Our team had varying needs for vegetarian and meat lovers. BC was great for team interaction, food preparation and overall ambience.
Manager was a bit rude because we were 10 mins late, saying next time she can’t guarantee a spot, as she walked me to our table I noticed half the restaurant was empty (it was a thurs night). Waitress came whi was friendly but super slow and had a difficult time communicating- didn’t have much to say when we asked what she recommended. Food has always been great but this time we ordered 2 dishes that were overly salty and the veggies in the fried rice were not cooked throughly. Service and food was a disappointment this time unfortunately- not sure if it’ll be one of my go-to spots anymore.
Food was delicious, expect a great service and Indo-chinese cuisine!!!
Service was very slow, drinks were served 15-20 mins after placing the order & server was hard to find person!! Food was ok & quality of food not as good as before!! I guess may be cuz of weeknd!! Need better service based on the prices on menu!!
We ordered 3 different dishes and they were all battered and deep fried, but not indicated on the menu! All tasted the same!
Dinner with special friends.
Excellent food & ambience.
Indo-Chinese fusion cuisine
The ambiance and decor in the restaurant was beautiful. We liked that you could see into the kitchen. The food was delicious. They were able to accomadate our table to make the food not spicy. The drinks were too sweet. Overall, great restaurant and would recommend.
A good experience, the service could be better.
Birthday love the booths and chandelier s
The waitress was very impatient and coming every 5 minutes to ask if we are ready to order. She didn't have any idea about what Udan noodles are and she asks in the kitchen only to find out that they are Japanese noodles. We ordered Pad Thai Noodles and they were dull and not very interested to eat.
Overall, it was good for just one visit. The food is not worth the price.
Very poor service and cold food. It took 30 minutes to get water and to order our dinner and it wasn’t even busy
It was a great experience. We were a group of 15 people including kids and adults. Food was great, customized to everyone's needs. Flavorful and delicious.
Food was cold. didn't taste the same. it was the worst food ever
Food was fine...but you still need to Enhance the Taste (Indian version of Chinese Food)...Chowmin was average, no soya sauce, it need to more Flavorful (like we used to have in Barcos (Chain back in India)...BTW..Gobhi manchurian was very Good
Note: Please change your manager (that Tall white Lady), she was way too rude with the customers. I dont how other people see to it , but i felt more than Food, its hospitality you guys need to work on.
I didn't expect it to be so good, worth the drive just to come and dine there. Very nice atmosphere, open dining room with some almost private "cabinets", aromatic and delicious dishes, to my understanding Thai cuisine with some Indian influence, plenty of vegetarian choices, the servers are nice and attentive but not annoying. I would recommend this place to everyone especially who likes spicy food with fresh notes of vegetables and herbs.
Unique melding of Asian cuisines
Check the order before you serve. $60.00 spent not worth.
Your chef used Tomato Ketchup in Dry Crspy Vegetables?
Have you seen sweet taste in appetizers?
This was height.
We've frequented this establishment over the years and have decided we won't go back. The portions are smaller than ever. The $19.95 jumbo shrimp consisted of 5 medium shrimp, which were more sauce than tandoori. The other dishes we equally small, which had been typical, but the the amount of protein in each (chicken and paneer, in the two cases in question) was considerably reduced. Service was very slow even though the restaurant was not overly busy. We had to ask for drinks, wave down the water for the check, etc. In short the experience has deteriorated over time, although the taste of the food remains good and authentic.
First as a service to my fellow OpenTable diners DO NOT BELIEVE THE MENUS ON OpenTable. Almost nothing on these menus is available at the restaurant.
Of the fiod we did have, the paneer Hakka was very good. The orange chicken was terrible.
My wife had the stir fry vegetables and they did not serve her anything that resembled the dish on the menu. And I am not talking about a picture I am talking about a description.
I honestly felt bad for our waitress who was excellent and tried very hard. We drove an hour for this restaurant and have no intentions of EVER coming back.
There is nothing fusion here and I honestly wouldn't or couldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone I know.
