Friday & Saturday: 5:00pm - 11:00pm
Brunch: Sunday: 10:00am - 3:00pm
My wife and I were here celebrating her 30th birthday for brunch. Let me just say that everything was perfect. The cocktails, the food, the service, the ambiance - all top notch. I love eating at this restaurant, especially brunch. The best part is that it supports local farmers with a farm to table menu.
Cannot say enough good things about our experience at Bolete. Each time is better than the last. The food is phenomenal and the service is excellent. The staff is kind and helpful. The chef clearly takes pride in his craft. The drinks are creative and interesting. You won’t eat like this anywhere else in the Lehigh Valley!
Outstanding! From start to finish... Bolete never disappoints!
Awesome food drinks and ambiance. Love coming here!
Great food. Pricey. Very good for special occasion. Will be back
We were a little disappointed with the bar service and dessert. Dinners and appetizer were amazing.
Food and drinks were delicious! Thanks for the surprise dessert to celebrate our anniversary!
Always consistently delish. I'm never disappointed when I dine at Bolete.
The food, drinks and service were outstanding.
Food & service was superb!!! My wife and truly enjoyed the meal. We’re still talking about it!
Servers are very attentatrive and professional during the whole time.
We asked for tonight‘s tasting menu and one of us requested no raw food. The rest were Chef‘s choice.
Style: fusion of old world with new world, east and west. Ingridients: local, as well as fresh seafood from nearby sources.
Six courses each person, and we were served with differennt dishes with the exception of the second entree. Mushrooms of different varieties were one of the common theme either in the foreground or in the background.
Hiughlights: Cauliflower soup was an extremely delightful surprise, simple ingridients and yet tastefully prepared. Turtle soup, on the other hands lacked flavor and was a bit gamey, maybe a little bit ginger can cover it up and bring it to life.
The pasta as part of the Halibut entree dish met with 100% Italian taste bud satisfaction - the truffle oil was the sercete ingridient. The duck was perfectly prepared with crispy skin.
After the meal, we all agreed that if we come back the next time, we will order a la carte, and focus only on new or more creative dishes.
I will recommend this place as an highend dining, in terms of not just the price, but the choice of creativity.
Restaurant was highly recommended. I found the dining room seating to be tight and the noise level very loud. It was hard to hear my companion who was speaking directly across the table from me. The food was very good, but I would think twice about the ambiance.
We split the lobster roll as an appetizer and it was amazing
This was a second dinner visit. As wonderful as the first time. My only disappointment was that the seasonal Basil Gimlet was now out of season— so my server helped me choose another wonderful drink which was a vodka lemonade with draft beer. I also requested a vegetarian tasting which was not on the menu. Chef prepared the most wonderful vegetarian meal I’ve ever had. Indescribably delicious. Dana, our server also made for an enjoyable evening— she was knowledgeable and extremely helpful. We have already made our next reservation for next week. Love love love Bolete.
Reservations were for 730p Fully understand things back up. Seated at bar where patron ask my wife for a taste of her drink. Odd. Sat at table at 755p. No real welcome or introduction from waitress. No connection from staff. Finally got drinks at 815. Then ordered Appetizer served at 830. Staff seemed more interested in cleaning old table instead of serving seated customers. Appreciate that chef makes each dish w complexity but no dinner until after 9. Ran out of wine and wasn’t going to order another glass of wine for dinner. Not a real busy night. Not enjoyable. Staff needs retraining.
best restaurant ever!!!!
really an experience to be remembered
can't wait to go back
Outstanding! We had the tasting menu, which consisted of 6 courses plus dessert. They ask upon arrival about food allergies or aversions. All the courses were excellent, and the service was impeccable. Note that not everyone will receive the same item in each course. For our experience, only the first 2 courses were the same. In each course, the server explained each dish. I highly recommend you try the tasting menu. Just be prepared to spend about 3 hours. Just be aware the parking lot is a small.
As usual, our meal was superb. Perfectly executed halibut, lovely presentation and a great bottle of wine. Just outstanding.
Delicious food and great service! One of the best places to eat in the Valley.
What a great experience, fabulous drinks great food, wonderful people can not wait to go back
Absolutely wonderful and always outstanding. The Highly trained and friendly servers and staff add to the ambiance and dining experience. The fresh, local ingredients are used to the fullest flavors. Excellent salmon, sweetbreads, tuna tartare, oysters and more.
Excellent salad and seared salmon.
Lovely (and surprising) cinnamon and basil ice cream. Delicious! The basil accentuated the cinnamon flavor.
