Bon Appetit Ratings and Reviews
We were told via email that we did forget a points voucher. I found out that the voucher has a value of $2. This quite frankly was an insult. The value proposition needs to be reavaluated, perhaps a free desert or cocktail for the next visit if $100 spent would be a better value proposition to get folks back in the door. 200 points and you need 2000 points to get $20 just fell flat.
We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation on a cold Florida evening. We were seated next to the water for a wonderful view. The food was excellent - my wife remarked that the French Onion Soup was the best she had ever had. The veal chop definately tasted remarkable as well. We will be coming back often. The view is probably the best in the area!
We were very Disappointed We had brought friends from out of town and when we showed up you informed us of special menu but was never mentioned before when we made reservations Now it was too late to get in to other finer restaurants Thank you for ruining our evening!!!
We went here for lunch on New Years Day, the menu is fairly comprehensive with plenty of choice for different budgets, and a lot of fish. Views are beautiful. It's a bit fancy (they put ketchup in little pots on a plate rather than in a bottle) and a bit pricey ($20 for a grouper sandwich) but nice for a special occasion. I have had better grouper sandwiches for a lot less, food was very simply presented with minimum garnish. And for a blackened fish it wasn't that flavorsome but the rest of the people I was with enjoyed their food so maybe I am just fussy. I had a glass of the house champagne and that was delicious. Service was good, I would go back for views, service and champagne.
Had a reservation at 6pm. We arrived about 15 mins early. After being seated at the table waited a few minutes until the waiter arrived. When the waiter arrived we asked if we could still get a “Happy Hour” drink. He said No. We showed him our phone it said 6:00pm. We said we had been seated a few minutes before he waited on us. He said No. You are too late for Happy Hour. Really? Not very accommodating. The waiter actually spoiled the mood for the evening. We ended up not ordering any drinks which the waiter didn’t seem to like.
On another note the ladies restroom was a mess inside. There were 2 hostesses but no one seemed to keep an eye on the condition of the ladies room.
Once again, Bon Appetit doesn't disappoint. Food and service is excellent. Pianist accompaniment also a plus. The noise level was definitely loud this time, as we were sitting in the main room. I prefer it to be a little more quiet but the food and service is excellent.
Delightful early dinner on a Friday afternoon....not crowded, quiet, lovely sunset, leisurely dinner.
SHER, our waiter, was fabulous. Attentive, charming, gracious.
Scallops were plentiful and sweet and served with potatoes.
Apple strudel (warm) with ice cream and whipped creme was yummy.
Grateful for nice dinner with no loud music!
Bartender was efficient and very friendly.
We went to Bon Appetit for Christmas Dinner. The food and service was excellent. It is a lovely dining room with a wonderful water view. All in all it was a very nice experience, and I would recommend it for a special occasion. We will certainly return on a day when we can order from the regular menu.
The Sea Bass was very fishy so it was not to my liking. Would not order that again.
The waitress was not that attentive all she did was walking by a lot and saying "everything ok" and I hardly had time to answer because she walked away so fast. I tried to tell her my Sea Bass was not to my liking and she said "everything ok" and walked away right away.
Our family celebrated Christmas Eve dinner with our 2 adult aged children and we were first time patrons at this lovely restaurant. White tablecloths, beautifully decorated with lights and a water view from the table set a wonderful tone for the evening. Our server, Amanda, was attentive, menu knowledgeable, and very pleasant. Finally, a talented piano player played wonderful music during our stay. We had a prefix menu due to the holiday and choices were plentiful, nicely plated and delicious. Our cocktails were also well poured. Eating choices for our table were the Mushroom Bisque, Fresh Fruit Cup, Ahi Tuna and Escargot , Venison and Chilean Sea Bass, Chocolate Mousse and Pumpkin cheesecake. We left happily satisfied with the entire evening from ambience, food, and venue that we would recommend to friends and we will definitely return.
This is the second time we have eaten here. Both times were very good. Nice view of the water, piano was playing. The eggplant soup was outstanding as was the gumbo, just the right amount of spiciness. I had the grouper and it was cooked perfectly with delicious fresh vegetables. My friends had the scallops (for the second time) and they were as delicious the first time as the second. We love the appetizers, too many great ones to try to pick. Oysters, shrimp, crab. Some a little pricey, but all in all a great dinner.
We were in Clearwater Beach, Florida for our 2017 Christmas holiday and drove over to Bon Appetit one evening for dinner. The food and service were outstanding! I've traveled extensively, and the Bon Appetite experience was one of the best I've had! I highly recommend this cozy restaurant right on the beach!