I had read mixed reviews about this place, but we wanted to try it because the concept intrigued us. I'd say the best things about Bombay Chopsticks were the service and the atmosphere. Our server Victoria was delightful and I've never seen food delivered so quickly. And the decor is beautiful. As far as the food, I'd give it a B-minus. The appetizers were good. We had the chicken pot stickers and our son had the wonton soup. Then we had 3 other dishes: Mongolian Beef, Lobster in crab sauce, and Spicy Asian Shredded Chicken. They also brought rice and gave us refills when needed. The chicken was the best of all with a good amount of vegetables and a very flavorful sauce. The lobster was tender and delicious. The Mongolian Beef was okay but nothing special. We also ordered some Pina Coladas, which were very strong and very expensive (about $13) and they were obviously not made in a blender. There was no crushed ice at all; just a mix and alcohol and a few ice cubes. True they were strong, but still not worth it. At the end of the meal, the servers brought some free ice cream for my husband's birthday celebration and sang "Happy Birthday". It was a nice touch.
All in all, it was a very pleasant experience, but next time we want Chinese food, we'll probably go to a Chinese restaurant rather than this Indian take on Chinese cuisine.
Food was great along with the service. Will be back to try more items.
One of the best Indo-Chinese restaurant in Chicagoland in terms of food and ambience. Authentic indo-Chinese food. Very good courteous and friendly service.
Food quality was not upto the mark.
Service was great.
In good specially momos, and schezwan rice was not as expected.
baby corn starter was excellent. Soup was great.
This is the best indo-Chinese in the Midwest hands down . Each dish has its own flavor and character.
Great indo Chinese food. Excellent service and food was tasty. Recommend making reservation since it's very busy.
Service is a little slow. Its not the pure Indo-Chinese food as its supposed to be. The Manchow soup is completely wrong. Also, very small quantities for a high price. Its not a Michelin Rated chef restaurant. So need for such extreme pricing.
Overall nice food with lot of Indian people around feels kind of home for people who are from India.
The best Indo-Chinese food in Chicago! Lollipop chicken is their best appetizer.
Very nice decor and ambiance for special occasions, romantic, and date nights. Service was great and attentive. However the location in the middle of a strip mall was a little disappointing. The food was ok, but nothing special to recommend to someone.
Food was delicious as always. However service has gone way down. If it wasn't for the food I would never go back. The server straight up came up to the table and said not to complicate the menu. Also could not proved answers to simple questions.
Quality food with excellent customer service.
We were late for our reservation and called to tell them. The hostess said np we are not busy just come. We arrived to a very rude hostess who said we have to seat at a booth outside of dinning room. She eventually heard me and let us have a table after 3 conversations with her. The food was subpar. Don't order the beef! It was extremely tuff. Very nice ambiance though.
Horrible Service. The Waitress was terrible and had messed up the other making some of us wait for an extra 20 mins. Also an automatic 18% Tip charged on the bill which is not legitimate. Called several times with no answer.
Overall its the best indian chinese joint in and around chicago. Very crowded but rarely ever have we faced bad service or bad food. Just that there BC special mouth watering chicken was really bad. Rest of the food was good as usual
Went there on a Friday night. The place was packed pretty soon and understaffed. We waited for the longest time for everything and our waitress smiled sheepishly every time we asked her for our stuff.
Food was decent. We had fried rice and noodles and chilly chicken and garlic vegetables for 5 of us.
The worst part was that our tip was added in the bill so we were forced to pay an 18% tip even though we were far from satisfied with the service.
We go to this restaurant often and it's always a great experience.
Awful experience overall - would've gvn it 0 stars if possible! Overpriced food, god awful drinks...food served late &/or incorrectly...and so noisy that we couldn't hear each other...so much 4 gttg tgthr to catch up!!
India House was great - this spin-off is horrible!
Our family has dined here several times- thevIndian food is much beter than the Chinese. This time, for some reason, the service was very poor. I didn't want to complain- beacause the owners Jagmohan and Ravi Rawat are great people and my friends. Joe Gupta
