Bon Vie - Columbus
Bon Vie's hardwood floors, large antique mirrors, tin ceilings and zinc topped bar make the perfect home for its moderately priced, creative cuisine. Bon Appetit!
Wonderful experience. We came with a party of 11. We had a reservation and a wonderful big round table with a lazy Susan in the middle. It was located in a little alcove that was perfect for conversation. Our waiter was superb and took our orders quickly. The food came very fast for such a large party. The food was exceptional! I would highly recommend!
Our food and service was wonderful. Brooklyn was very attentive to our large party even while Margarita Night was going on!
The appetizers we got were really good. But none of us ate anything as a main course that would have us coming back.
Waiter was hating life? Waited forever to get food then it was all wrong. Then gave us the wrong bill. $70/2 salads. Pretty sure I won’t go back.
Service was a bit disappointing especially since it was Mother's Day lunch.
Favorite Brunch rest. in all of Columbus. Staff extreme nice and food is excellent.
Horrible service! We had reservations for a party of five for 7:15 pm. We were seated a little after 7:30. The waitress was quick to get our drink order which was nice, but after that she was a no show. She said she’d be right back to get our order, but never did. My husband even stopped at the register where she had been standing for 15 minutes and told her we were ready to order. She still didn’t come over. We finally stopped her and told her we wanted our bill so we could leave. 8:30 and never had any food. No manager even seen checking on tables either. We won’t be back.
The noise level was high but quieted down as people left. The service was fine but food appeared to be delayed- maybe because they were busy. My husband got the salmon and I got the beef stroganoff. We both got a salad. The salad was good and the main courses were okay. The food was nothing to rush back to have again but it was conviently located within Easton complex since we were rushing off to a show.
Overall- it was good. However; there are a couple things I think could be improved. The crab cakes are way too much "cake" and not enough crab. I would pay a little more if they would use some more crab.
The Mac and Cheese is apparently baked and the top 1/3 (at least) is super dried out.
My son thought the strip steak was pretty good and worth what it cost. You can pay a lot more for a good steak. He likes it medium rare and it was prepared properly as well
The service was excellent, but the food came out pretty slow. I do know that it wasn't due to the server though.
Overall, BonVie is a good value.
By far the best crabcakes ive had in a while. Their cocktails are phenomenal
Food was decent. Service was terrible. Server brought the wrong soup and wrong salad. I corrected them on soup but just accepted the salad so not to prolong the dinner. At end of dinner, I was actually charged for the correct and incorrect soup. More delays trying to locate manager to correct so just paid and left since I was running late for movie. They got me for $7 this night but I won’t return. Decor was fine But there was a 12 in tear in upholstery in the corner booth.
Normally I would say yes. I have been to Bon Vie several times over the years and have always enjoyed it. The food was always very good. But this last time, the food was so so, and the service was horrible. We actually watched and saw food sitting under the heat lamps, just wanted to be sure it was not our food. My food was cold and the french dip sandwich had hardly any meat in it. So as of now, I probably would not go back.
Great food, fresh, and good service--even considering the business for Mother's Day weekend.
Food was great as always. Good value for what you get. Nothing incredible but very solid all around.
Food was delicious, service was ehhh - quite surprised to be handed our check with no offer of dessert or after dinner drinks - both which we wanted but regrettably we paid the bill without the evening complete
My wife and I ordered the grilled salmon salad which was excellent. We’ve tried grilled salmon salads at a number of restaurants. Bon Vie has the very best in Columbus. The dressing is light but savory and the salad has avocados. Almonds, goat cheese, onions, hard boiled eggs. We had excellent service by David in the bar area and enjoyed the house wine for $5 a glass. The assistant manager J T Daniel stopped by our table twice to ask about the food and service, which was excellent!
We plan to visit Bon Vie every week because our experience has been excellent.
Food was delicious. Great service, nice atmosphere.
It was okay, not great.
We enjoyed our evening. It is a very noisy restaurant, so if you are hard of hearing and with others trying to talk, it is challenging when the restaurant is full. As the numbers dwindled, the noise reached an enjoyable level.
Dined here for a special occasion with a large group. At first I was skeptical based on some of the reviews. However that quickly changed. The restaurant has two private dining suites that can accomodate groups up to 14 which our party used one of them. The staff was not only friendly and took care of us, the food was delicious. Entree’s came out all the same time and the portions exceed what you paid for.
Someone in my group had the spicy creole pasta and made the comment that if you want good creole pasta here in Ohio, this is the dish.
Highly recommend this place for groups (make reservations of course) If you are looking for more upscale dining experience without shelling out a lot of money, this is the place. Deserves a better ranking.
Overall pretty good. Service was friendly and efficient. My beef stroganoff (much lighter than most) was excellent. Crabcakes OK but not great.
Had a very nice dinner. Service as very good as was the food. would recommend it if you visit Easton.
We had a large group and the space they sat us in was perfect. It was a large round table so we could see each other and communicate easily. There was a curtain they pulled to drown out some of the dining room chatter. Everyone was very satisfied with their meals. Service was prompt also. This was the first or second time members of the party were ever at Bon Vie. Everyone had a great time and will recommend it. I'm sure we'll be back. Easton location was really nice by fountain. We took some pictures after our meal by fountain.
Bon Vie has been our favorite place for lunch since it opened, the food is always awesome.
The servers have always been polite, friendly and knowledgeable. No matter how busy they never make you feel hurried; we like to take our time and enjoy the meal and conversation. We have recommended Bon Vie many times and taken visiting friends and family there.
Easter Sunday brunch was very nice. We all had lobster bisque and salads and then chocolate cake for dessert. Plenty filling and food was great. Service was excellent.
I reserved it for our 12th anniversary and the atmosphere was amazing, weather was very helpful to set outside . The staff were so welcoming and addressed our occasion . I knew ahead - upon reviewing their menu- of what I will be ordering and I did not regret it.
Lunch menu may not have many options but the ones it had were so cute and nutritious .
We simply loved it.
Merci Beu quo Bon Vie
This was our first visit but knowing it was part of the Brio Group, we were confident the food would be good. We were not disappointed. Everything was served with perfect timing by Mike, who also helped us choose menu items by making recommendations. The crab cakes were delicious, calamari tender and cooked right, the aioli (get extra!) was something I wanted also for the frites. We will look forward to going again. The baguette could have been better but everything else was so good, who cares.
Frankly, I would rate this bistro as "mediocre" at best. There are better places (inexpensive or expensive) to spend your money on a much better meal. Won't go back.
We had a reservation but had to sit at the bar tables. Worst service ever when here. Appetizer was cold and sent back and without even an offer to make it right. Asked for bread three times and when it was finally served it tasted wrong.
Our server brought our salad and we didn’t see her again until the bill came. I couldn’t get anyone to get us another drink for the entire dinner. Very disappointed.
Welcome lunch for a new team member. Service was excellent, but one of our guests found a hair in their salad. The server took care of replacing the salad immediately, but still marred the experience a bit.
Service was a bit slow. I waited 15 + minutes for a Bloody Mary.
It was a great experience! Service was outstanding, the environment was amazing!!! Made my birthday dinner a night to remember!!!
Good place to try something new. I would say go during the day because evening gets really busy!
Everything was fine but on the reservation I noted it was a birthday and no one was aware.
Great experience for a party of 9, for a birthday!!
I brought some business associates from out of town. We were celebrating the retirement of one of them. The food was great as was the ambiance. All of us enjoyed the evening.
Just barely ok
