Bogota Latin Bistro Ratings and Reviews
The food is excellent, and although it is a bit pricey, the portions are large, so you will get good value for your money. We especially recommend the guacamole appetizer. The only downsides are that the restaurant is small and feels cramped and noisy, and being in Park Slope, it can be difficult to find parking.
I used to come here all the time-- it was great. It's been several years and I'll never go back because the quality hit the floor. TERRIBLE service staff: server had an attitude, didn't know the MENU at all (said she just started), clearly overwhelmed, and the host sat everyone poorly given the layout of seat vacancies. Good food, awful staffing. This is a busy place-- invest in servers and hosts that have quality experience (or ANY experience). It's sad. I regret taking my boyfriend there for his Birthday; we spent most of the time frustrated and trying to flag down our server for things like sauces, plates and napkins. I was so embarrassed with my choice.
Everything was really good. Service was excellent, our waiter was really knowledgeable about the menu. He really made great suggestions. The meal was great I would definitely recommend the empanadas. I also had the steak and shrimp. Dinner was delicious. The happy hour drinks were delicious... sangritas.
Traditional food & drink that does not disappoint! The service is fantastic and the ambiance is like you walked off the Brooklyn streets and into a restaurant in Bogota! Cannot recommend this place (and the jalapeno margarita) more!
We live in Manhattan but will definitely be making the trip back to Brooklyn for Bogota Latin Bistro!
The service was very poor. The waiter(Edgar) was making a mockery of myself and my date because I requested arroz con pollo without carrots and peas and it’s only premade with rice carrots and peas mixed in and I had to pick the peas out. The food was extremely overpriced. It was loud ambience. My date and I agreed to never go back and we definitely do not recommend it to anyone.
We were extremely disappointed in our NEW YEAR’S Eve outing. The service was Mediocre although our server Kevin was friendly. This was our 5th trip there on NYEve on what should have been a great night. No party favors like in the past( hats, whistles, etc) the entrees showed up 5 minutes after the appetizers were served. A 20% gratuity was added without prior knowledge ( Party of 3) the Ambiance was quite nice and the drinks were tasty.
Was disappointed that there was no mention of pre fix menu when I made my opentable reservation. Arrived at restaurant to find a $50 limited menu with some of the restaurant’s signature perks (ie: plantain chips) abandoned for the evening. We were seated in back outside space where the heat went out making the space unbearably cold. Had to complain multiple times and restaurant made no offer of complementary drinks or dessert as apology. Food was not as good as on previous occasions-won’t be rushing back.
