Very good meal, a nice dinner
Mushroom soup was really great. Service excellent. Quiet so we could talk over lunch. Drinks are a nice amount. View is super of the water. Love it.
Friends from Canada loved it. Beautiful view and good service. I thought the portion size of the lobster roll a tad skimpy for the price. But overall was a lovely afternoon and of course the view is fabulous!
The three of us enjoyed our lunch of lobster roll, grouper and filet mignon. The best value is the 3 course luncheon special. The service was terrific and they catered to us by suggesting alternatives, ensuring that the person with the walker was comfortable, and they were able to adjust the grouper dish to my friend’s satisfaction,
Our only disappointment was our table location after requesting a table by the windows with water views.
The hostess did try to find a better table ( instead of the four top ( we were a party of 2) in the middle of the dining room.) which was much better than the original table location.
The food was excellent and the Dover Sole ( real Dover Sole) was perfection!!
Lovely setting. Reminded me of where I am originally from -- RI. My only criticism was that the waiter was intimidating. That's all.
Great food, nice view, friendly and attentive waiter. Perfect for a family birthday celebration. Only complaint was noise level made it hard to hear elderly family members.
Fantastic ! We always visit for the Sunday Brunch, but any time of the day I am sure will be wonderful.
The location is really great....the food is really overpriced but the location makes up for alot!
Our Waiter, was great....engaging and very caring for my older father...that was nice too.....Some of the staff here are not too nice for sure.....2 young girls at the front check in desk.....half asleep....cold, no smiles.....blah at best.. I asked for a menu to review while waiting and they told me they didnt have one....I said what do you give people when they sit down?? and they produced one...wierd...We hung around near the front while waiting for our reservation for about 30 mins...Very cold....no smiles and we were clearly bugging them...... spent their spare time looking at their watches and ignoring guests.....amazing that someone has so much invested in this location / restaurant and these 2 gals up front..... Cafe Alfresco has no view but is a great alternative down the street....same ownership group I believe...They are stellar on all fronts at cafe alfresco....
We came to Bon Appetit for my birthday celebration because we know the view is gorgeous and the food is consistently delicious. We weren't disappointed!
Everyone’s meal was delicious. The view was lovely. Our server could’ve been a little more attentive at re-filling our water/drinks. We had to wave him down multiple times for drinks.
Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, food was outstanding, piano music was a nice touch. We will be back.
The view is great from just about every table with very professional servers. Can get a little pricey but the portions are adequate. Perfectly prepared roast duck!
Got a great waterfront table for our Anniversary. Server was fantastic. My girlfriend is fussy about servers and gave her a 10. The Boullabaise Special I had was fantastic.
Our group of 5 went on Tuesday evening for the special short ribs, which they were out of @5:30. Disappointing. Out waiter was friendly, but slow. Not our best experience there.
Classic restaurant. Circa 1960’s old Florida ambiance. A creative and eclectic menu with selections for every taste. Nice wine list with many moderately priced options. Impeccable service. A new favorite of ours!
The food was great but not the service. We had to refill our glass of wine ourselves during the meal courses. The waitress had difficulty opening up the bottle of wine. We were expecting much more for the price.
A wonderful place to take friends, sales prospects, or your wife for an anniversary. The piano player can be heard gently playing in the background making it easy to have a conversation. The sunsets over the water are very romantic. Our food server is always on his game. The lamb shank and sea scallops are excellent. I can't wait to try another menu item.
Excellent service and ambience. Even had a live pianist! Ordered a steak and grouper for entrees which were good but not unbeatable. Food is pricey but portions are large.
I can't say how disappointed my family and I were with this dining experience. The flavors just weren't there. The escargot, which at any other restaurant is usually bursting with yummy garlic and butter flavor had me leaving the flavorless curry sauce there, which is normally where any sane person would dip the bread! The quality of the meat was sub par at best. Every single fish dish was overcooked - at a restaurant on the water, that is just unacceptable. The only saving grace was the lovely server, but unfortunately there was not much he could do for such a terrible restaurant. I am honestly not sure how it has such high reviews. Needless to say, we will not be dining here again.
