Great Service. Wish the menu was more vast. Enjoyed the view. Great ambiance.
Horrible service, expensive food, and food was not good. For a $24 Caesar chicken salad it was plain and the chicken tasted like it was out of a can.
Great service, great view! Wonderful place to sit have drink and enjoy some food!
If you just looking for a place to get a few drinks it's ok but for dinner I wouldn't recommend it
Steak was overcooked. Bread was kind of soggy.
Seafood platter !!! What a treat. Perfectly paired with a nice bottle of champagne.
We loved it!
All for scenery perfect night was this past Monday not crowded at all.
Loved the view and cocktails. Nice professional service staff.
Go for the food and view. The food was a major pass, fries tasted freezer burned and food was reminiscent of hospital food. + Server nearly botched my proposal!
The food was not worth the price point, not to mention they ran out of food! The menu was not pre-fixe but it should have been. The only thing appealing about the lounge was the view.
Very disappointed in this New Years Eve. Atmosphere was OK. Not very well organized. Music was poor.
DJ was not happening. No excitement what so ever. We expected things to be more festive. No preparation for the count down to the new year. Employees were rushing around trying to get the champagne out to every one. The food was over priced. I guess they were doing their best but we'd not recommend this to anyone.
New Years was the occasion.
There were not enough food choices for someone wanting to not eat meat. The Main Entree choices were Streak and two seafood options Bass and a shrimp pasta.
Initially i asked about what other choices they had. And the waiter suggested I could have hummus or a salad. Honestly i was dumbfounded by the suggested that i have hummus and bread for my entire meal. Even the salad choices had meat.
I requested to have pasta without meat. But it took 30 minutes for my order to be taken. A lot of confusion over what could be done.
Celebrating New Year’s Eve dinner with the family, overlooking downtown skyline. Service is so-so, sea bass was great and loved their pina colada mocktails.
Great! Hot toddy! Night View is spectacular!
Tourist trap. Very overpriced. There is a charge to split dishes, so after I told the waiter this was ridiculous and after he agreed with me, he stopped talking to us. No dishes were cleared, no drinks offered. We were brought bread plates on which to split our $72 steak. If you ask for Bernaise on the side you don’t get Bernaise at all. Your $18 hummus comes with one piece of pita. Hard to share with a crowd. We are not tourists. We live in the neighborhood and this would be a delightful place at which to become a regular. I would rather not.
The food was subpar - very heavy and lacking depth of flavor, especially for the price. The drinks were overly sweet and not a great display of adequate bartending knowledge. The ambience is spectacular, with the view alone being worthy of a visit. I recommend skipping on the food and enjoying a cocktail or two while indulging in the spectacular, 360 degree view of downtown LA.
Service was slow mostly because of the server at our table. Margerita flat bread that we ordered was one of the worst I had but the crab cale cake sandwich was one of the best. Drinks were pricey but good. Lychee martini was awesome.
Really great time here. The best part of all of this was the amazing service from all staff!
Loved the experience of revolving restaurant!
It was just a casual date and we wanted to experience John C. Portman’s architecture.
Horrible, Horrible service from reception, service and management. I could not believe it. Bad attitude!!!
Staff is arrogant and needs training in all areas.
Chicken was not cooked properly and when when brought to the waiters attention he did nothing about it
Very nice! The views were breathtaking. And Dace was outstanding!
It's a wonderful place to go if you want to be with someone special, rotating looking out at the city, drinking some wine having some great food it's extraordinary.
Our waiter was very nice and helpful. Food was delicious if a little pricy. Went here around 30 years ago and still have the souvenir glasses so was a bit disappointed that despite advertising they were still doing them, they are not. Apart from that would highly recommend great place to spend a social evening.
After three years of talking about it, Summer and I finally took the Westin's red elevator to the famed Bonavista Lounge - where we celebrated our ninth anniversary.
The entire floor is designed to rotate, so that after nearly two hours (we timed it by resting a chip along the stationary outer rim) you've experienced a 360-degree catharsis. Downtown Los Angeles is simply sublime in its entirety. If I have any regret it's that I didn't time our visit to coincide with the December sunset.
Summer observes a non-egg-and-butter diet and the menu leaves us a bit wanting, but we got by with the loaded seafood platter. The cocktails, meanwhile, are as elegant as the lounge itself. It was a Monday night, and never got very busy, but two hours can pass very quickly when your view is as spectacular as your company. Our waiter was appropriately attentive, and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening.
If you're visiting Los Angeles for the first or perhaps the fifth time, squeeze this wonderful opportunity into your itinerary if you haven't already.
The ambiance never disappoints! A nice place for a drink with friends. The new lighting gets brighter in your eyes as the lounge slowly revolves but hey, worth the visit.
The views are stunning and the revolving dining area is great fun! More importantly, though, was the outstanding service: Vangie (server 126) was great - friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive (but not hovering). She made our meal extra special! We look forward to our next trip to LA!
Great views and a wonderful experience. Food is good too but they should offer a larger choice in the menu.
The food was cold and overpriced. The service is average and the hostess was not very friendly
Good for pictures , love the view , amazing food
Food was terrible.
Stellar views from an ambient space
What a wonderful experience!! John are server was so attentive and even brought my son a special bday dessert which was such a fabulous surprise and the cake was delicious. Drinks were yummy - food ok - the gazpacho was sooo good but the rest ok
Ambiance incredible-got to soak in the entire city skyline. Extremely fun time. Thank you!!
Just as good as Denny's for six times the price.
We were UTTERLY disappointed with this place. Took our daughter to Universal Studios, and thought it'd be a real treat for her to dine atop a tall building in a revolving restaurant. Believe me, the view was the ONLY highlight.
We were a bit early for our reservations, so when we ordered, the waiter told us he couldn't put our food order in until 5:00 when the kitchen opened. OK, makes sense. Had a cocktail and ate the complimentary Chex Mix while we waited. Apparently, though, you only get one bowl to snack on, no matter how long you wait. The waiter never came back and offered to refill drinks or Chex Mix. When the food arrived, the fries were tough and limp, like they'd been under a heat lamp for a couple hours. Really. Food that supposedly had to wait until 5:00 to be made, appeared to be hours old. The hamburgers were lukewarm, mediocre and small. The lobster roll (mostly roll, not much lobster) was so salty we had to send it back (and we NEVER send food back). The waiter apologized, said he'd be right back with another one, and NEVER RETURNED! The rest of us finished our food, and we finally tracked down the waiter to tell him never mind — just cancel the lobster roll and give us the check.
We expected to pay extra to dine in a revolving rooftop restaurant. It would've been OK if the food and/or service even approached a C-minus, but this experience fell deep into F territory. For a hotel and restaurant that place themselves at such a high price point, this is a disgrace. I've had better food and service at McDonald's. Every McDonald's.
Needless to say, we will never come back, and we have one piece of advice for anyone else considering dining here: RUN AWAY, SCREAMING!!!
It was nice for friends coming from out-of-town.
Surprisingly good food and drinks for a place I feared would be a tourist trap. No at all. Will certainly go again. The slow rotation of the Lounge was obvious but not distracting or a problem. Obviously the views were great and the seating very comfortable. The New England clam chowder was particularly good as it was NOT thickened with a load of starch. It was a true NE style.
Super cool little spot to take a date before or after a night out in Down Town. Great views of the skyline as you go around the lounge on the revolving floor!
A very elegant way to share a romantic evening. The drinks and the view are the main reasons to go. The food menu is very limited.
