Attentive service, good food selections. However a few customers were a little noise.
Breathtaking! Food was delish! Our server was accommodating! The host upon arrival was friendly, after dinner host (replaced the other) not so much :/
Legendary views, an entire team of staff members eager to serve, delicious filet mignon and drinks and a gnarly, sofisticated, futuristic and yet classy and almost surreal atmosphere make for an evening you'll thoroughly enjoy and will keep dreaming of it after!
First time coming here, and everything was great!!!
Wonderful place that I booked at the last minute to enjoy a beautiful view of our LA surroundings! We ordered a mai tai, a rosé wine, and a Reisling for drinks. We also ordered the cheese plate and shrimp cocktail dish!
I was celebrating my 39th Birthday. The staff was a bit snappy and seemed impatient when people had questions regarding the menu. The food was excellent as were the drinks. Excellent views of Downtown Los Angeles and the valet parking was very reasonable. Overall nice time.
I can’t say enough about the help I received from Duke, the general manager. I explained we were celebrating a special occasion and our table was terrific. The whole evening was perfect for our 41st anniversary celebration. Thank You
Excellent service, quiet atmosphere, great tasting food.
Great place to catch a good view of the DTLA skyline.
Great place for a date
Absolutely delightful and unique dining experience while enjoying a beautiful high up view of the Downtown LA skyline. Very helpful and pleasant staff. Filet Mignon was truly awesome.
Extremely pricey for below average entree meal
Would go for a drink only again
The place looks like what it looked like in the 80s- it gives you and old school feel. Beautiful views and good food.
This was quite an experience and a repeat visit for us with our grandchildren. The view is spectacular and the service was outstanding, all of which made a most memorable occasion for all of us!
The ambiance, service and the city views were amazing. Food could be better. Drinks are on the higher end but are made very well. Not at all skimpy with the liquor. I would definitely go back for drinks, appetizers and to enjoy the city view and of course to say hello to our friendly waiter Javier. I would skip the dinner though.
Visiting Downtown Los Angeles. Wanted a great view. Hotel needs better signage to get to Bonavista.
It was my 26 year anniversary and my wife was so excited from the fast ride up the elevator to the revolving lounge and our waiter was awesome. Thank you for making me and my wife feel like rock-stars.
The food and drink selections are really poor. This place could be an amazing downtown hang out but the quality is really low. The wine list is VERY low end with only a few choices. Nothing imported except for Prosecco. Not even a champagne option. The food list is mediocre bar food. Not worth the money at all.
It’s a fun view but that’s the only reason to go. Overpriced and under valued. 2 cocktails and 3 appetizers was $85.
Was able to make last minute reservations while staying at the hotel as a guest. It was not very busy so we were able to be seated right away and against the window. While the spinning is not so slow that you don't realize it, it's also not fast enough that you feel it. Your view changes as you sit and it's fun to have the city view change without having to move. Drinks are priced about average for hotels, and the menu is a bit limited (though I do think they let you order from the LA Prime menu if you'd like a full meal). Two cocktails and a shared dessert was 65.00 before tip.
Always a treat to eat and drink here.
Good service. A bit loud but overall romantic.
Was the most beautiful view and great service we enjoy our dinner drinks and hotel was the best service as well , can’t wsit for back soon
We really enjoyed our time there...Will return soon
My first time here and i loved it.. food was excellent and our server was wonderful
amazing, everything about this place was amazing.
it was amazing. if you have a date you are trying to impress, look no further.
The service is good, but for aome reason, we always get a bad table, by thw time we recolve to the dwntwn view, were ready to leave
The restaurant has amazing views and the seats are comfortable. Ambiance is right. Lighting is perfect and romantic. The downfall is the price of the food. To start, they give you chex mix in a cup instead of the traditional bread that most restaurants give. I ordered the ceasar salad and empanadas starter. Not impressed and they were $18 each. My husband ordered the salmon. It was $56 and it doesn't even come with sides. He liked it though. Over all we had a very nice experience but we probably wont be going back. It was a one time thing to experience the revolving lounge. Been there done that. After spending $180 here. We were ready to go eat. Lol. Please do go experience it at least once for yourself. Maybe have a drink or 2. The drinks start at $18 fyi.
Overall experience was great, just needs more options of food in the lounge.
Service and location were great. Ambiance was sullied by crying babies and overall noise of the restaurant. Food was good just could do better on the side salad we got with our steaks. Drinks were awesome.
Appalling food. A restaurant that relies on its gimmick (revolving) which is no reason to go to a restaurant. It felt like a cheap diner but the prices were Michelin Star. Seriously bad experience. It was revolting and revolving.
Fantastic view. Great service.
Really over priced and watered down drinks. I was very disappointed
Brought my girlfriend here for a special night out and I must say I made an excellent choice. I actually booked a reservation at the Bonavista on a whim because I the original restaurant I chose was overbooked. Awesome views of the city skylines. You can't feel the restaurant rotate so don't be worried about motion sickness. The only thing that I didn't like was the limited menu and choice of sides. However, the food was delicious and prepared exactly how we ordered. I recommend the filet mignon. The restaurant is pricy, but worth the money.
I had a great valentine day
Are you KIDDING ME?
There was a "special" INCREDIBLY LIMITED menu designed for the night we dined there...but when they called to confirm our reservation, they made NO mention of this. NOTHING. Not only that, but the prices were EXORBITANT! 2 apps + 2 entrees + 2 cocktails: $307.00!!!!! They were MUCH HIGHER than what was posted on their online menu, which constitutes bait & switch in my eyes.
While we ordered our food and drinks we asked for some bread while we waited for our apps. No bread. Asked again. No bread. Finally, the third time we asked, our waitress told us she had "to go upstairs for bread", whatever that means.
Our appetizers arrived but we were never given forks, knives, spoons or napkins. Had to ask two people to make it happen!!!!
No salt. No pepper. Had to ask. At this point, our appetizers are getting lukewarm.
My guest was in the middle of eating his appetizer when a server came by and TOOK HIS PLATE OUT FROM UNDER HIM!!!!!! He said "I'm not finished with that yet!" and the server smiled awkwardly and slid his entree in front of him event though HE WASN'T FINISHED WITH HIS APPETIZER!!!
18% gratuity for the 2 of us was included in our bill, even though the service was TERRIBLE. They did NOT deserve anywhere NEAR 18%. They took an unfinished plate from us!!!!!
At the end of this terrible meal, we told the hostess we wanted to speak to the manager. We waited. And waited. And waited. No manager. Nothing. Not even an apology from the hostess about not being able to produce a manager for us. When we left, we said 'Goodbye. We're leaving." and she just waved and smiled "Goodbye."
Save yourselves the disappointment of this dinner trap. Go to a place where the manager has the balls to come out and face a customer that has been mistreated and robbed.
It's a beautiful lounge but the food wasn't that great. The hummus was delicious but I got the half chicken with asparagus but it was literally only 1 asparagus chopped up and my husband got the filet mignon and it was left out too long that it was dry on the outside
This is such a gem. The drinks are delicious, and the energy is great! Will definitely be back.
We celebrated my daughter turning Twenty-One! Enjoyed fancy cocktails and flatbreads.
Service extremely slow. Ambience - looks tired. Only the food and view were good. Not worth when compared to places like the CN Tower in Toronto. Will not recommend to anyone