Food and staff are amazing. I love this place. This is a food adventure. We had an amazing time
The food was delicious and the service was great. It was a very enjoyable dinner.
We are somewhat new to the Lehigh Valley. There are many wonderful restaurants here but Bolete is our very favorite so far. The food was superb and creatively prepared and presented with very unique flavors. The service was welcoming and not rushed and they made our anniversary very special!
This is, by far, the best restaurant in the Lehigh Valley. In addition to the best and imaginative dishes, the service is always outstanding.
We were 4 people. I had halibut (VERY slightly overdone), my husband had scallops (he practically licked his plate!), our friends had the salmon (she LOVED it) and he had a HUGE pork chop, eating every last morsel!!! The butterscotch pudding was everything I was hoping it would be!!!
Great food. Creative pairings. Outstanding service. Will definitely go back. Great special occasion dinner.
We visited Bolete for our anniversary and wanted to do something different. We read online that they have a special chef's tasting menu on Tuesday evenings. We didn't realized we had to tell them in advance that we wanted to do this. When we arrived for our 7:30 reservation we inquired about the tasting menu and we told it takes about 3 hours but they would check with the chef. He accommodated us and did an excellent job. 7 courses of his choosing, each one different and delicious! We did not each get the same item for a course, so we got to taste extra dishes. Every member of the staff was attentive and helpful. It's always a wonderful experience at Bolete.
The service, the food and the atmosphere were wonderful.
The food was excellent and the service was impeccable. Definitely worth our two-hour drive for dinner. Nothing was over-priced, and the wine prices were affordable.
THE GOOD - The Bolete is a top choice if you are interested in quality food that is creatively prepared and presented. The staff is attentive and willing to spend time discussing each entrée and interacting with customers. Their extensive knowledge of the food makes one think they may be graduates of a culinary school. This is especially important if you are having the 6 course food tasting menu since you are not likely to recognize all of the different entrees and the associated components on the plate. Other than specifying individual food preferences, you have no control over the entrees you receive with the tasting menu. My wife and I received different selections for each course. The portions for the food tasting menu are smaller than selections from the menu, as you would expect for a tasting menu, but you won't go away hungry. This option (which is only available Tuesday through Thursday) turns out to be an enjoyable adventure.
THE NOT SO GOOD - The main dining area is one big room with plaster walls and ceiling, wood floors and no curtains, basically, no atmosphere and noisy. If you want a quiet dinner and conversation in a romantic setting, go somewhere else. The dining room probably holds about 40 people and there will always be one loud customer or group that can be heard throughout the room. Part of the parking area is paved. The adjacent gravel lot is available for Bolete customers but is not marked as such and is in front of commercial garages. Neither area is identified as Bolete parking. No need to arrive before 5 PM. You will be left standing in an area the size of a small closet.
Essentially, the chef/owner is totally focused on the food and doesn't pay much attention to the facility. You go to this restaurant for the food.
Food was outstanding using seasonal local ingredients. Accommodating for special requests -- for example I was going to choose a chicken dish -- the menu had chicken thighs == I don't like chicken thighs and they indicated they would check if they had any chicken breasts for a substitution -- they did. The dish was delicious. My dining partner order a scallop dish -- also delicious and outstanding. The wait staff was fantastic -- it ran so smoothly -- everyone seemed to know their assignment. Handcrafted cocktails were inventive and delicious. I had a vodka gimlet with fresh basil and lime. Can't wait to go back again.
Exceptionally complex flavors and combination of locally sourced products. Good value for the money. Staff was very professional and efficient.
Excellent menu incorporating local, seasonal meat and produce. Creative use of all ingredients. The handcrafted cocktails were also tasty and comprised of excellent ingredients. Service was very attentive. The room was very warm....AC did not seem to be doing all that much....that would be our only "complaint".
Corn soup was delicious, as was the butterscotch pudding.
Fantastic drinks and great food!
Unquestionably the best restaurant in the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas. Great, creative food, attentive servers, all around top notch. The tasting menu with wine pairing should be on everyone's list.
My husband and I had talked about going to Bolete for about two years, before I finally made the reservation for his 30th birthday. I regret not having made the reservation sooner! The food and experience was amazing. When I made the reservation I mentioned that we were celebrating his birthday. To our surprise they put a simple candle in his dessert, and he was wished a very discreet happy birthday when it was delivered to the table. Everything was beyond perfect, and we were planning on a return visit before we finished the first course. Next time we plan on allotting 3+ hours (instead of just 2.5) for dinner so we can experience the chef's tasting menu.
Bolete is always fabulous! The food is just always perfect. I wish I could come very day just for the tomato salad.
