My wife and I were looking for Italian while in Sharon and Bon Caldo came up highly rated in a Google search, with moderate prices. The food was great. We were not disappointed.

Very good wine list - both broad and deep although the wine brought to the table was much younger than indicated in the list and the waitress' response was "take it or leave it." Food was disappointing. Swordfish was dry and tasteless. Vegetables were uninteresting. Burrata salad was floating in balsamic.

I have had the same experience twice at Bon Caldo (actually with the same server). We used to frequent Bon Caldo, but have found that it has gone down in quality. I ordered Chichen Marsala and when the waitress asked how it was, I said "salty, but I guess its ok". She didn't ask anything more and when I brought it up at the end she said it was my fault because I said it was ok. Not ok to ask if there's anything she could do. Sorry< Joe but two times is unacceptable.

We come every weekend, North end Italian but in Norwood. Go, you won’t be disappointed.

My dish was cold when served. I requested a reheat and it came back cold again. Everyone agreed the entrees were mediocre at best.

Just Meh.... We started off with salads which were pretty good. I had noticed that only one fork was set at the table, which I used for my salad. I left my dirty fork and knife in my salad plate so that it could be taken away and I could be given clean silverware for my main course. It was taken away but I had to ask for clean silverware before our next course arrived.
We were a table of 2 and the busboy put the incorrect dishes down in front of us. It just really bothers me that waitstaff/busboys aren't properly trained to bring the correct entree to the correct customer. I ordered the veal picatta which was breaded (that was interesting as a classic picatta is not breaded). Very little sauce came with it and certainly not the typical tangy lemon/white wine sauce that you expect from a good picatta. I was not impressed and do not plan to return. I would not call this authentic Italian.

We went with our family for Mother’s Day brunch. The food was just okay. A lot of the hot food was dry. The roast beef was good. It was expensive. They added a 20% tip to the bill which is too much for a buffet with little table service.

The service was excellent but the food was average. The calamari appetizer was excellent but the veal oscar was dry and the sauce was disappointing. The potatoe side with the steak was also not good . Nice experience overall but food was not as good as previous vists

Like many other reviews, I found this restaurant mediocre at best. The food was mediocre, the service was mediocre although the server was very nice. The food I found, was quite bland – so did the friends that I was dining with. There are many better restaurants out there than this one.

This was our attempt to get a head start on our Mothers' Day dinner by going there the Saturday evening before. The taste of our meals was really very good. But we were disappointed that our scallops were pretty cool as compared to our hot risotto. We are giving Bon Caldo a pass because of the date of our visit. Previous to this, we always really enjoyed our food, drinks & dessert. We will still recommend it to friends!

Exceptional menu choices from appetizers to desserts. Friendly and attentive service. Quick clearing of empty plates, and replenishing of silverware . Timing for presenting various courses was perfect. Food temperatures were ideal......Hot dishes were nice and hot and cold choices were cold.
Handicapped parking and ramped entrance were clearly visible and seating was respectful for wheelchair dependent customer. Open Door reservation worked seamlessly.
We will definitely return.

This is really one of our favorite restaurants. The food is very consistently good, I can't remember having anything I didn't like. It is our go to special occasion place, and we dined there for a celebration. I ordered the papardelle, which is outstanding. My only suggestion is that I would like to see a little more variety between visits - they usually have one entree special and have kept the same menu for a long time. Good food good service each time.

I was surprised at how reasonably priced the menu was. I brought my 5 teenage children for a birthday and everyone of us enjoyed our meal, atmosphere and service. I will definitely return.

I ordered the potato crusted haddock and since I love fish I thought this would be great for me but it had a weird after taste. The waiter reported back to me that the chef told him the fish was fine but that it did have a sweet ginger sauce on it. I guess that just wasn’t for me I did not like it at all. They did offer to give me something else and wife had veal Oscar which she liked. My dad did not like the braised beef. I don’t know why. All in all I would say be careful on food selection.

