had a lot of excellent variety. Well done, Bonfyre!

It was our first time to restaurant. The ambiance is great, nice setting. Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly (Emily) and the food was delicious. Our calamari appetizer was outstanding!!

Finding a nice place during the current pandemic to have a lovely meal, be safe and be surrounded by comfort has become a chore.
Lovely, well prepared food, presented in an artistic, yet not presumptive manner that was absolutely delicious. Portions were large, which can be a very good thing when it’s so tasty. We were served by Boone, and he is clearly professional. Attentive, quick and precise, yet did not hover. Boone is exactly the type of server one wants on date night. Plus, he mixed a great French Martini!
All in all, don’t miss out on Bonfyre!

We have been to Bonfyre many times and always awesome. They are one of the best restaurants in Madison. The food and atmosphere are great.

My husband and I came to lunch yesterday to celebrate his birthday. The restaurant was calm and quiet, and our server Kevin was friendly and attentive. While we mourned the recent removal of the truffle fries from the menu, the Guinness-battered cheese curds were a tasty appetizer. The entrees, the miso salmon and chicken parm, were solid, and we enjoyed finishing our meal with the dessert mousses. We've been eating at Bonfyre for years, and absolutely love it, and will keep coming back for more!

Food was excellent, as it always is. I've yet to order an item that wasn't prepared well, flavorful and had a good presentation. Service is always good too.

Wow! This was my second time to Bonfyre and it was wonder! I had the half chicken with Brussels sprouts and bonfyre mash. SOOO GOOD. The rest of our party had steaks. All were delicious in flavor and cooked to perfection. Our server, Kevin, was VERY friendly and professional. He even helped my BF secretly paid for dinner to treat our guests (my parents). My dad is very hard to please when it comes to steak and he was thrilled with his meal. Service was fast too! And everything was served HOT. This was the best meal and experience we’ve had dining out since COVID hit. Thank you Bonfyre!!!

I used Open Table to book my reservation and Bonfyre was right on with providing us a table in a quiet spot so my friend and I could have a nice visit. Kevin, our waiter, provided excellent service. Food was delicious and we will definitely be back.

Our waitress was incredible! We love coming to Bonfyre! The Maytag potato chips were INCREDIBLE!! They had melted cheese and an amazing cheese sauce on top. Everything was delicious!! The butternut squash soup is the best soup that I have ever had! It is always a wonderful experience at Bonfyre!

We came here for our Anniversary. Early dinner so it was quiet and comfortable. The food is pricey but our meals were very good. The server was very nice as well.

It felt very safe to eat during Covid (seats spaced) and the staff was very accommodating of how we wanted to sit to be safe. Will be back!

The food was way not worth the money to me. I got the Thai chicken flatbread and it was probably the worst thing I’d ever eaten. The bread seemed like it was from the freezer and had been warmed up the the microwave. The chicken had no seasoning and the vegetables looked exactly like a salad you would buy in a bag at the grocery store. It even had the peeled carrots on it. For a cheaper place I would find these acceptable but for the price it was just not worth it at all. The Thai sauce and peanut sauce was very minimal. There was no spice and hardly and flavor.

I was on a first date, so I REALLY appreciate that the employees were willing to let us eat out on the patio. I was MUCH more comfortable doing that during this pandemic. No one else wanted to eat on the patio since it was in the high 50's/low 60's, but I very much appreciate how willing they were to accommodate us. Service was top notch as always. I was disappointed that you did not have calamari available since it has been highly recommended to me by my son, but that means I will just need to make it back to your lovely establishment sometime soon.

My husband and I go to Bonfyre often for date night and we were thrilled that they have reopened. Their staff made us feel comfortable and were conscious and practicing social distancing and were wearing masks but not hyper about it as so many other restaurants are at this time. Food was good and portion sizes were perfect. Our martinis were a bit on the small side but overall it was a great evening!

Flatbread's great, but never had anything bad there.

Food was excellent. The server was a little inattentive; their table assignment by server seemed odd. He would be gone for long stretches at a time.

The pot roast and butternut squash soup are both outstanding. The ahi tuna salad used to be a favorite and while good, not as good as it used to be. The service was generally solid, though water was not refilled during the meal. Items are on the slightly higher side but flavor makes up for that. Definitely recommend.

My partner wanted to bring me here for so long, we finally went and it did not disappoint! My curry chicken was delicious, I ate it all which I rarely do when I eat out!

Father’s Day

Service was excellent, food was awesome and the restaurant overall was great! Love this place.

This was an excellent choice for us to celebrate some birthdays and an anniversary. We have eaten at Bonfyre several times before, and the quality of the dinners was as excellent. Our server, Ty, was friendly, helpful, available if needed, and prompt, without hovering over us (I hate that!).

We went out at the start of this difficult time of business closures during the Covid-19 pandemic, so the dining room was not as full as a usual Saturday night. However, there was still a decent amount of guests dining, and still the noise level was quite manageable.

This is a place I would recommend to anyone celebrating a special occasion or looking for a date night experience. The food is good, the menu has a nice selection without being overwhelming, and they change some of their menu items on a regular basis to acknowledge seasonal changes. I hope you get Ty as your server! He was the best.

I love this place! Best Saturday and Sunday brunch in town and no crowds to fight.

Our latest visit was not as good as some we have had. We had table for 6, and they put is parallel to, and to the side and in front of the kitchen, so quite a lot of light glare in half of our eyes. My rotisserie chicken, unfortunately, was a bit overdone and therefore dry - I have had better there. Others in our group really liked the food, though.
