    I wish the menu choices were more diverse, like what you offered pre-Covid. Would like something other than oriental offered though it was good.

    If it wasn’t for the incredible city lights view of LA this would have been a near zero rating. Many open tables with an unrealistic wait for seating and service (hire more help?). Cocktails decent but overpriced. Lastly, we ordered three appetizers (a 4th was unavailable). All three were terrible. Ice cold potstickers that appeared to be microwaved. Edamame that clearly came from a frozen bag. And crab lettuce wraps that lacked flavor. In a nutshell, come for the view, but don’t order food or any drinks more complex than a beer.

    Our Host, Elsie was great, professional and very efficient. It was our first time visiting and she provided us with the more tasty and favorite items to try. Will come back and bring family and friends.

    This review is based on our reservation experience. We never got to experience the lounge itself. We made a reservation for 11:45pm Friday night, and our reservation somehow got cancelled shortly before our reservation time. We already drove all the way out to the lounge, so we tried to check if any reservation is available still. We were able to get another reservation for 12:00AM, so we thought everything was fine and didn't freak out. We paid for valet parking and tried to go to the lounge just to find out that the lounge had closed early that day without prior notice. It was very upsetting that the lounge would just close early without letting people with a reservation know first.

    Not impressed at all. For starters after arriving for the reservation we were told the revolving feature was shut down and not operating that day. Big disappointment. Decided to suck it up and try out some of the food and have a couple of drinks. Ordered the chicken potstickers…they were actually cold inside. Ordered the crab lettuce wraps and it tasted like canned imitation crab. Ordered the salmon and it was very bland. The Thai chicken wings were the only decent item. It wasn’t that crowded but service was lacking. Our waiter was handling too many tables and we couldn’t get his attention on several occasions. Definitely not recommending them for their food.

    Go here for the experience! The turning view (we went all the way around once during dinner) can't be beat! The food was fairly mediocre. The seafood platter was small, the oyster shooters were rubbery, and the spring rolls were completely bland with the sauce. The pork belly bao were pretty good.

    We enjoyed the city view rotation. Drinks were great. The survey requires you to enter a rating for food, however, we did not eat at the lounge. If the food is anything like LA Prime, I'm sure it's delicious. My only negative note would be the noise. There were a number of booths open and yet we were seated next to a large loud group. As this was our first visit and we had to make reservations, I didn't request to be moved. Next time I will. I still highly recommend going.

    Great service, nice quiet and relaxing ambiance on a early Sunday evening. Drinks where very good. Food selection was limited but good. Would definitely go back soon. Had not been back to the Lounge in over 10 years.

    Lived in LA since 1986 and this was our first visit to the Bonaventure. Architecture of the hotel and the film history of the place is off the charts and totally worth the trip. But, the Lounge is sub-par. Food is a nice attempt, but very over priced. For the quality of the food, it would be overpriced at half the price! Noodles served cold (was supposed to be a hot dish) and the crab in the lettuce wraps was terrible. Teriyaki wings were great, but the pork belly bao were a bust. On top of the sub-par food was very, very slow service. Waiter was nice, but was ridiculously slow. We rarely saw him and the place was practically empty. There are other options for dining with a view of LA, so we will try them next time.

    Food potions are tiny quality of food needs improvement. There are only two choices for vegetarians Mee options would be good. Jaime was excellent waiter

    Booked early in the day to enjoy dinner and drinks after our show so made the reservation for 11pm. Received a message at intermission that the kitchen closed at 10:15, exactly when the show would let out. So, instead of eating before the show, we had to scramble to find delivery post show since nothing near the hotel was open. We did try the place while we waited for delivery. The restaurant was very chilly. I had a sweater on and it wasn't enough. My downtown margarita was pretty but didn't taste like it had any alcohol in it. My companion ordered a Bud Light but the waitress brought out a Bud. We gave up and cashed out at that point.
