Bogota Latin Bistro Ratings and Reviews
Traditional food & drink that does not disappoint! The service is fantastic and the ambiance is like you walked off the Brooklyn streets and into a restaurant in Bogota! Cannot recommend this place (and the jalapeno margarita) more!
We live in Manhattan but will definitely be making the trip back to Brooklyn for Bogota Latin Bistro!
The service was very poor. The waiter(Edgar) was making a mockery of myself and my date because I requested arroz con pollo without carrots and peas and it’s only premade with rice carrots and peas mixed in and I had to pick the peas out. The food was extremely overpriced. It was loud ambience. My date and I agreed to never go back and we definitely do not recommend it to anyone.
We were extremely disappointed in our NEW YEAR’S Eve outing. The service was Mediocre although our server Kevin was friendly. This was our 5th trip there on NYEve on what should have been a great night. No party favors like in the past( hats, whistles, etc) the entrees showed up 5 minutes after the appetizers were served. A 20% gratuity was added without prior knowledge ( Party of 3) the Ambiance was quite nice and the drinks were tasty.
Was disappointed that there was no mention of pre fix menu when I made my opentable reservation. Arrived at restaurant to find a $50 limited menu with some of the restaurant’s signature perks (ie: plantain chips) abandoned for the evening. We were seated in back outside space where the heat went out making the space unbearably cold. Had to complain multiple times and restaurant made no offer of complementary drinks or dessert as apology. Food was not as good as on previous occasions-won’t be rushing back.
Decent place, food is not bad but the prices are more than outrageous. $10 a for mojito, $7 for a beer, $24 for a super small bandeja paisa, $7.50 for a slice of 3 leches? These are nightclub prices, Bogotá Colombian Bistro won't see me again! It's not worth it to pay all that money just to sit there and have some food.
The party and I arrived at Bogota to be seated immediately. Our server was extremely attentive, and informative of the foods, pricing, and assistance. Everyone loved the food, the only problem we had was there was a leak where we were seating. Other than that we were all fine with everything we received.
Came from out of town to see a show at the Barclay's and this was listed on OpenTable's site as being close to the center-indeed it is a short walk away. Had the garlic roasted chicken which was amazing! If you're a garlic fan then this is your dish! Though the breast was slightly overcooked, you really can't go wrong. Plenty of flavor! Had coconut rice and red cabbage salad which were outstanding as well. The chipotle sauce was so good and smoky that after the show I went back and bought two bottle to take back home with me.
Only issue I had was our table: we were seated in the back which used to be a patio but is now covered and walled-in. We were seated right next to the air vents and could hear the air rushing over the grates and the rattling due to looseness. There were also dead leaves, dust and dirt trapped on the other side of the Plexiglas. This definitely took away from the ambiance and didn't give an impression of cleanliness. Please address this.
Overall I would return but I'd ask for an inside table.
