Deep fried triangular patties made of flour, stuffed with seasoned, ground lamb, mildly spiced.
Tender morsels of lamb cooked in an onion sauce with unique blend of spices. Served with Basmati Rice.
Roasted lamb cooked in creamy spinach sauce. Served with Basmati Rice.
Great food, large portions and very helpful with the menu for a novice Indian food eater.
Very pleasant, the service was quick and accurate.
Delicious food! Some of the best Vindaloo I have had anywhere. Service was a little slow but overall, it was a great experience. I would gladly return.
The Best Indian food I have had in the Northwest! Beats all the Indian restaurants in Seattle, WA!!
This place is amazing! They are so nice and quick with delicious food. We love it and it’s perfect for a date night.
We walked in and walked right out. The staff was annoyed we showed up and it seemed empty and unwelcoming.
Food tasted re-heated. Presentation was non-existent, basically just piled onto a plate. Servers were clueless. Examples: When we asked for a wine recommendation, the server said he had no idea because he didn't drink wine. When we asked that the soup and salad be served before the entrees, he asked if we meant that they should be like appetizers. When we put leftover salad in the styrofoam box we requested, the owner came to the table and inverted the box, because apparently, she felt it was upside-down. The beer we ordered was served at room temperature. Space and location are good, though. Someone who knows what they are doing could turn it into a nice restaurant.
We absolutely love the Bombay Grill. This is some of the best Indian food you will ever find. You must order the Butter Chicken and the Lamb Rogenjosh, both are off the hook. Service is fantastic, ownership is amazing. Highly recommend.
Very nice Indian food, good flavors. Next time would up the spice a notch, we had medium.
Food was very good; Butter Chicken highly recommended. Service was a bit slow until.....it came time to pay our bill. We weren't even done eating yet and the woman (older so assuming she was an owner?) came over with her card reader and hovered over our table until I paid the tab. That was annoying and a big awkward.
Funny thing is that I probably would have ordered another beer and a glass of wine for my wife and I.
Other than that.......enjoyed our dinner.
There seemed to be a little bit of confusion upon our initial arrival. 2 separate people were duplicating each others' efforts and were asking us the same questions...
Not impressed when the girl came to our table to remove our salad plates and when she took mine, my fork was still on it. She took the dirty/used fork and tossed it back down for me to re-use with my entree. Not impressed with that. When the next meal arrived, I handed the man my fork and asked for a clean one.
First time trying Bombay Grill- thought it was good. Ambiance wasn’t super and they put everyone in the restaurant in one little corner instead of spreading us out just a bit - but the food was very good and the value was great. We will try it again
Saturday Night 6:30pm. The restaurant was severely understaffed. Our server was doing his best but was obviously overwhelmed and poor service was the result. We're going to give it another try though!
Excellent place to take a date for dinner. I was very quiet and the food was very good. Hint, if you like spicy food order it hot, medium is more of a mild. Everything is very good, not outstanding, but very good. The menu is very big so if it is your first time try one of the combinations. We got a platter that had around eight items on it and it came with bread.
Good Indian restaurant. Food is spicy, good for adult.
The service was very good, on my lamb tikka tasted more like lamb curry. The lamb was not very tender, but the dish was very flavorful; overall it was a good experience.
Gr8 food a quite atmosphere.
This was our first visit to BG and we will be back - Samosa chat was served warm with tangy tamarind chutney and mint chutney. It was filling enough to be a meal. The meat samosas were not as striking. Butter chicken is my litmus test and theirs made it with flying flavor! The portions are large. Shrimp sag was fine, nice shrimp but not much flavor - the nature of the dish. Wine glasses were filled to the top - not standard wine pouring behavior but it makes for a real bargain. They have a pretty good selection by the glass for spicy food. We ordered medium and it 'had some authority' but not too much. I'd give more stars but too many people just give 4's and it dilutes the true ratings.
Easy, nice, and reliable!
Was very happy with Bombay Grill for Valentine’s Day, but not so happy with the open table booking. The restaurant didn’t get our booking from open table, although others didn’t have this problem. Recommend you call and confirm with Bombay if you use open table for the booking.
Food was shockingly not spicy at all, especially for Vindaloo.
I have eaten at the Bombay Grill several times, and it's always been a pleasurable experience. The lunch buffet is great. The food is authentic Indian and the menu has a large variety of dishes; vegetarian, lamb, goat, shrimp. Good salads and apps too. If you are not familiar with Indian cuisine, the staff is great at offering suggestions. You can order the dishes mild, medium or spicy. For me the medium is just right. I was there for dinner New Year's Eve. Servers are vert attentive. And it's at a very cool location in the old Idanha Hotel. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We were traveling through and heard about the restaurant from people at our hotel. Fun atmosphere, friendly waiters, and best of all, tasty food.
The food was great! We both got the hot curry and it was so good. Lots of vegan options as well.
Our group gave it a 3 out 5 stars. The biggest downside was our food took a very long time along with the drinks. If you love Indian food you will enjoy it for its authenticity. But overall it didn’t knock our socks off.
I was disappointed in this restaurant, because I had heard so many people say it is wonderful--not so. The food was tasty, minus the two pieces of bone I chomped down on in my chicken.
However, the table was not cleaned off properly, the booth had ripped seat covers, and the carpet was well worn. While the décor is not a deal breaker, I have to say, the dirty table was. Sadly, I will not return.
Family members had gathered in Boise for the Solar Eclipse. We read the great reviews for Bombay Grill and were not disappointed. The friendliness, food (wonderfully flavorful - we ordered two of the large combination meals and it fed the 8 of us well) and ambience for conversation was fantastic. We were treated like honored guests!
Birthday. Enjoyed the food.
My wife and I went by for dinner. We really enjoyed the excellent food. We appreciated getting the option on how spicy to have the food prepared.
They could use a style upgrade. Foods great though!
Great food! The garlic naan was fantastic with chicken tikka masala. My wife had chicken korma and loved that as well. Mango Lassi would have been a little better if it was just a bit colder.
The samosas were very fresh and authentic. I would return just for these. The korma was good but I've definitely had more flavorful at other restaurants. Plus, it was made with dark meat instead of the more traditionally served white meat. Mango lassis were delicious and the service was top-notch!
I would eat there again. Food food and decent atmosphere.
Authentic Indian food with options for how spicy (mild medium hot). Went with mild and it was plenty hot. Very good selection of items. Nice relaxed atmosphere
Indian curry is the best food !! You must go Bombay grill.
Delicious food and friendly service and conveniently located.
When we arrived there was a hand written note on the door that said the 'Chef was not available and so the restaurant was closed'. Next time I am going to book with the restaurant directly rather than thru this website...
We went to Asiagio's and had a great meal .. but we were all looking forward to a Curry :(
what they lack in decor is made up in their food. Simply AMAZING!
I took my wife here for valentine's day knowing her love of Indian food and not having it for awhile. We haven't tried any Indian restaurants in the area yet and after reading reviews and research I chose to make a reservation here. I'm glad I did. When we arrived we were greeted with smiling faces. The restaurant is pretty small but has a great atmosphere and we were sat next to the fireplace. They offered at great deal for valentines. I had the tandoori chicken and my wife had the butter chicken and mango lassi. We also had paneer pakora and naan. The food was amazing and the service was wonderful. We will definitely return when we have the chance.
