HAVE NEVER HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE. THIS TIME AROUND THOUGH I HAD REQUESTED TO BE SEATED IN AN AREA A FRIEND OF OURS WORKS AND THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. NORMALLY WHEN I REQUEST THIS MAKING THE RESERVATION WE ARE ALWAYS SEATED IN HIS AREA. NOT A BIG DEAL BUT I WOULD HAVE RATHER SAT IN HIS SECTION.
Really good cheese curds and ribs! The staff was friendly and the service good.
Best fried cheese curds I ever had. I need to return for another batch soon!
Great food and service. At the top of our favorite list.
Really enjoyed the wait staff, very personable and a pleasure. Food was tasty, the steak was extremely tender and I really enjoyed it. I will return when in the area.
The three tenderloin medallions which my husband ordered had two that were not very tender he said. Myself and the other two at the table enjoyed our meals very much.
Our waitress was very attentive and gave us the time we needed to study the menu and enjoy our drinks then order.
I had asked for a table near the wine lockers where it is quieter and that request was granted and we all appreciated it.
online reservations are slick; table was ready with special request for seating of people with hearing loss. The high backed booths are wonderful in this regard.
Server arrived quickly though party felt a bit rushed to order drinks/food on top of each other. Otherwise, once that person understood our tempo overall good experience.
The wedge steak salad with vegetable variety was outstanding!
We had a coupon...otherwise overpriced for the amount of food you get. Kids meals, very expensive!
The food would have been a good value if it were good. It was mediocre. You need to hire a chef not a cook. Everything else was great!
We started with an order of cheese curds. The curds were good but I expected more for $10.00. The clam chowder soup was very good and not fishy. The Caesar salad on the menu is grilled and excellent. Unfortunately the one they served us was not grilled. Since it was a long time between waitress visits we just ate it w/o sending it back. Very disappointing. Two of us had ribs which are fall off the bone tender. The sauce is very sweet and it would have been nice if it was served on the side. The ribs come with Asian salad and fries. The fries were overly salted. The risotto and shrimp enchiladas were also very good. The house crafted cocktails are excellent.
The restaurant tends to be very noisy so I always request to be seated in a quiet area and they always accommodate us.
Amazing ambience and great service but the food was nothing to rave about and extremely overpriced. If it was 30 dollars less a plate I would rate the quality appropriate
We recently entertained a group of 8 people ranging in age from 10 to 80 years old. Everyone found something they enjoyed for dinner and said their food was excellent. +++ on the crostini appetizers.
We've always had good food and service at the Bonfyre Grill
Disappointed they charged $4.00 extra for “rocks”......without telling us
It was our first time there and a birthday celebration
The food and service here was top notch as usual. Only criticism is the noise level. Very hard to hear with all the hard surfaces. Next time we will request a booth.
Huge menu. Everything is always wonderful!
We were seated promptly in a booth, as we requested. Drink orders were taken and delivered expeditiously and all were very good. Food was served in a timely fashion, but all three of my dining companions who ordered the walleye immediately commented that it had been overcooked. I ordered the mixed grill and although the beef and ribs were fine, the chicken was also a tad overdone and dry. Check for the four of us, including all drinks and tax, was almost exactly $200, plus tip.
We were out of town visitors who selected Bonfyre when looking for a good local restaurant without running downtown. Bonfyre is quite good, especially if you like wood-fired grill items which are their specialty. We're light eaters and shared a delicious seafood dinner- which was delicious. Service was excellent and the restaurant was relatively quiet which made it nice for conversation.
Our server was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our food was delivered quickly and it was delicious. I had the zucchini fries and they were exceptional! I will recommend the Bonfyre to others and I will be returning again.
Good food, good service! Seated at the time we reserved. Nothing negative at all.
Friends tell me that their dinner experiences have been great, but for Sunday brunch, it was average food at an expensive price.
Bonfyre is very close to our office building so we frequently do business lunches here and are never disappointed.
The food is delicious and they update their menu regularly so it never gets old. The Cauliflower/Prosciutto pasta is my new absolute favorite (had it 2x in a week!) but we've tried just about everything on the menu and loved it all.
The wait staff are always friendly and professional. They're a bit laid back so it can sometimes take a little longer to get done - sometimes we've gone up to 1hr & 25min from seat time to a paid bill, but we usually have 6-8 people so its understandable.
We enjoy the slow pace, but for anyone that needs to hit a timeline, you should probably set the expectation when you get seated, especially if you have a larger seating party like we do.
Once again, friends from out of town raved about how great our evening was at Bonfyre. Food was superb. The new bacon wrapped shrimp were impressive. Beautifully cooked. The service was excellent. We are so happy to have a place like this to bring our friends to. Keep up the great work!
Enjoyed everything very much. Our companions were a little put off by the $12 drinks for Madison. My ribs were superb.
My friend and I had a very nice lunch recently. She had a salad and I had the grilled shrimp. Both were excellent. We were in a booth and we were able to have a nice conversation. The service was just right - not too often but just enough care. Your menu is varied and I can always try something new. My friend needed some substitutions for health issues and they were graciously accepted. Price is a little higher than other restaurants but then you pay for quality and I don't have a problem with that at all.
Fabulous! Needed a lunch to impress. Everyone ordered something different, and everyone was very pleased with their meal! We were able to sit and eat at our leisure. Service was impeccable.
Delicious meals and friendly, attentive service. We'll be back!
This was our first visit. We started with an order of the crostini. It was wonderful. Our entries were jambalya and the grilled shrimp. They were both satisfactory, but not outstanding. Probably will return again to try other items on the menu. Service was prompt and very good. Noise level was fine. All-in-all a very pleasant visit.
Great meal! I had blackened salmon and my husband had the filet mignon. Both were excellent. This was truly the best salmon I've ever had in a restaurant (I cook salmon at home and am very fussy about it). Also excellent service!! We are definitely going to be frequent customers!
Always treat our family well! Great service, food and drinks as always.
Everything was excellent.
Ribs were fabulous. Drinks excellent.
Great neighborhood gem
A trained wait staff makes all the difference. The blackened salmon and shrimp risotto were excellent as was the overall ambiance. We will definitely return
Simone was our server and she was exceptional! Very pleasant and attentive to us. Very friendly and great follow up! Food was great and very tasty. Beautiful restaurant!
We were there on a Monday so the noise level was not bad. On busier nights it can be quite loud. The food was delicious and generous portions.
Enjoyed our Father's Day brunch at Bonfyre American Grill. The food and drinks were enjoyed by all of us and the portions were huge!
Charred caesar salad and beer battered cheese curds were really, really good.
Wallet advertised was frozen not fresh.
We went for a lunch on Friday. It was not crowded as it was one of the first beautiful days this year. I had the chicken curry which was very good. The food tasted fresh and made from scratch. My husband had the beet and berry salad and said it was wonderful! The dressing did not overpower and it had plenty of large berries on it.
