The food was flavorful, but the service was appalling. I invited a friend to see a play at the Geffen and the restaurant is close by. The entire time the waitress came to our table she talked to my friend and completely ignored. The straw that broke this camel's back was when she asked my friend if she could remove MY bread plate that was on my side of the table, directly next to my right elbow. My friend and I are not of the same race, but I suppose she didn't realize I was paying the bill. My friend apologized several times and all I could say is that it was unfortunately a very frequent experience.
Great spot near UCLA campus- a real gem!
The food was 🔥👌😋 🙏
Better than other reviews showed. Food was not the best Indian I've ever had, but certainly not the worst. about mid level. Contrary to other reviews, I thought the food had enough spicy kick to it to be good. Lentil soup was actually too spicy for my wife (who doesn't like spicy). Portions a little small for the price, but still quite reasonable value. Service was good, first items a little slow to come out, but once they started bringing food, it was promptly served. We had told them we were in a rush since we had to get to the theater after dinner, and they certainly accommodated that, we were out of there in plenty of time. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there, but would certainly eat there again if I were in Westwood and needed a place to eat.
Nice option in Westwood pre-show at geffen. You have to specify its pre- show so you don't get slow service, which for us is usually fine. The Groupon we used was one chicken and one vegetable per couple so couple has to agree on what they want. The food was very good and the portions ample. But flexibility limited for individuals.
We went for a belated birthday for a friend. We bought a groupon which is a good way to try a place for the first time. The area is nice. The food was good. My wife is from India so her palette is a little more definitive than mine. We had a variety of dishes. There was not much difference between the butter chicken and the chicken tikka masala. Both had a distinct butter flavor. I would try again as I don't like to define a place on the first visit.
This restaurant has an AMAZING chef, the food is right on! BUT, the service is terrible. They need alot of help.
If you didn't know the exact address, you could definitely overlook this nice little Indian Restaurant. The server was slow, but in all fairness, he was alone and had to take care of about 10-13 people who came early like us, but another waitress arrived to help as we were leaving. Example, we did not receive our tea until we were ready to leave and pay the bill. However, I would still recommend arriving before 11:45pm on a Holiday, Saturday or Sunday and even if the service is slow, the Indian food is so good that you will forgive them.
Bollywood Bites is a good option for Indian food in Westwood. We had the Sunday lunch buffet, which was a good value for the options offered.
A real find in Westwood Village. Flavorable food and nice presentation. Loved it
the food was good but service okay.
They did NOT accept Open Table 20 dollars cheque and did not explain why.
The Tandoori Lamb Tika was really good; will go back
