An absolutely wonderful experience. We unfortunately did not have time to have a full dinner, but our appetizer was beautifully prepared and delicious, and the cocktails were excellent. Will definitely be back.
After not eating out for almost an entire year due to the pandemic, this was probably the best way to go back to eating out. Everything about this dinner was perfection. The service was phenomenal, the food was superb, and the atmosphere could not have been better. Wish we could go back every month. Love it.
Had to wait thirty minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. food was not worth $220 for two steaks, two Caesar salads and one side. The only good thing was the salad. Steak had no flavor.
Had a wonderful time! Service was excellent and food was amazing!!!
Such a cool place! 3 tables and fabulous personal service
Dan was AMAZING. I think we found our new favorite spot in the whole city. Food, service, drinks, ambiance - all top notch. Truly cannot wait to go back !
Excellent service, generous portions, cool cocktails, old school speak easy vibe. Bottom line, my wife loved it, that’s all that matters. Would definitely recommend.
Me and my SO love coming to Bogies Place for special occasions. It’s great atmosphere, amazing food, and the staff are so nice and professional!
Bogie's is always great, the food is fresh and well prepared, the drinks are creative and fairly strong, the staff is probably the best part though. Every server I've ever had has been attentive, knowledgeable and never overbearing or pushy. Often, they even take musical requests. The place is great, don't tell too many people.
This is a great spot if you’re looking for a quiet, intimate atmosphere. Service was awesome and the food was very flavorful. The leftovers were just as good. We’ll certainly be back.
Very enjoyable experience. Might not have knocked our socks off but it fit the bill for a comfortable dining experience, especially in these trying times. Our waiter Kevin was very personable.
Such an interesting little place. I believe it’s a side project of the JM Curley ownership and unfortunately it feels like it. The food is not great. It’s mediocre at best but they still charge like a high end steakhouse. It’s certainly not worth it. But I do hope they don’t slide further down in quality. (Been here a few times before). To the ownership, it’s worth saving. Put some effort into it.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. This charming hidden dining room and it's awesome staff is a gem for a night out. Treat yourself.
Amazing and wonderful. Intimate and delicious food. Great time
Absolutely amazing. The wait staff was extremely attentive and the meal was the best meal we had in Boston
Nice evening. A little pricey for the level of experience.
Love the small space and intimate atmosphere. I ate rack of lamb, which was perfect!
Absolutely incredible! My wife and I will be back!
This was a truly exceptional experience. We visit Boston once a year, and had looked forward to returning to this hidden gem. It exceeded our expectations because Kevin was an outstanding server and the food was delicious. Sitting at the bar is really special, because we got to chat with Kevin and get his suggestions and excellent recommendations. I had rack of lamb and my friend had the NY strip - both perfectly prepared. We will look forward to returning next year!
Kevin was awesome and made the experience a very good one. And the food was amazing.
Staff was not to friendly about the fact I had to sign in at the front of the restaurant. Waiter was much more attentive to other tables.
The steak I ordered wasn’t available. The replacement option was a worse steak for the same price. Switched to a different steak, came out way over cooked. The restaurant is hidden in JM Curley behind a curtain. Better off staying in JMC for better food at a lower price.
This is a great little gem, hidden away from screaming children and obnoxious people on their phones. This is the perfect place to go if you hate crowds and love a dark romantic space. A peaceful dinner alone here would be great too! Music was fantastic and appropriate for the setting.
Second time coming here for a fancy dinner. It is amazing food and service. We had a great meal and server that night as always. Even with small space there was no pressure to finish and pay.
Great quiet find in the city and location to theaters. Food was fantastic. Very knowledgeable waiter Kevin. Bone marrow app was delicious. The clam chowder with bacon was very rich with just the right amount of smoked flavor. The filets were seasoned very well and cooked perfectly. The Mac n cheese had a sweet flavor of carmelized onions. Would highly recommend
Kevin was outstanding! Lucked out to be the only table in this 6 table speakeasy! He handmaid us cocktails that were off menu and the food was outstanding! Perfect anniversary!
This secret steak house is truly a gem. Amazing food, service, ambiance...second to none!
Amazing service and even better food in a hidden gem restaurant!
Moved away from Boston
The truth is, we had high expectations for this place. Unfortunately it felt a bit flat. We liked that it's a hidden place, a speakeasy-like steakhouse. That was a cool factor for the birthday guy. We also like the cocktail "show." Cart was pushed out cocktail was made in glass skull and then smoke was pumped and the lit on with flash fire. Very cool and tastey, although the same drink did not taste the same. Still good. Then for the main dish, steaks. We had a filet mignon and porter house with some side dishes. Everything was going nicely until the steaks. They came to our table OVER SEASONED! Trust me, the bday guy like salt AND the fact the steaks were over seasoned even to him, that says alot. He returned his, I kept mine, but have to trim off the surface. So disappointing! Come on, it a steak specialty place and they screwed up! But at last, they gave us a dessert with candle for the birthday boy. That was nice. Service was great. We would probably go back and give it another try... but we'll see.
We have been back now a few times. This is by far one of my favorite places to dine in the area!
Hidden gem!! Amazing food, very cool atmosphere.
Amazing experience at Bogies place. It is the only speak-easy like steakhouse in Boston that I have attended. Very cool ambiance, professional service, and great cocktails+food. The bartender and waitress was very knowledgeable and made amazing cocktails. Highly recommend for a special occasion, or just a night out in an intimate, unique setting.
Had the most fabulous time here! The Poor Yorick cocktail was such a fun show, our waiter was fantastic and had tons of great recommendations, and the food was stellar. 10/10 would recommend.
A different experience. Staff was excellent. Food and drink were delicious. Throw back to the speak easy era, change of pace that allowed for enjoying a great meal and one's company.
This is a hidden gem -- love that it was an actual speakeasy back in the day. We had an amazing meal and excellent service by Camille on a Friday night. Thank you! You rock, my friend. And we will be back -- bringing fun friends!!
Very cosy and hidden place. Great host who is also the bartender and very entertaining. Steak was awesome.
Ordered the Filet, Tomahawk, and Strip steaks and all were completely over-salted, especially the Filet. We tried to give some honest feedback but our waiter was not really interested in listening. We were disappointed to see such nice cuts of meat be ruined by so much salt.
Kettle one martini tasted like Stoli raspberry Steak was over cooked. Greasy fried Brussels sprouts. Mushroom side and bone marrow were just ok. Fish was dry. Don’t bother. There are much better places to go.
