Loved the food!
Had a great time on the 4th of July. Food was absolutely outstanding. Service was painfully slow, but as we were going to be there for at least a full revolution (1.5 hours or so) it wasn't really relevant. Just know that the pace of service probably won't be what you're accustomed to. Even so, our server was very sweet and friendly. The view was great and a fun way to spend the 4th. I will be going back!
We had a great time. Amazing food and an awesome view of the LA downtown area. Would highly recommend and will be dining again in the future.
Thank you for a great evening. And thank you to our server,John, for putting up with all of us. 😊
Steak was really good but I've had better $62 steaks but not disappointed with overall experience.
They didn't say the validation still requires you to pay $7
It was nice to get a 360 view of DTLA while dining. The food and service were good.
Amazing place for a romantic relaxing dinner.
Very limited menu, food mediocre and expensive. Service also mediocre. However, the view is spectacular! Maybe try the steakhouse above it’s called L.A. Prime.
It was ok. If you want a rotating restaurant, then its great. But take that away? You have a dated location, with ok food, and drinks that are pretty pricey. Service was good.
We got there just as the sun was setting, so it was a great view to watch while having our drinks. I ordered the mint julep which was refreshing, while my boyfriend ordered an IPA (very hoppy). We also ordered the artisan cheese plate (pistachios, jam, cool cheese crackers, three different types of cheeses, and berries) and the Korean lettuce wraps. For the Korean lettuce wraps, you get all of the ingredients (shrimp, kimchi, lettuce, and horseradish) on a plate, separate from each other. You can create your own lettuce wrap to your liking using some or all of these ingredients, which is super cool.
It’s great to spend some time slowing down and seeing LA from a different perspective. The price of the food and drinks are, however, a prohibitive reason to only come here once or for a super special occasion. But, never the less, the food tasted good and the wine flight was good value for money.
My Husband and I had a great tie, taking in the sunset and reasonably priced beers
I had a great time here I have been here many times. Love this place.
Great view, worth a visit!
We had a wonderful evening celebrating our 50th anniversary. On a Thursday evening, it was quiet and relaxing. Food was terrific, pace relaxed, seating comfy, view enjoyable (but no spectacular sunset that night!). But...what made it an extra special experience was the TLC provided by our wonderful server, Dace. She pampered us, chatted with us, took photos of us multiple times, and surprised us with a special anniversary cake after the meal. We live over 800 miles away; but if we are in LA again, we would want to return to Bona Vista.
We had an outstanding service and a pleasant time at a revolving lounge one floor down from the restaurant. Even though the hotel charges $15 for valet parking, we just payed $7 for three hours with enough time to walk to Disney Hall for some sightseeing.
Beware if you book this as a 1000 point reservation, you might only get one.
Bait and switch.
Service is great. Food is underwhelming.
Thanks for a wonderful & unique experience.
Me and my wife were Celebrating our two year wedding anniversary And everything was on point the service the food the scenery was beautiful. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.
I booked dinner here to celebrate an anniversary. The experience was okay. The main issue for me is that the restaurant really feels like an old hotel lounge because the decor, furniture and lighting is very dated. Compared to other venues in the area this place doesn't feel fresh or attractive. The carpet is old and dirty and the ambience is like a casino lounge.
The food was delicious and well presented - expect to pay $60 for a main course. The service was good. The view is wonderful as you would expect but it honestly feels a gimmick because the whole place is resting on that. It's a shame they haven't updated the decor - I don't think this place competes with other restaurants in this price in the area.
I am very disappointed with the service and the quality of food at this restaurant. We ordered food and it came to us 1hour and 15 mins after ordering on a Monday night! The food was cold and not tasty at all. I won’t blame the servers only because I could see the servers were quite busy serving other customers. I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
It was fabulous! Everything but the cost. Very pricey
When we arrived at 4pm, we were told the kitchen did not open until 5pm. So we grab a quick drink and went to another place since we were hungry. The service and location was very nice.
Limited menu, but the steak was excellent. A bit in the expensive side.
Often bring out of town visitors here because the view of downtown Los Angeles from this revolving bar is amazing -- especially at sunset. A wonderful spot to point out the many downtown landmarks. Love the flatbread! Service was excellent!
My boyfriend and I came here on a whim and we’re so glad we did. The drinks were good, and so was the food. The view, however, is amazing! Well done. We will definitely be back. Oh yeah. We got the shrimp cocktail, the bbq sliders and the prosciutto flatbread. All were yummy. Def wanna try desert next time, just need to leave room in my belly!
Kitchen was backed up and all food came out at once.
The food was remarkable, the service was outstanding and the view was breathtaking. If you are visiting Los Angeles this is somewhere you must check out. Carlos was extremely welcoming and got me seated very quickly. I highly recommend this establishment to everyone I know. You will not be disappointed.
We wanted to try something fun and funky in the Westin Bonaventure; so why not a rotating restaurant overlooking LA? My spouse and I shared the filet mignon with fries and a side salad; paired with an ice-cold beer - perfection! The view at sunset.....spectacular!! This is a total recommendation for anyone to come visit, just for the views alone.......
I had a great time at Bonavista Revolving Lounge. I was celebrating my birthday with a few friends and the view was amazing. The service was outstanding. I will definitely be going back.
My experience was great from the start. I took my fiance, there for his birthday. it was our first time being there.. We got a table my the window, the view was beautiful. We got the wings, Bianco flat bread and a complimentary shrimp cocktail, after check-in on Yelp. My waiters name was Mariano, he made our experience even better. He was simply amazing! I highly recommend this place, is just perfect for a quiet evening for two, with great view of DTLA, or girls night out!
The view was awesome but the service was extremely slow. The lounge was not busy yet it took the waiter more then 20 minutes to come and take our initial drink order.
Aside from the view there is no reason to go here. Prices are absurd. Service on a slow night was really slow and the food was sadly disappointing. Great view but honestly you’re better off taking the elevator up, walk one loop and eating elsewhere.
I had a lovely time for my 40 bday. The empanadas were tasty just wish there were at least two more for the price and size. The waitress was nice Daize was her name if I am remembering correctly, I wasn't happy with how long she took from the time we sat down to ask what we would like to order there was hardly anyone there so I was confused as to why she was taking so long, and I had never eaten there so I had questions regarding the menu. She was more tentative to table kids next to us, I felt we were invisible to her, until I decided to ask one of the other workers passing by if there was a manager available, She then arrived at our table. I did not leave a tip because of this. When you ignore certain people, going by stereotypes assuming a customer will not tip, you get exactly what you assume. I lost my wallet for a minute but your wonderful hotel workers found it and everything was there thank you again. Had the waitress been better in the beginning I would have come back and given her a tip.
The ambiance was absolutely FABULOUS I would love to come back and spend some time in the hotel. I will definitely recommend the Bonavista Lounge!
Awesome view of downtown Los Angeles, great food, drinks and the staff were very good.
My fiancé and I had a late afternoon meeting downtown, so I bought a TravelZoo deal for the lounge (any excuse to turn it into an event). Our 6:00 reservation was perfect timing to see sunset. Apps and drinks are yummy (nice gluten free choices, too), but very pricey, about $20 each, so we’re not planning to return. We had 50% off. Pro Tip: Parking is validated for $7, for 2 or 3 hours. We stayed 1.5 hours, a full rotation back to where our view began. Great ambiance and service, pretty empty on a Thursday evening. A once in a lifetime, I’m good, sort of thing.
Food menu is very limited, vine list is not full. Waiter is not able to provide advices to choose meal and vine.
Waiter John made our visit so pleasant. He is a great asset to this place.