Service was great; attentive. I had the Brasato which was braised short ribs with polenta. Overall it was good but the short ribs were a bit overdone. Everyone at my table liked the food.

Great service with friendly servers. Awesome deserts! Entrees were mostly delicious. My boneless ribs were a little over cooked, but my experience was so good otherwise that I will be back.

That was the most disappointing brunch experience my daughter and I have ever had. Extremely overcrowded, food was poorly prepared and by the time we returned to the table cold and congealed. The server at one point literally through my cutlery on the table along with some sloppy food in order to grab my plate and walked away. Outrageously expensive for the worst dining experience we have ever had.

The menu listed a glass of wine as 6.50 and we were charged 7.50, asked for a glass of house white and paid for LaCrema. Just a little bit of a scam! It was a bit busy but to notice that if you're drinking, you're waited on is not the best feeling in the world for a customer who is also paying for a night out.
We won't be going back.

Great little find for dinner. Food was good with all of the usual Italian specialties available. Great taste. Served hot. Friendly staff.

Only draw back was that dinner arrived about 3 minutes after the appetizer hit the table. Bad timing on the waitress or the kitchen? Be sure you tell them not to rush or pace the courses for full enjoyment.

We would return and give it a second shot.!

Took 20 minutes for our server to come (after we asked another server who was serving us). Server apologized but still didn’t pay much attention at all... checked in to ask how we were doing and went to walk away when I had to ask if we could put our orders in. I ordered a meal with GF pasta and it came with regular pasta... good thing I knew the difference otherwise it could have ended poorly for me. Someone else delivered it and I had to wait another 5-10 minutes before I even saw our server again to alert him of the mistake, to which he said it was GF until I reminded him the GF version was Penne and this clearly was not and then he agreed and offered to have it made it again... by that time I needed to get it to go as our infant daughter was reaching her limit. Had to then ask to have the meal comped instead of that being offered which I think should have happened proactively given the mistake being a pasta that could have caused me illness.

We’ve had other good experiences here but this one was pretty awful... unfortunately bad enough that we will reconsider coming again because it was not worth the trip/money to end up eating luke warm pasta at home later and not good enough the other times to roll the dice.

We really enjoy coming here and the food is fabulous. The appetizers are interesting and tasty. The entrees are consistently good. We always save room for desserts. The cocktails and wines are very enjoyable.

First time dining at this restaurant. After reading the menu and others reviews, I was excited about this place. The service and food was fantastic. I would highly recommend others to dine here.

We had a Cesar Salad and the dressing was creamy and well-balanced. Note that side salads are big enough to share between two. The Fried Mozzarella tastes like little crunchy puffs of air - so delicious. Braised short ribs pappardelle was delicious, with tender ribs and clearly homemade pasta. The fact that it was a bit heavy handed on the truffle oil and the pasta was a little stuck to itself didn't detract from it's yumminess. Veal Marsala was tender and delicious, though a bit disappointing in the lack of amber in the sauce - left to wonder a bit whether it was marsala after all. Cocktails were well mixed and tasty! Our chocolate mousse for dessert was a bit of chocolate mouse around a very large ball of whipped cream (we surmise not mixed properly). Our waiter was fine - not particularly attentive or friendly, which was odd given that there were only three tables filled on the night before an expected nor'easter.

Food and ambiance great. Server was very nice and helpful... just took a while to be approached by anyone when we were seated. Then our food took a little more time than necessary. But that being said, we weren't rushed through courses. Overall wonderful experience.

Bon Caldo never disappoints. I haven't been in some time, but found the food, the service and the cocktails to be just as good as ever! Highly recommend for traditional Italian fare!

Had a wonderful dinner with friends. There were eight of us & were lucky enough to get a private room. It was fantastic. We were able to have a great conversation without worrying if we were talking to loud and disturbing other patrons. And as usual the food was terrific. Our waitress was very helpful (and patient) in helping us select the perfect wine and appetizers. We each had different entrees and enjoyed them all. I had the salmon and would highly recommend it. BonCaldos never disappoints!!
