My husband and I went to Bolete for my birthday and it was a milestone birthday! Our experience was fabulous. The freshness and unique product choices in each dish, with excellent service, making our evening exceptional. Kudos to all at Bolete and thank you for making our evening very special.

We were there a few months ago and the kitchen was slow. We returned for our anniversary and it was a very good meal. Pricey, but we will certainly go again.

The staff was very accommodating as our arrival time and party sized changed throughout the day. Great menu, there was something for vey palate. Staff was very attentive to our dining experience. Wish I had discovered this Bethlehem gem sooner!

This was our first visit, we were celebrating our adult sons birthday. The atmosphere was very tranquil. Everyone at the establishment was informative and pleasant. The food and drinks were outstanding. It was well worth the wait to be able to dine at Bolete. Our expierence at Bolete will be shared with many friends and colleagues.

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Bolete! Have been wanting to go back there for a while now, and finally managed to find a day that worked for us. Our party of 4 decided to order the chef’s 6 course tasting menu and we were all so glad that we did! For each course there was a variety of dishes so it felt like we had more than 6 courses because we often shared. Ordered some wonderful bottles from the wine list and had a good time trying all the fabulous and creative dishes that we most likely would not have ordered straight from the menu. It truly is a high quality restaurant and I look forward to going back for another special occasion.

Good for a special occasion. Pricey but we knew to expect that. The menu was fun to read and hard to make a choice because it all sounded (and turned out to be) delicious. Wait staff was very attentive and helpful.

Food and service were outstanding. It's a noisy place, not conducive for quite conversation. Unfortunately we were seated at a table near the kitchen door and register which was very annoying with wait staff congregating and going in and out of the kitchen all night. I would suggest they move those tables elsewhere and put the water service there where the staff movements won't interfere with dining guests.

We celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary at Bolete. Everything about the experience was wonderful- from the rustic charm to the friendly attentive staff and the meal - all top notch. Thank you Bolete for making our special night out a memorable one.

We took my son and daughter-in-law to Bolete for a belated anniversary celebration. The food was fabulous- something for everyone including my adventurous son who did sweetbreads, cod with tempura snails and a spicy ginger cocktail. But there are great options for less adventurous diners as well - the pork chop was terrific. Our server was awesome. Note that the pace is slow which suited us perfectly as we wanted time to catch up - we were there slightly over two hours. Don’t miss desserts - the signature butterscotch pudding was wonderful as was the earl grey sundae. Overall, this is a dining experience you’ll really want to try!

Chef Chizmar hit it out of the park again. Everything we had was outstanding. Mushroom Caesar salad was the best version of Caesar we’ve ever eaten. Foie gras appetizer, tuna tartare appetizer were as amazing as always. Panko crusted cod over lobster pasta was new to us and equally amazing. And butterscotch pudding to go. Friendly, attentive service as always. This was probably the best meal we’ve eaten at Bolete and we’ve had a lot of stellar meals there.

Outstanding food. 200 year old stage coach stop building with great character.
Only negatives - hostess was a bit rude but server and manager were great. Other customer was WAY too loud.

Went for our anniversary, and everything was excellent as always. From the moment we walked in the door, we were acknowledged by every employee, and treated very well. Wait staff is quick to notice empty drinks or plates, and takes care of things right away. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the food and also very pleasant to deal with. Food was great, there are always interesting ingredients, and you can tell that the chef really tries them out before putting them on the menu. We will definitely be going back.

Second time we have been here for dinner, amazing food! Only issue was that they ran out of two seafood entrees listed on their (not expansive)menu and had to substitute a different fish.

We went there On a Tuesday night for a birthday dinner the waitress was attentive and kind giving us good suggestion for drinks and food are water was never empty our food was delicious we could not of asked for a more luxurious experience

My first trip to Bolete was a rewarding one. The food was absolutely fantastic and the menu had many choices to my liking. The drink menu was very creative and delicious. A notable and extensive wine list made choosing a compliment to dinner easy and satisfying. A locally sourced menu makes the experience well worth the trip. I will be returning in the summer and early fall when the menu options from local farms is more extensive... it should be wonderful.

We always enjoy dining at Bolete. The food/chef(s) as well as the service are excellent . The only drawback is it can be loud. The dining room is one large room in an old, historic building in which the original wood plank floors and plaster walls/celings have been beautifully preserved but as a result, there’s no sound absorption. However, that certainly does not stop us from going back again and again! We highly recommend it!!

This is a gem outside of Philadelphia. I dined at the bar and had a lovely meal. Being from Southeastern MA, I was thrilled to see seafood from my region on the menu. I wanted to try everything on the menu so I plan to return soon!

I enjoy their creative menu and the cozy location.
On my most recent visit, I was a bit disappointed with my foie gras, must say, the pairings were totally incongruent with it. Hamus is just not a good pairing...

This was our second visit- a delayed Valentine’s dinner- and the food and service were impeccable again. This time we just ordered each an appetizer and main dish and shared a bowl of rich and creamy house made chocolate ice cream. The bottle of wine that the waiter suggested was perfect and not unreasonable.
But it was so hard for me to choose just one dish off this fabulous, ever changing and seasonal menu!
The first time we went, for my birthday in June, our reservation was for 5 pm, and we both did the tasting menu with one wine pairing- which we shared. That’s the way to go, in my mind. Often we had different dishes so, between us, we probably tasted 80% of the menu- like tapas- in small portions. Each dish was fabulous, meticulously conceived and gorgeously plated. Things we wouldn’t have ordered turned out to be some of our favorites.
I will definitely do that again on my next visit so that I can savor more of this wonderful chef’s creations! I am a good cook and travel often in Europe and really appreciate being treated to such wonderful quality food with such delicate flavors as well as being waited on with grace and finesse. A real treat for me! Merci!

It was easy to see and feel and taste why Bolete has been named as one of the best in the country. Our evening was perfect from start to finish. We felt like we were hosted by a family in their beautiful home. It was as if they were sharing their heirloom family recipes that each member took great pride in. Each sip and bite was delightful! We loved it and can’t wait to go back!

I brought my wife to Botete for our 5th Anniversary. We live locally and have always wanted to try it. We are very glad we did. The service was extremely attentive but ovely so that it was too much. It was just right (thank you Jennifer). Co-owner Erin came to our table and was very nice as well.

We started off with a bottle of wine (to go along with dinner instead by the glass and I had one of the special drinks...The Remedy. It was very good. Appetizers started with calamari which was amazing and the yellow fin tuna salad which was also very good. The calamari was better.

My wife had the seared scallops and I had the crispy duck leg which were both very very good. The duck skin was so crispy and tasty. We finished with dessert, lemon meringue and butterscotch pudding. I'm not a big fan of butterscotch but that was delicious and so was the lemon meringue.

A few minor negagtives. We had a group seated next to us who were so inconsiderately loud. I was annoying especially one of the women. Not the restaurants faulty. The other negative is this restaraunt is very expensive but worth it. Don't think you will get off cheaply but it is definately worth going.

All in all a great meal! Highly recommended.

My wife and I spent a leisurely couple of hours on Sunday in your delightful restaurant. We sipped wine and enjoyed the pastries; the oysters were outstanding. The salad was the best every and I truly mean it. The lobster rolls were amazing and the fries excellent. All the while the service was efficiently carried out without notice. We could actually converse and enjoyed the eclectic music. We are definitely returning soon.

Food and service were excellent. A bit pricey, especially for drinks, but is to be expected due to it's reviews and food/service. Unfortunately, there was a couple two tables from us that were engaged in some arguing, and some comments that should have been left outside the building, and it was inappropriate. Restaurant staff did not interfere.
