Everything was WAY too salty (Brussels , fries etc) Kobe donuts looked microwaved and tasted bad. Burger was meh. Not convinced the bun was gluten free either. Overall very disappointing/expensive birthday meal which I was looking forward to.
Chef owner who cares about food. Best wine list I have ever seen for a good barbeque joint. That said, the non-barbeque items, even the salads, were first rate. Oh, and half price bottles of wine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I will be back, for sure!
I ordered the Barbecue Chicken (breast and wing) and Brisket combination; the breast was relatively small and dry, and the few strips of brisket were also dry. Additionally, I ordered collard greens as the side; and, though the waiter assured me they would not be spicy, they were, and I couldn’t eat them. Overall, this $24 meal was poor.
Our appetizer was very salty salty. We had to drink water to wash it down. Then we ordered beef rib and it came with almost no meat on the bone and again way too salty. Not worth the money. We will not be going back.
Food has gone downhill. My prime rib sandwich has no flavor.
I've been here before and it was good enough that we came this last visit.
Service was decent, but 3 of 4 got waters which never were refilled. My soda was refilled twice tho.
My baby back ribs were super dry; previously they were fine, but they were just incredibly dry. My mom's salad also lacked dressing. My fiancee's St Louis ribs were great & moist at least.
We would have gotten dessert, but by this point we just wanted to go.
Sadly, I won't be back.
For comfort food in the big city this is the place to go.
How do we get great bbq drippings off my shoe?
1)My wife’s entrée (fish and French fries) came out room temperature
2)I ordered prime rib melt – stupid me, thinking that this $26 entrée would be a nice piece of prime rib with chees melted on it – interesting concept. What I got was a $26 Phila Cheesesteak! I sent it back and ordered beef ribs – they have very little meat on them and were overly salty!
Service was just ok. Ambiance was nice.
Food was pretty bad. Onion rings were mushy and inedible.. Ribs were terrible! Never going back! Wood Ranch much better...
It was a slow night because of the rains so the noise level was lower than normal, a nice change. The kitchen is always consistent and fast. I always enjoy coming here to catch up with friends.
Not my choice of the get together restaurant and food & service was okay. Some enjoyed more than others.
Not what I expected. Food ok too noisy. Lots of kids
Food was great! Server was the best! Our only complaint was the noise level and we were seated near the outdoor dining area so we were very cold the whole time. We would have stayed longer to enjoy our evening except for these two issues.
Dont think about sitting around after you finish dinner, they wil hover over you until you leave. Our server was good but at one point a guy came over and took our glasses of water and completely cleared the table, we weren’t done yet! Parking is horrible, they do have valet. The owner of the valet service is very rude, he was yelling at his employees as if they were children. I will not come back.
Good food, good service. I am required to write at least 50 characters here!
Decent texas-style barbecue with wet and dry options. Nothing fancy, kitchen items were more promising on the page than they were on the table and the food was merely average. Good atmosphere for group dining and enjoyable enough, though I would not recommend it for exceptional dining nor do I plan on returning. Service was slightly above average with a very friendly and attentive wait staff all around. Overall, average.
Martini great 5 star.
Baby-back ribs 5 star.
St Louis Ribs 3star (dry but delicious)
Noise level much too loud. Couldn’t talk easily.
Wait staff 5 star.
New Year’s eve, expected a zoo and slow service. Was pleasant,y surprised by the excellent organization of the crew at Boneyard, they were more than ready for the event evening and it was fantastic, as always. Roll me home.
Great food and great service!
We used to come here frequently, but stopped coming because the venue is noisy. We came back because they have a nice wine list with an excellent selection of Zinfandels. They have quite good barbeque as well. The dining area is very casual, and noisy. Service is good in an unobtrusive way and the waiters are helpful.
Tuesday and Wednesday most wines by the bottle are 1/2 price. Some of the rarer wines, like many of the Carlisle Zins are 25% off. At 1/2 price, the wine are about the same as retail.
This is a fun place if you don't care about conversing. The background noise is pretty loud.
Will return to try again
Delicious barbecue, looking forward to going back!
Made reservations yet had to wait for a table, when there were 2 tables available. The wedge salad had way too much dressing and the ribs were fair. Wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.
The food and service were phenomendal! I will definitely be back. One of my new favorites.
If you like ribs....this place is for you! Sides are good, too. This cuisine is expensive.
Server was terrific. Food was good. Will return.
It was pretty good! The food was delicious and it had an interesting menu. The only thing I'd say is that it was pricey for what i got/the presentation. I ordered a half pound of the tritip and it was literally like 7 slices of meet on a giant plate with some bbq sauce in a ramekin and 3 fried mac & cheese bites in the corner. it was more plate than i knew what to do with. if you're going to stick to that presentation of food (which to be entirely honest...not that great to look at) then at least get plates that match that portion sizing.
Great food and fantastic service!
Very good food, but seemed a bit pricey for what we were getting.
Meat (pulled pork and beef ribs) was served ice cold. The 'free appetizer' bread was cold and dry.
Decent service, but too pricey. Food was not delicious. Sadly, I can't recommend this place in the future.
We had the Brisket & Tri Tip and both were on point. Sides tasted great were a fair size too. Valet parking right outside the door made it easy. Definitely will be going back.
Boneyard Bistro is always consistently wonderful and delicious. The staff is fantastic, the food is top notch, and the cocktails are inspired. Boneyard is one of the few restaurants that I will gladly return to again and again and again.
The food was great but our waiter had to be asked to refill our drinks several times. Also, it took a long time to receive our check.
Boneyard never disappoints. Not only is the bbq exceptional, so are the other items on the menu. The trout is delicious.
Food and service were fantastic! Great place!
We arrived and were seated in the dining room, not the bar and there was a large family with 3 youngsters who were about 2 or 3 years old. They were really loud, banging silverware on the table, so we moved to a porch area. Dinner was good, we had dry rub ribs baby back and beef, both were good. I had, mine with baked beans and cold slaw and my husband ordered battered onion rings which were a high light. He had a house Pinot that he said was good. I had the cactus cooler which was wonderful.
Seats were not that comfortable but we enjoyed the food. Not sure we will return!
Simply stated... DELICIOUS. But the review wants me to write more. So, YUMMILICIOUS.
I ordered my BBQ ribs and sausage wet, but they were served with sauce on the side. The booth spaces are limited. The quality of the food was good, but the beans and cole slaw were too minced. The beans were a little cold, too, but edible and the portions were large. The Ventura Blvd. location, though, was a plus.
Always excellent for everyone from grandpa to toddler. Beef ribs or ribeye are the best. And save room for dessert!