Was one of the best resteraunts for overall wonderful food and service. Will be back.
Excellent service. Nice view. Tables were too close together and it was a little loud. Otherwise fabulous!
It was my mother's 95th birthday. My eldest daughter and grandson flew in from London. It was a beautiful day and the food, service and ambience was perfect. Thank you for making my mother's day so special!
Domenic was our server and was so informative and helpful. We truly enjoyed him and his humor, as well as suggestions to try the Red Snapper. The dinners were absolutely delicious, the atmosphere was beautiful and picturesque. We loved the pianist as she performed special requests that just topped off our evening.
We were early for our reservation due to another event. They were very gracious and seated us right away. The experience was first class. My first time - now I can't imagine eating anywhere else in Dunedin. Will return!
Our waiter, Bob, is the perfect gentleman for this sedate restaurant. His attentive manner is unobtrusive and most pleasant. He offered a few recommendations which is always appreciated. I invited two Canadian visitors and was relieved when Bob served us.
Not every waiter/waitress has the serene manner of Bob.
Disappointed that with a reservation made a number of days earlier that we would not have been given some priority for outdoor or at least window seating on a glorious evening.
Food was good only. Flash fried grouper was soggy and in several pieces.
Sher( our waiter) was impeccable in service.
Great views, service was excellent, food very good....
First Date, Engagement, Celebration of Life - many beautiful memories made here. ❤️
Staff was great. Only issue was that I had requested an outside table (as did another couple) and when I arrived, the hostess said they don’t do any outside reservations. This was not clear during the registration process.
Awful! This restaurant is essentially a bait and switch. They have an awesome waterfront dining area... With a handful of tables - but those are not the tables you reserve. Although nobody tells you that when you make the reservation.I made a 530 reservation. They told me it would not be honored outside... Even though I added that to my special request on OpenTable. They said it would be a half hour wait for an outdoor table. An hour later, they tried to see me in the smallest table I think I've ever seen. Will not repeat. Avoid. Tourist trap!
We love coming to Bon Appetit. The service, food, and scenery is always good. We celebrated a birthday and we were delighted with the menu offerings, service, and pace of the meal. We were also able to view a gorgeous sunset!
We enjoyed the variety of music Katie played, her enthusiasm and friendliness.
The food was great, the service and ambiance.
We love it at Bon Appetit! It has gorgeous views of the water. There is a large room upstairs that is used for weddings and events, which also has the incredible views. Watching the sunset is the best from this restaurant. The food is very good, with choices of chicken, steak, lamb and a large variety of seafood. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.
Great food, Great waiter and staff, beautiful sunset. What more can you ask
There was a patron who became ill and I was surprised at the lack of concern and assistance given to this man. The customers tended to the man but the waiters and manager did not. Very surprised at the lack of concern. The food was great our waiter was good! I would go there again if in the area. But maybe your employees should be trained in CPR/choking especially due to so many elderly in the area.
chefs salad with either chicken or salmon were both delicious. Nice view and very good service. Sitting on the outside deck is first come, first served, even with an Open Table reservation.
We were going to be seated in a narrow room but asked to be changed to the larger dining room. Request was approved and we were seated by the window overlooking the water and had a good view of the sunset. We were waited on promptly . Our server was excellent. The food was excellent. Only drawback was the noise level. The room was less than half full but the acoustics must allow for all conversation to bounce off the glass windows. It was difficult for the two of us to talk at a normal level.
Very delightful evening beautiful view and amazing sunset
And food well prepared
We waited about 5 minutes before someone came to the hostess stand for us to be seated. After being seated we waited another 15 minutes before a waitress poured us water and took our drink order. Once we were waited on things went more smoothly. However, my burger was done medium instead of mediiun-we’ll. When I questioned the waitress she said well done is no pink, which is not my understanding of well done. The waitress was very polite, but because of the long time to be waited on, I did not tip her the usual 20%.
